Errand had entered the shrine and had noticed one of the goddesses missing. When he found her, he accepted the bag, and finding it empty had been somewhat disappointed.
However when he was told it was simply and error, he was more than happy to take the scissors and go help.
As he entered the next room, and discovered the doors. As much as he wanted to shy away from the last door he moved toward it, pushing through the yellow and into the darkness beyond.

The silence was oppressive - but he managed to not jump when the door shut behind him. Moving forward, he grunted when he hit the crate - trying to ignore the whispers that had abounded. Shaking his head, he realized the crate blocked his egress and he frowned.
He noticed the "arm" and grabbed for it, taking it and feeling around inside the box. He noticed contents filled the box completely, and shaking his head, reached deeper.
That's when he heard the heart and after a few minutes cut into it with the scissors.
The body clawed at him and he winced.
"DARREN!"
Black evil eyes and a wicked sneer. Harsh hands and an even harsher lash. "YOU WILL SERVE HER WELL OR YOU WILL BE FLOGGED!" She had shrieked, hitting him over and over - causing his skin to tear and bleed.
It hurt so much...
Cringing he winced but kept going, roughly tearing into the body until the heart was his.

As he moved on the floor became slick and slippery. Moving deeper and deeper, he heard a voice and turned. Nothing.
He continued on, the water around him getting deeper and deeper.
The voice again and he turned. Wincing when he saw nothing.
He walked until the water was around his neck. He tried to back up, when the voice screamed on last time and he went under.
Staring into those souless eyes he fought as the water filled his lungs.
"You failed her at her debut Darren! She's your sister, you're supposed to make her look good!" The flog smacked against his back and arms, and he cried out. His body wracked with pain.
"Now to show you your error." His mother moved to him, reaching forward with a swift blow she plucked the eye from his head.
"There, now you will always see...."
He screamed...

He stabbed, and stabbed, and stabbed with the scissors until the form vanished, leaving him ragged and gasping for air.
Coughing up the water, he turned and saw her.
He did not wait.
He ran for the light...
