I was looking for a breath of life.... To get a dream of life again....a little of vision of the start and the end, but all the choirs in my head sang "no"....But I needed one more touch Another taste of heavenly rush And I believe; I believe it so... _________________________________ • ☉• Ɉυ'Ðѻηηą"Well...that's taken care of then," she stated in a bored yet slightly exhausted sounding tone. Though she was far from physically tired, merely mentally strained from the stupidity that she had just so effortlessly bumbled into the dirty floor of an ever dirtier tavern. Coming into Neutral City she hadn't been able to express the place in words, but it wasn't the sights that drew her in, but rather work. And for a wandering elf, an elf that's profession that was tracking and hunting, with a side of rouge like trade, work was hard to fine, and specially in a sparkling city. For Ju'Da though, she knew looking in the dirtier parts of the city she would find it. However, she often found trouble on top of it as well. And here it was before her, groaning with blood rushing from his broken nose. Sighing, she took a seat at the aged and brawl worn stool at the bar. Slapping down two silver coins and shoving them forward. "One for the damages and one for a drink, if you'll be so kind."Ju'Da wasn't a stranger to the underbelly of a city. She was a woman, and an elf, to be seen here was a rarity, and usually the drunkards and young or old men trying to prove themselves picking fights with her. It never really changed, but the show often paid off for the hassle it caused; showed off her skills to potential clients. Seeing an ale put before her, Ju'Da took it and down a good swallow. It was cheap and it was poorly made, but it still was refreshing. Now she waited to see just what else would come her way. And I needed one more touch...Another taste of divine rush And I believe, I believe it so... Whose side am I on? Whose side am I... ? Whose side am I on? Whose side am I... ? oh and my heart is a hollow plain, for the devil to dance again. I was looking for a breath of life....

Rúna Ridus She was making her usual delivery to the darker parts of Neutral City, a section that she liked to forget about each time she left it. Rúna worked for herself, an independent delivery company. It was small... but she could get the parts. Walking through the doors and straight to the bar with her box placed on the table, the bar man, owner of the... whatever this place is, then leaned and said 'how about today i pay you with a favour, pretty Rúna'. 'Lay off, pig, i want the usual payment. Twice the amount if you're going to be like this' she warned, crossing her arms and looking to the shady man.
'Pig?' he then said 'These parts are hardly worth half of what i pay you already!' he then tried to grab her chest by the clothes but she grabbed him 'excuse me?' she asked. 'You little brat' he then intimidatingly retaliated, attempting to throw a punch.
She ducked, cast a spell of magic on the counter as it lit up with a circle of light and small lines and circles. Almost like she moved in slow motion and ignored the rules of physics she jumped, staying low and placed both feet on the magic and suddenly - without time to think - the bar man was pulled over the counter as she jumped with great speed to the other side of the room, throwing him into a table and chairs. She landed safely with similar magic below her feet that quickly faded. He was dazed, and unluckily for him, Rúna knew he was of little magical expertise.
'I'll just take my parts and be on my way, Mr Pigger' she then said, brushing her hands together and exaggerating his last name, so that all could hear it.

This time she savored it, she was no heavy drinker, enjoyed it casually...course didn't mean she couldn't hold her drink either. Ju'Da sipped her drink as she turned in her stool to face the rest of the room. What stares she had been able to catch made her smirk; the elf tracker had been more then aware of those stares before she even sat down. The moaning regretful p***k on the floor had moved himself to a chair with his buddies. Though none to happy about his state, none of them seemed eager to mess with her. Continuing to mind her own business, it was when another woman came into the tavern. One far more feminine and dressed feminine to match oddly enough. Of all things she had a box on her hip and demanding the owner and bartender money. Letting her elvan ears over hear out of curiosity, which often got her into trouble, Ju'Da became more and more entertained as things played out. By the end of it, with the girls play of magic impressive enough, and him just bewildered to the point of seeing stars, she couldn't hold it in. "Ahahahaha....oh that's fabulous. Usually I'm the one giving the show, nice to be on the other end this time around. Perhaps he'll learn his lesson now," grinned the track in a friendly nature to the girl that came in and just demanded attention. Rúna Ridus Far beyond the hazy borders of my heart I can see a place It's something like this Every now and then I don't know what to do Still I know that I Can never go back
Finishing up, she walked over to the counter and firmly placed her hands on the package. Breathing out she closed her eyes for a second but opened them again. Someone was talking to her. She turned her face so that her eye could catch a glimpse of the woman speaking to her. Through the gaps of her hair she could see her, an elf with long red hair, an almost flat face.
Her speculation.
At first she didn't seem to reply, but then she came through. 'He'll never learn' she said, her voice monotone and implied she had made her decision, knew what his outcome would be. She then lifted the box and placed it back on her good hip. She then seemed to ignore the elf, choosing to make her way out and forget this like another normal day.
And oh, I know, the world of Real Emotion Has surrounded me I won't give into it Now I know, that world It is the only way my heart can go I hear your voice calling out to me You'll never be alone If from time to time It's an upward climb All I know is that I must believe Cause the truth I'm seeking Always was inside of me

Odd really, considering it was a mere box, but her action alone told that it was at least worth a little something. Curiosity ate at her like a nasty beast starving,Ju'Da though was used to it, and kept it leashed. At the words of never learning, she chuckled and nodded along with a finisher of a shrug. "What can a woman do huh?" the elf droned, having known her own experiences with men, as rare as they were. Seeing as the woman was most likely departing, Ju'Da wasn't ready for the fun to end. Something made this feel like trouble was brewing, and the redhead was always looking for that, or in some ways it found her. This woman though, as protective of the box as she was, made her wonder just who else would want it; how much it was worth? Downing the last of her drink, which wasn't much, Ju'Da lurched from her seat and casually strolled after. Ignoring the fact that the dark haired magic wielder was giving her the stiff shoulder, walked on, a few steps behind her. "Mind if I ask what's in the box? Can't help but notice your pretty fond of it."And I needed one more touch...Another taste of divine rush And I believe, I believe it so... Whose side am I on? Whose side am I... ? Whose side am I on? Whilst she was walking, making her way out of this pigsty, footsteps followed her and at first she thought it could have been the barman. To her own thoughts though she justified the steps were too light to be his drunken-a** of dog behind her. Time to get these parts back to the depot and carry on with business. She was so close to the door too when that same elf persisted with asking a question. She only said 'You ought to know what you've been drinking before i tell you' as she carried on, opening the door to the outside city. The slums of the city, at least.
'Hey!' came the familiar barman's voice from amongst the wooden rubble. Then Rúna mumbled to herself 'such a mundane man' she then turned and said 'sorry' to the elf as she stuck an arm over her shoulder and cast a circular pattern like before below his feet. A bit of extra gravity never hurt someone, and unfortunately for him he couldn't fight it either, being of no magical descent except for the extra endurance of Magic Earth humans. Rúna then turned again ready to depart.

A city had its perks, numbering well into the hundreds, however it had it's cons as well. Ju'Da was noticing those more and more these days as the busy city life grew more and more cumbersome. Wandering the streets as she was, throwing a ripe green apple up in the air effortlessly; landing without a sound in her palm. Ju'Da repeated the motion as she weaved through the slightly busy crowd. "If I was a potential job...where would I be?" she droned aloud. The redheaded fade was particularly motivated to find a job. However, they were plenty in this city if she could only find them. Her's were a particular kind and as a huntress her livelihood of staying alive didn't depend on earned coin. A day in the forest and she could be eating like a king. However, coin helped with buying supplies. Hence her weaving through the crowd to find some sort of task to do to get some money in her pocket. It was proving more challenging and not helping her want to stay in the overbearing city life. And I needed one more touch...Another taste of divine rush And I believe, I believe it so... Lottie was wandering the streets of her city, Neutral City. She was wasting some time since her Uncle didn't require her any more today. Times like this made her think about life back with her parents, both her fathers. she hasn't seen them in quite a while, but it didn't bother her too much, she knew she would see them soon. Meanwhile, the weather was shining bright and the city has never looked so alive, even though it may be chilly it was still strangely mild. A rarity, however... she was sure the day wouldn't last long because the nights recently have been getting unusually long and early.
"ah blast!" she heard from her side, gazing around she saw a woman who seemed an elf, but diverting her attention she saw the city guardsman general, you could say he worked for the city leader. Trying to get through the mass of people she tried to get closer. He seemed to be putting up a notice before he turned around and straightened his collar. "ahem" he began. The crowd around them soon seemed to gather as he had something important to say by the looks of things.
"If i could have you're attention please" he stated, Lottie taking a step back to merge with the crowd, she hated them, she always felt to short. As she looked over her shoulders she recognised that elf girl again, she didn't look like someone from Neutral City. "It may have come to your recognition that our city is in need of an eradicator. Whilst we are fewer in number than the other cities, we require a daring man or woman to tend to the problem just outside our walls. If you want anymore information, come and speak to me!" he then muttered "not that anyone will, this city is filled with criers...".
Looking up the to elf for one second she wanted to see if she was going to do anything, then Lottie spoke up to the guardsman. "What's the problem?" she asked. He then replied, however, "Aren't you alittle young to be dealing with something like this?"
"I'm not too young to be exceeding standards at Hope" she retorted.

Nothing much was notice that was significant; a few people here, a few children running around playing games, a particularly noticeable girl in red, and a solider tacking up a notice on a board. The last bit caught her real attention as a crowd was growing around him. a solider putting something up in public could only mean a handful of things. One being a bounty, something Ju'Da rarely participated in. Others being, money or tax notices, or other notices of law that may need to be enforced. Or lastly, when the city was looking for people to hire. The apple flew into the air one more time before landing and staying in its nest of callused flesh and cloth of the elf girl's hand. Standing straight and still, Ju'Da's pointed ears taking in the solider's announcement from the far from where she was at. "...eradicator?" she droned with a slim raised brow. It caught her attention but since she didn't know what it was and he seemed not to be giving it to the crowd she was suspicious. The young girl in red stepped up and asked questions. By all appearances, yes she was young, but that didn't mean she was less then capable. Ju'Da stepped closer stopped a step behind the girl and crossing her arms as she side stepped to be at her shoulder rather then towering over her. "You were asking for help, don't be picky now about the shape it takes. Now before I ever agree to anything, I want to be fully informed of what I'm getting myself involved in. Are you going to answer her question or not?" And I needed one more touch...Another taste of divine rush And I believe, I believe it so... Whose side am I on? Whose side am I... ? Whose side am I on? Lottie took a quick glance up and the female now next to her, she seemed friendly at first, but she also seemed like a lady that was quick to the point and didn't let any kind of nuisance get by her. Her gaze was short lived as she didn't want to appear she were staring at the female for too long. The Guardsman meanwhile narrowed his eyes for a second in irritation to the archer. "hm" he began. Placing the back of his fingers against the notice he pointed it out to them. "The forest to the west of the city seems to be giving birth to strange creatures recently, taking livestock and interfering with traders and travelers. Problem is, we don't know who or what it is, and why its happening. Last we checked the forest was just like the rest, vacant." he took away his hand and straightened his posture before adding "If you want to get your sweet selves into this business, i suggest catching the culprit in action - at night. 100 Octen for solving the problem, not each, but split between the two of you... you seem the only willing ones around here". He sounded so uninterested the entire time, before they could even get a word in he just seemed to begin walking away and saying "Good luck" almost sarcastically.
Lottie wrinkled her nose up at his as he began to walk away, he was rude and acted like he should be doing it himself but couldn't be bothered. Crossing her arms and turning away from the walking man she muttered "incompetent no-good.". She was brought up to be fair and kind, not prejudiced and ignorant.

Ju'Da glanced down at her from the corner of her one, expression neutral and though not necessarily welcoming neither was it intimidating. More of glance of measurement, eyeing the girl that had stepped up even before the elvan archer did. When the soldier made a sound that was when the looked was directed to him. This time it was a narrowed eyed look clearly standing that the elf was not at all happy with him. Or the information he was giving them. "...hmm..." came the sound of thoughtfulness from the redhead. A finger now tapping against her lips in a thoughtful expression, the other cradling her curvy hip. "Bit of a cheap job for what's in store..."The solider didn't say anythign to that, but just walked away and wished them luck. As if knowing they would taking it off his hands no matter the price. Glowering at his back, Ju'Da resisted the urge to put an arrow between his shoulder blades. "Soliders...egotistical morons with the beleif that they are a cut above the rest; makes me want to url...or kill something," came the elf's sharp reply; clearly not a very elfish thing to say, but Ju'Da wasn't much like her kind. Glancing to the girl who was clearly upset with the man as she, the elf smirked. Once the soldier had vanished, it was just Lottie and the elf. In the angst of her own thoughts she heard the elf seemingly speak to her. Slowly she looked over her shoulder and caught eye contact, and then she turned to face the female. "well" she began. "I've nothing else to do... and it will be good experience to get me into Ravencrest, now that its available again" she spoke not with too much expression since neither did the elf. Lottie did however seem almost confident about taking this on, no matter her age. She spoke of Ravencrest though, and that's prestigious. Ravencrest Academy was where people that graduate become Casters, elites among fighters, defenders and the lot, and with the borders no open to the Land of Crows, Lottie has a new prospective. She has always wanted to become a Caster.
Then raising a brow, she looked up to the elf and said "Aren't you?"

No worries, and fully trusting in her own abilities, little to no self doubt as far as the elf could see. Not many were that confident in themselves these days, more so the overconfident and lacking the ability to back it up. Like the solider that had just walked away. The comment of Ravencrest however, that caught her attention and a auburn brow arched upward. Driven girl, but may be a bit presumptuous to think she could get into that place. What really got Ju'Da to speak though was the girl asking her if that was what she was doing. The elf couldn't stop from bursting out into laughter. Full and from the stomach, it was obviously a gleeful laughter of an amused person. Deep green eyes sparkling with the mirth as she took in the girl and the question replying in her head making her laugh more. The looks she was catching nothing to her. "Ravencrest...I could care less about an academy lands and waters away. My reasons for doing this job are my own and far less ambitious, child. Besides...magic was never my gift, I know enough to get me by and be helpful. My skills lie in a little less...well, you'll just have to see if you stick around long enough." She seemed to catch the elf's attention, but she seemed to be a little list prestigious like Lottie was. Lottie was confident she'd get there, well, she hoped she was. She was confident in her self to get things done, but didn't like to flaunt it.
Raising a suspicious brow at the elf when she commented about Lottie sticking around. She then retorted with a young feminine reaction and remarked "I won't be giving up if that's what you're trying to say" she then took this moment to show herself off when she rummaged to her back as she pulled out a rod. "I already got rid of the giant bat infestation in the old clock tower" she admitted, spinning the rod about as it extended and at one end the sides flung out about 30 degrees (angle) revealing the giant arrowhead-like blade. Her fighting style was a Glaive, her very important, self designed and constructed Glaive named 13th Edge, or Edge XIII. As she finished her little show-off, the blade hit the ground at her side as the glaives equally long handle rested behind her, she then looked at the Elf and gave an almost short and proud smile. "It's called 13th Edge".
