Vassou's eyes widened when he had become startled by the giant cat. It kept saying hello. "Say something else already!" He said as he swung his staff at it's head. It seemed to do some decent damage. Another one of those cat monsters? Imuiel saw no reason why he shouldn't lend a hand--or blade, rather--to this battle. After all, these things were a bit of a pain to take down, and assistance was likely not going to go amiss.
He did try to slice a decent chunk out of the babbling monster, but he managed to nick it instead, the enemy's claws digging into his leg with a vengeance. Did he really have to deal with this? There were so many other people. They could do it. So as it edged a bit too close to him and took a swipe he merely prodded it away on it's arm with his staff.

As the staff almost got him in the side, Imuiel darted a few steps away, turning and looking at the other shape with his head at a decidedly unnatural angle.
