This was the first day that Dail was waiting for. It was his first day away from home. He didn’t know what to expect or where to go really, but he knew he would be fine. He had his mother’s blessing and his family’s love. No matter what came his way he was determined to succeed. In actuality he had left home two days prior but today was the first day he was in unknown lands. He was further south and west then he had ever been. He wasn’t really sure where the neutral lands where at but he supposed he would be headed in that general direction. It was odd traveling like this all alone when he had grown up in such a boisterous home. He was tempted to hum to break up the monotony of the sounds of travel but didn’t want to lose any of this vastly new experience. He might hum tomorrow or the next day. For now the sounds of birds and of his own hooves was captivating enough.
