Rule number one of wandering: Keep all whits about you at all times.
Rule number two: Don't kick monsters aimlessly around. You never know who they'll hit.
In retrospect, she should have known better than to pay so little attention to her surroundings. She should have heard the clicking a mile away. Instead, her back had been turned, rounding a corner blindly. Overconfidence. The self-assurance she'd know long before anything approached that she was threatened.
Maybe she would have, had the large body not been thrown into her.
Snarling, hissing, thrashing her wings, she managed to untangle herself from the creature's weight and limbs. Not without a few bruises for the impact, and noted lack of injury on it...
Her eyes were wild, wide and feverish, as she spotted another figure. One with a red core. Her lips curled. "Watch it," she spat, tail lashing. Her attention shifted back to the creature soon enough, sending more hisses its way. More creatures. Great.

Andie was not expecting anyone to be in the way, he really wasn't. So when the creature actually hit some one because of his kick he faltered in his follow up attack and got a slash. "I am so, so sorry about that." He apologized with wide eyes. Viae clearly hadn't been as far from the creature as she thought. The claws managed to grapple her arm, slicing in deep to bicep. Yelping, she jammed her hands into its chest--but her struggles to escape clearly did no damage. Instead, she was pretty sure she'd done more damage to herself in how she'd ripped herself out of its claws.
She turned a scathing look at the boy. "Apologize by assisting me in killing this thing. Then you will be forgiven."

A snort left her as she took in the boy's confidence. Cocky for a guy with a fan.
Some vague part of her gave him credit for his confidence. The rest of her that was pissed he'd kicked the monster into her, however, was not so charitable.
Moving through the pain of more scratches now lashed onto her arm, she struck out with dark claws at the creature's head. She barely hit it, it managed to pull away, but she'd still done something to it, judging by how it stumbled a little at the impact. Good. She wanted to prove to this boy he'd pissed off the wrong female.

The backflip had apparently been more distracting than she'd realized it would be.
For a moment, Viae just admired how his figure had looked during the stunt. Purely for information purposes. She was curious if she could do similar.
Unfortunately, by the time she got her attention back to the matter at hand, the creature landed a good thwack of its head against hers, sending her stumbling back. And all the more furious with her current "companion."

Seeing Viae get hit, Andie's eyes narrowed and he dashed in at the creature, making sure to be between in at her, before going a spin kick, sending it flying away from them both. "Are you alright?" Breaths coming out a hell of a lot shallower than she was used to, limbs and torso aching and making it difficult to move, Viae was less than pleased to see how easily the boy launched the creature away from them.
"I'd be fine if the damn thing would die," she snarled. She was... upset? Offended? It took her a moment to realize it was her pride that stung worse than anything else at the moment, tail lashing through the air behind her like a whip. It took her a moment to even get back to her feet, wincing as her muscles protested. Considering the creature had yet to get back into her range, Viae took the time to try and gather herself back up to battle speed. This was humiliating...

Viae's hackles were more than a little raised. He'd taken it out like it was a hatchling's game. Bitter, upset, snarling, Viae moved past him to snatch up some of the items left behind.
Her eyes narrowed at him, body tense before she bit out a quick, "Viae Gelds. Thank you for your assistance." Nothing by the tone of her voice suggested she was particularly grateful.
