General Rules ◘ Owners may win a max of three slots per month. This may be three breedings, three customs, or any combination thereof, but cannot exceed three. ◘ Original Characters (OC's) are allowed so long as the character is YOUR character and design. Designs created by other colorists are not allowed to be referenced unless you have proof of permission from the artist. ◘ Do not steal someone's quest idea and claim it as your own original character. ◘ Follow a colorist's individual rules when you enter their thread, but remember that shop rules always apply.Keep it Tasteful ◘ For the most part, Hell Hounds come in all different colors with all different sorts of fur patterns. While anything under the spectrum of the rainbow is fine, we do generally wish to avoid the “rainbow vomit” sorts of designs. Thus, staff have the final say on whether a design is too much and may, at times, choose to simply not accept a custom or will ask a customer to revise their request to fit these rules. ◘ Examples may include overly cluttered designs, colors or patterns that clash badly, or anything that involves stamps or symbol-like markings.Unnatural versus Natural Markings ◘ Hell Bound favors more naturalistic types of markings such as fades, dapples, stripes, spotting, face masks, etc. These can be combined in very ornate, unique, and elaborate ways (such as tribal markings, for example). ◘ Flowers, vines, butterflies, symbols and other such 'ornate' or 'filigree' markings should be kept very minimal in design, and should still retain a naturalistic feel. These should be used very sparingly in the overall design of a pet. ◘ We do not allow letters or words as markings.Clothing and other Edits ◘ Human clothing is absolutely not acceptable as an edit (pants, shirts, dresses, shoes, etc). ◘ Accessories such as scarves, necklaces, or other smaller adornments that a human might give to their hound or familiar are fine. ◘ Body edits that change the species of the pet are not acceptable. Examples include beaks, hooves, etc on a hound. ◘ Line edits such as expression changes, extra fur, additions of tail, hair, and horns, are fine. ◘ At this time, wing edits (except on the winged pose), are not allowed.A note on Cosplays ◘ Hell Bound does not officially recognize cosplays for characters, nor do we reserve characters. However, that being said, you may use a full custom to make your pet look however you want, provided they meet the coloring rules above. Just be aware that if someone else commissions the same character it's fair game!Hound PosesOne | Two | Three | WingedFamiliar SpeciesDeer | Fox | Parrot

Hell Hounds Mini Custom - 100m non-growing adult - 150m growing ◘ Choose one color OR descriptor word (adjective) and a pose (winged unavailable). ◘ Because these are inexpensive they will generally be more simple in nature. ◘ Descriptor word examples:
- Good Examples: 1. Yellow 2. Fiery 3. Faded 4. Antique 5. Horror - Bad Examples (these would be considered 'Semi Customs): 1. Fox 2. Blue Jay 3. Blue polka dots 4. -link to a picture-
Semi Custom – 300m non-growing adult - 450m growing ◘ Choose up to three colors and one marking, as well as a pose (winged unavailable). You may choose where the marking is to be placed. If you specify any place that you would like a specific color, this will substitute your ability to choose where the marking is located. ◘ Note that semi-customs give the colorist more artistic freedom. If you have something specific in mind you may want to consider a full custom instead. ◘ (Examples: 1. red, black and white with swirls on the front legs. 2.Peach, orange and pink with dabbles – her whole face should be peach. )
Full Custom – 1b non-growing adult - 1.5b growing ◘ Colorists may add 200m for very elaborate markings. ◘ You have total control of what your hound will look like, as long as it follows the guidelines above. ◘ You will receive a preview of your custom before it is finalized for any last changes/requests to be made (you may ask for a design to be tweaked only once before it is finalized.)
Familiars Mini Custom – 50m adult - 75m growing ◘ See above for examples. Semi Custom – 150m adult - 225m growing ◘ See above for examples. Full Custom – 500m adult - 750m growing ◘ Colorists may add 50m for very elaborate markings. ◘ See above for examples.

General Info ◘ Not all colorists will be approved to do edit work – please check before submitting a request! ◘ By default, edits only appear on the adult stage. However, some special stock edits may appear from time to time on all stages. Custom edits that appear on all stages are through bribe only. ◘ You may mix and match custom edits with stock edits to further customize your hound's look. ◘ Note that due to the nature of heavy/extreme edits it may not always be possible to combine a heavy and extreme stock edit together. For example - Pose 2's 'six tails' extreme edit + fluffy heavy edit would not be possible - though you could still get a 'custom' full body fluff edit ADDED to the stock six-tail edit.
Adding Edits to Existing Pets ◘ Edits CAN be added to pets that have already been certed as long as the edit is an accessory edit, and not a line edit. ◘ Genetic edits such as extra fur, tails, hair, alternate ears, etc CANNOT be added to a finished pet previously certed even if it is a stock edit. ◘ If you're unsure whether an edit counts as genetic or accessory ask yourself this -- can the edit in question be taken off and removed? If not, it's most likely a genetic edit. ◘ The only exception to this rule is if you wish to have scars or expression changes added to your pet. This is the only non-accessory custom edit that is acceptable. Major injuries such as the loss of limbs may not be requested as 'scars' in this case. ◘ Pricing is per item/edit.Custom Edits Tiny – 100m Very small edits such as a single flower, very simple jewelry, very simple expression changes (frowning, smiling, narrower eyes), etc
Small – 250m Usually these are items such as a small but complex necklace with a detailed pendant, or simple body edits like extra fluff, or somewhat more involved facial edits (snarling, howling), small and simple horns.
Moderate – 500m These include item edits such as neckerchiefs/scarves, somewhat detailed jewelry with a number of small pieces attached to it, re-positioning of ears, medium sized or complex small horns, short hair
Heavy – 1b Elaborate or large items such as fur cloaks, advanced body edits such as very large or elaborate horns, 1-2 extra tails, medium length hair.
Extreme – 5b Long or elaborate hair, multiple extra tails (3 or more), alternate wing poses, alternate limb poses (head, legs, etc), anything covering more than 50% of the body (this can also be a combination of smaller edits).
