Rolling for initiative: 1-16
Rolled: 3 + 3 = 6 Rayolun entered the arena and hefted his trident. Stalking around the edges he appraised his opponent. Tall, but shorter than him; a mix blood too. I keep running into mix bloods; Lassara, Gerrarden and now this fellow.

Oggie goes first
Ogbonna pounced into the center of the arena and raised his hands in the air. He had gauntlets! GAUNTLETS! He punched upwards, to test his strength, and faced Rayolun. He assumed a solider stance, with his feet planted together and his arms at his sides, before he bowed to the taller man.
"My name is Ogbonna! I am pleased to meet you, friend!" He exclaimed, grinning. "May our battle be both fun and challenging!"

19! Oggie reaches Rayolun!
16 + 4 = 20 HIT
9 + 4 = 13/4 = 3.25 DMG
Then, as per Oggie's personality, he hurtled himself forward and raised his right hand. He would punch his new friend right in the shoulder and make him fall over! That would be fun!

Rayolun Attacks! HP: 21- 3.25= 17.75 Rolled: 20+ 8=28 Opponents Def: 19. HIT! Damage: 12+8=20/2= 10 Damage +.5 for a 20 rolled! so 10.5 12+8=20/2 = 10 *1.5 (cause of the 20 rolled) = 15 Rayolun smiled at his opponent's exuberance and steeled himself as he saw him charge. He took the punch without a flinch and then slashed down with his blunted trident along the smaller opponent's chest. Good thing this is blunted or there'd be blood he thought.

Ogbonna dodges and retaliates!
Rolled: 18 +0 = 18 NO DAMAGE
Retaliate: 18 + 4 = 22/5 = 4.4 DMG
But Oggie was just as quick with his dodge as he was with his first attack! He lunged away from the trident and leaned forward to slam his fist into Rayolun's leg.

Rayolun Counter-attacks! Rolls a 3.... really? 3+8=11 miss sad Rayolun growled softly as he felt the other's fist hit his leg and he shifted it to avoid some of the blow. But that threw off his balance and his next swing went wide.

Rolled: 9 + 4 = 13 MISS
Ogbonna went right in for another hit with his other arm just as Rayolun swung his trident. He moved to avoid what he had thought was a direct hit and missed his attack. The result ended with him blinking, scratching his head, and hustling himself back into a defensive position.
"That was weird! We missed at the same time!" He chirped, grinning. "Won't happen again!"

Rayolun attacks HP: 15.55 Rolled: 8 +8= 16 Oggie has a 10+6=16 def.. so hit? If it is a hit, then Damage: 17+8=25/2=12.5 Rayolun chuckled at his opponents reaction. It was quite amusing that they had both missed. As he chuckled he stepped forward with a sudden jab at the other fellow's shoulder, attempting to hurt the shoulders that threw those punches.

Rolled: 20 (Add .5 multiplier to DMG) + 4 = 24 HIT
8 + 4 = 12/4 = 3 x .5 = 4.5 DMG
Ogbonna veered away as the trident came close to his shoulder and winced as he was given more than just a good scratch, but not nearly as bad as a cut as it could have been. He collected himself again and lunged forward, hoping to land a good counter on Rayolun's arm.

Rayolun attacks HP: 15.55 -4.5= 11.05 And a miss sad Rayolun sidestepped right into the blow and tried swinging the but of his trident into the opponents chin. Unfortunately he miss judged the timing and growled as he saw it fly right by the others face with out hitting.

Ogbonna watched Rayolun carefully as he swung his trident forward, missing him by a few inches or so. A soft smirk rose to his face before he lunged downwards to try and land a blow to Rayolun's ankles.
