For her second attack, she dodged a hand that reached out to slap her, and instead pulled a dagger on it. The hand fell off, writhing in pain for a moment before disappearing into the mist.
"Ouch. Sorry about that," she confided, ringing around the creature a second time. Seeing as no one had joined her yet, Chaesel decided she needed to go a bit more on the offensive. If she was going to survive, she had to do her best.
Instead of cutting off more hands, Chaesel dug her blades into the face of the creature, dragging them towards through the misty flesh. The hands writhed and twisted as she did so, but Chaesel continued. It wasn't another of those cat things; it was just ol' Ortam. He grinned as he jumped in and gave the rickety thing a few smacks of his sword, happy to see he was starting to get the hang of them at last.

"Ah! Hi!" Chaesel said rather chipperly. She gave a crooked grin, pleased by the addition to her party. The more the merrier, she always said.
One more stab and the creature melted. Always nice to see a grin in return! Wait 'til Annabell saw how good he got at smiling.
