Greetings in the name of our Savior and Lord!

I was talking to my 81 year old daddy the other day (who is a preacher), and we were exchanging thoughts about how the enemy (Satan) likes to try to derail the gospel train when it begins to gain forward momentum.
My father remarked, "For sure, if you don't run into the devil head-on, you may be going in the wrong direction."

What do we, as a body of believers, do when we are confronted by challenges from that old serpent that seems to come at us in all types of forms from self imposing people that misuse the Word of God, or to doubt, to pain and discomfort, and other obsticles in our lives?
I'm persuaded, that when we draw closer to God, closer to each other, we put our own desires on the back burner and we come together in Unity, Harmony and Fellowship.
What's more, we do this daily. Want proof? Let's take a long look at Acts 2:46-47 of the Holy Bible.
(KJV) Acts 2:46-47, And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Let's look back at when the followers of Christ watched their Master ascend into heaven and listen to the words of our Lord, as He gave them instructions of what to do next.
Luke 24:49 gives us these words of advice.
(KJV) Luke 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endured with power from on high.

Jesus picked up on His instructions in Acts 1:4-5. And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

One hundred and twenty souls, all followers of Jesus, made their way secretly into an upper room in Jerusalem. They huddled with each other and prayed and sought solace from God because their Master, their teacher, their mentor, Savior and Lord was no longer with them. They knew that they might face the same persecution, beatings and death that they had seen Jesus endure. While the Bible doesn't tell us exactly how hey prayed, I am convinced it was something like this.

The believers comforted each other, shared each others doubts and fears, pledged to take care of each other and stick closer than brothers. They were in that upper room and found themselves in agreement that their ministries must continue. They agreed that the cost might be heavy. They also agreed that whatever they suffered, it would never compare with the blessings that would come from serving God and their Savior.

You know the rest of this historic event. The same God who sent His only begotten Son to die on the cross for your sins and my sins, sent His Holy Spirit to fill that entire upper room and to enable and empower each disciple to go forth and preach the gospel.

That brings us to this very day. Their mission is also our mission. Their walk is our walk. The path may not be easy, but it is always the right path. We may pay a price for our faith and our obedience, but the reward in glory far exceeds anything our finite minds could envision.

Let us ask God to bring us together in unity and under the direction of His Holy Spirit.
Let us agree to lift each other in prayer, to share each other's burdens, and to follow Jesus, wherever He leads.

Amen, brother; just curious, but what sort of Bible studies are you currently doing? At the present time, through Youversion's 'Bible', I am doing a 366 day Billy Graham study. Living day by day in the Lord's word and spreading it like wildfire.

I encourage you to continue with you're lessons from the Reverand Billy Graham, as well if you get the chance too read or listen to Doctor David DeHann, as well as his son Dennis DeHann, Moody Bible College, and Trinity Bible College, and the Radio Bible Class Ministries all have very good on line free classes that you mabe interested in as well; and please continue to read you're Bible daily, because not only does 'faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God', but knowledge and wisdom comes to you and is given freely by the Holy Spirit to those who commit their lives to stay in the center of God's perfect will. Please take the time to study the Book of James and especially the 5th chapter of the Book of James will be helpful to you as well.
Good luck on you're path of the straight and narrow way to the kingdom of God.
You're brother in the family of God;
Aaron - T.S.K.
p.s.
This is just between you and God; But I would be remiss in the Spirit of Truth also know as the Holy Spirit; to not say that you're avatar's siggy should reflect more of Him {Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ} and not of the world.
It is probably a old siggy and has gone without notice by you til now, I'm sure of that brother.
Be blessed always.
