There were times where Maiden didn't wish he was a Beast hunter. it would have been a much more simple life, chasing gems around and following after the lights. It was a much harder life, going out and facing potential doom for slivers of materials. But here he was, beating down another enemy in a moment of reflection. The creatures didn't seem capable of listening as far as Maiden noticed. Cried nor screams nor any sound seemed to deter them from their perceived threat, most of the time it was indeed real. Times like now, when the shadow began to stab at it in defense. "Why are you even bothering with me?' he pleaded, pushing the creature back. there was no reply. there never was. Ideih had been simply walking by when she saw someone having trouble by themselves. She blinked. Whoa..way to do that by himself!
But he looked like he needed help.
She couldn't not try. Ideih shot the thing and it dissipated with just the one shot.

shame. it was once again back. the shame that he was still too weak. too weak to help himself and therefore anyone else. It was hidden by his smile. "Thanks for the assistance, you showed up right in the nick of time." he replied back happily. A couple of pieces were tucked into the grey folds and nestled in place with the others.
