Amir had found the Shrine to be missing one of the godsesses, her goddess to be exact. It wasn't until she saw her actually up and walking around that she realized that it was her goddess that was granting the next task.
Accepting the gift from her goddess, she moved on into the opening and into the dark.
There were three doors before her, but for the life of her, the only one she could chose was the one that was filled with malice. She didn't know why - it just felt the way she needed to go.

Moving into the darkness, Amir jumped as the door slammed behind her. Shaking her head, she tightened the grip on her scissors before she hit the crate, wincing at the loud thud that now echoed through the camber. Frowning, she tried to find a way around the box, but to no avail.
It was then that she noticed the waving appendage sticking out of the box. Reaching for it, she grabbed it and realized it had stopped moving - and the low thumping had stopped.
Looking down into the crate - she realized that whatever was in there took up the majority of the space. As she explored, she heard the soft thump-thump of the heart. With a frown, it took her a few minutes, but eventually she brought the scissors to the pliant soft obstruction that separated her and her prize.
It wasn't until she had carved a hole and felt the contents of the cavity gushing out of the hold she'd made that the arm suddenly came to life, clawing at her as a female voice screamed.
"ROSMERIA!"
Dark eyes and a even sterner sneer. The older woman had a hand on her hip, her index finger mere milimeters from Rosmeria's own face. "What did I tell you about letting your brother slack on his duties! He is your steward - its his task to ensure your needs are met - if you do them yourself he has no purpose!"
"But, Mother - I..." Rosmeria began to retort.
A harsh backhand silenced any reply she would have made...
Amir about jumped out of her own skin, but continued on, plunging the scissors deeper and deeper into the cavity until she brutally fished the heart out, placing it in her bag and walking on.

Deeper and deeper she walked, the ground giving way to a sticky slickness that she did not even want to question. Running into a dead end once more, she turned around, swearing she heard sloshing and footsteps, but nothing was behind her, so she attempted to go back the way she'd come.
The further she walked, the deeper the water grew, until.
"Please give it back."
She jumped again, turning around and looking into darkness. But nothing was there.
She continued on until the water was up to her neck, she started to back up, as she could go no deeper.
"Please give me back my-"
Two hands grabbed her, cold, rough... She was dragged under. The world started to fade as the liquid filled her own lungs. She tried to fight but she couldn't... She looked into the cold, empty eyes and that stern, awful sneer...
"Give me back my heart."
Her mother had beaten her again, the poor ghost had a few more injuries to show for it - the magic her mother had used having torn more holes in the "flesh" of her being. She curled up in the corner of the room, whimpering as her mother towered over her, glaring down at her.
"You will let your brother serve you, or I will add a new scar for every time you do not. Am I understood?"
"Ye... Yes Mother..." the ghost ghoul whined.
"Good... now get out of my sight."
The ghost ghoul fled.

She had to survive - she had no choice. With a stab, she drove her only weapon - the scissors - deep into the earlier hole she'd made into her mother. The being shrieked and vanished, leaving Amir alone and coughing up lungfuls of water.
Her body shook roughly and she stood, seeing the light and turning toward it.
She saw the face of the woman who she had stabbed, clenching the scissors and glaring at her...
She ran into the light...

Amir did not remember falling asleep after speaking to the goddess and receiving her blade. It was cold and the firm metal of the table beneath her was far from comforting. The light was bright - too bright. The humming of their source was painful and she placed her hands on her ears and shook her head. Standing shakily, she made her way to the door, feeling for the handle she pulled it open. Squinting her eyes at the equally bright hallway, she started to make her out, only to jump as something slams shut. Turning, she blinked as there was nothing behind her. Shaking her head, she turned and continued walking, the hallway seemed to go on forever, but at the very end she could see the exit. She made her way toward it as quickly as she could. Jumping at a thud she turned, but didn't see anything. Continuing on her way, the next thud made her turn and she stared blankly. A figure, blanked hands stood at the other end of the hall, the strange thud being joined by a strange screech. Frowning, she didn't need a reason to want to run. Turning she ran, panicked breathing and her heart leaping out of her chest as she ran smack into the door, pushing at the bar on the door. She needed to get out!

Amir stumbled, slamming at the push bar on the door and about ready to cry. She could hear the creature behind her taunting her, telling her about failures that meant nothing to her. She'd never done ANY of those things! She didn't even have a brother!

Loooking to her left, Amir saw a piece of paper, it was stained red, and it read. A C E G. It didn't mean anything to her at all, frowning, she shook her head and kept smacking against the door. She needed out.

Panicking again, she looks around and the world began to blur... "Now hold the flask still dear, yes - like that... now you pour slowly... right, right...." Her mother hovered over the cauldron like a fussy old bat, trying to ensure she got the potion just right.
"Careful now... Careful...." Her mother murmured. "Don't want to spill any..."
She sighed and slowly allowed the liquid to fill the vial. "There, it's done right?"
"Yes, yes.. good job. Now we should test it... Darren come in here please..."
She frowned and reached for her mother's wrist. "Mom, no..."Yeah, she really needed to get out of here,

Looking at the note on the left again was no help. No help at all. Banging harder against the door she wanted to cry. She needed to get away from the figure. She could ear it getting closer.

No really, the piece of paper to her left was not at all helpful... Smacking the door with her fists she heard the footsteps growing closer and closer.

Amir was ready to tear that damn note off the wall for all the good it was doing her. What was she going to do, paper cut the thing to death!

Again the figure taunted her, and she clawed at the door as best she could, crying as she panicked and slammed her fists hard into the door. Why couldn't she get out!

Rosy heard the taunting and as she turned to scream at the creature the last thing she saw was the blacked, disfigured body reaching toward her. One hand grabbed a hold of her hair and she couldn't move, she realized the loud thudding sound... Was her heart. "Don't worry," the figure cooed at her. "It only hurts once."She heard the snip and then a second, she felt a sharp pin in her chest before it vanished too. Slumping down to the floor, she watches the figure walk away, one hand holding her still beating heart, the other a pair of rusty scissors...
