 Hello and welcome to the Sorting Hat Ceremony! Since you all are first years let me explain how it works. You all one by one will come up to the stool and sit facing towards the rest of the students. Once you are sat I will place the Sorting Hat upon your head where it will than sort you. Now keep in mind our beloved Sorting Hat could sort you within seconds or it may take minutes perhaps longer though it has not yet occurred. Thus please be patient. Please do remember that the Sorting Hat will take your preference of house into consideration though it does not mean that is the house you will be placed in. Once the hat has determined your house he will call it out loud for all to hear after course of which I will remove the Sorting Hat and allow you to go an join your house! Alright than I will now allow the Sorting Hat himself to address you all, please be quite for he is generally quiet in nature. The Sorting Hat
