"There aren't nearly enough legs for legwarmers though," Stew said, jogging out of the mist and shooting the creature way too many times. He couldn't have figured out why he hadn't been able to find Hale or Tiletk for so long, but he'd had other experiences and other fights, so he supposed it wasn't a total loss. Marati lugged her new weapon into battle, lifting it in an attempt to hit the boss. Unfortunately it was much heavier than her spike and thus failed. Sadly.

She tried not to look, but she could tell she needed to fight. At least this time, the first person who walked up to the creature called it cute, and didn't - Gunshots made her scream, and she put her hands on her ears, trying to block out the sound. She had to fight, she had to do something. Her hands lashed out and she scratched.. mid air. Nush heard the clunking. He now knew what this meant. For a moment, he watched the others as they scrambled to fight the creature. After one of the females he had seen before failed to land a blow, he took the opportunity to rush in. He breezed right past her, then delivered a flurry of strikes to slice and dice the creature of fog. ....Oh s**t, that twin-blade greyling was here. He saw her miss. She couldn't miss again. The enemy was distracted by his flurry of attacks, and she used the opportunity to heft the blade up once more, swinging it over her head before bringing it down onto the creature's shoulder.
Of course, she made sure the male was out of the way.

A slow grin appeared on Tiletk's face, "Steww~, it's been all day. I missed you." He had no qualms about admitting that he had missed the other shadow.
There was a scream from someone newer to him. His head tilted toward her and he froze for a second. Something...

She wasn't doing any good, she wasn't even hurting it. Her claws came out fighting and she scratched, bare handed, ignoring the fact that everyone around her had weapons and just ripped and tore and - When she felt the sting of flesh under her fingernails she stopped, and clutched her arms around herself. "Hm," he replied. That would be as close as he would get to saying it. "I see you're still ali—"The scream made him turn, dropping his hands to his sides and missing the chance to execute what was sure to be a sweet shot or something. He watched the girl tear into the beast, tilting his head to one side and getting smacked for his trouble. Very interesting. He gave a short laugh as Stew missed, "I'll try not to tell Hale about it when I see her next," he said in a cheerful teasing tone.
Then he refocused on the new friend and wandered closer to her as he weaved out of the way of an attack, "..Hey, it's alright. You keep flailing like that you might hurt yourself, Lovely."
Not everyone could be efficient like Nush. "Better not."He hung back as Tiletk approached the girl. She did need some calming down, and he didn't have much to say beyond, "Nice brutal maiming." Somehow he didn't think that would help. Nice.. brutal... what? Fayre stared up at the boy who tried to calm her down, but her body shivered uncontrollably. "But I thought this is what.. we're supposed to be doing." She whispered up at him, trying to make sure the others didn't hear how unsure she was. Her hands wrapped tighter around herself. Creature wandered a bit too close to him for comfort and it showed when it lashed out at him and also tried to go around him straight away for his New Friend. He stabbed it back a bit but likely not for long.
"You kill these things and then they drop items and then you take it in and make things with them," he explained helpfully to her as he showed off his current model of weapon to her. "I'm planning to trade up soon!"
He was smiling as brilliantly at her as ever.
"Stew is the fella with the guns. If you don't like fighting up close? Those are good way to go. Then there is Nush~, he likes to get close and personal." He couldn't help but chatter at her and try to impress her with his battle knowledge of his thus far collection of awesome friends.
"I'm Tiletk and I like to fight with this sword. So I guess I kinda like to get up close but not too close..." He was not so subtly slipping her his name. Not that he'd ever been subtle about it before now, but now he was trying to be smooth about it...
