Honestly, in hindsight, she should have been smarter and brought company when investigating that cavern. Unfortunately, it was too late to dwell on such things now.
When the creature did not move, Ixy hesitated, but then she steeled herself and decided to take the initiative for the first move. The girl let out a sharp gasp as she was shook loose, hitting the ground and tumbling to the side with a low groan. However, she knew better than to simply lay there and wait for her opponent to follow up with another attack. Rolling to her feet, the girl held the knife up in front of herself again, waiting until it charged at her. Her opponent was, understandably, not too happy about the attack. Before she could react, the creature swung it's paw upwards, effectively sending the girl flying upwards and into the air.
It would probably have been a rather deadly situation had she hit the ground, but as she fell, she managed to grab onto the side of her enemy at the last minute, a sharp pain shooting through her shoulder as she caught herself. She lost her grip then, falling to the ground with a pained groan upon impact. When it steps forward to attack her, she is already waiting, ducking under its large body with the knife held in both hands. Struggling to pull the knife free, she propped her feet up on the beast's foreleg and kicked off of it, sending herself--and the knife, safely in her hands--flying backwards and tumbling over the ground once more.
Of all the things she could have done, why did she have to target it? She was really beginning to regret it now.
Standing back up, she eyed the creature calculatingly, trying to figure out what the best course of action was. Although she was dealing some decent blows to its legs and paws, she wasn't so confident that she could take down such a large opponent alone...but it was obviously too late to think about that.

Truth to be told, after getting thrown around so much, Ixy really wasn't feeling so hot, which only went to show what a dumb idea it really had been to face this thing. Still, if she was going to do this, she wasn't going down without a fight.
Well, she had done plenty of stabbing. ...Only to respawn in the same area. When her eyes snapped open again, the girl was evidently confused by the scene before her. Hadn't she just...? Then how?
No time for questions. When the creature spotted her again, it immediately rushed at her. After a bit of a struggle, Ixy decided that that was just about enough of that.
