Niabi squirmed where she was standing. Why did her mothers put her up to this? She could practically tear her hair out right now. But she had to pull through. She couldn't just lose on the first match. How embarrassing would that be to her moms?
She gritted her teeth and clenched her hands around her bow. Here we go...

Niadra shifter her weight from one foot to the other, a mixture of fear and anxiety flowing through her body. While she had two daggers in her hands, her opponent had a bow! Those things were dangerous, and she had to be careful. Any serious damange could ruin her career. But luckily get opponent didn't look all that excited. Maybe she was also inexperienced?
"Good Luck!" she said to the other girl with a smile.

Niabi attacks Niadra.

Niadra receives 12 dmg.
Niabi jumped at the sound of her opponent's voice. Oh, she was just saying good luck. She didn't exactly know what she was expecting to come out of the girl's mouth, but it wasn't that. She nodded and tried to smile. "G-good luck".
Niabi reached a shaky hand behind her and pulled out an arrow, pulling it back on her bow. She exhaled slowly, trying to come to grips with her first battle... and released. It looked powerful and deadly accurate. Niabi was almost afraid that this one would hit.

9 + 7 = 16/4 = 4 damage
The girl looked nervous, and her stutter and jump seemed to agree with that observation. However the attack she sent towards Niadra was anything but a nervous one! It was strong, stronger then she had expected from such a girl! Niadra tried to move out of the way but her gracefulness failed her and the arrow cut her in her arm pretty nasty. Oh well, she had signed up for this. She knew she was going to get hurt.
Hoping the other girl would still be at least a little nervous she moved towards Niabi, trying to get her with the daggers.

Niabi couldn't believe that her first attack had hit. Her eyes were wide with the idea of her hurting her opponent and was about to announce a small apology when Niadra's daggers found her skin. "Oooh." She squeaked out with the slight pain of the attack.
She tried to release another arrow, but it was all wrong. Her arrow flew clear passed her mark and in the process she managed to hit herself with the backlash of the bow. Maybe if she wasn't so skittish about battling she would be better at holding her bow. Her face turned red from embarrassment. She only hoped that not many of her sisters noticed out in the stands

Oh was she okay! Niadra saw the bow hurt her opponent and went to ask if she was okay. In the process she got her stomach with her daggers! How clumsy and not like her. No, after this she would never battle again. "It seems neither of us are good at this whole battling thing." she said to the other girl with a laugh.

Niabi blushed at the sight that they were becoming in this battle. Niadra had just hit herself as well. "I-it looks like we're n-not doing so... well." She tried to laugh politely before straightening up for another attack.
Niabi launched another arrow, surprised at the sheer force that it left her hand with. The arrow was zinging through the air, slicing it with it's shape. If this one hit it was going to be tough to come back from. Niabi visibly winced at what she had just done. She wasn't trying to hurt her...

Niadra shook her head. She was a preformer, not someone who was meant to fight, she wondered if this woman was the same. But she was one of the warrior woman. From what she understood they all fought. Right? Well maybe this one fought, but she wasn't happy about it it seemed.
"Woah, your getting better though!" she called as she arrow came her way. If it would have hit her then she would have been done for sure! Luckily she dodged it just in time and went for an attack of her own.

Niabi frowned slightly. She was definitely happy that the attack hadn't hit, but that only meant that this battle would last that much longer. Well, it was the price for trying not to hurt others.
Niabi mentally shook herself back to the battle. As much as she would rather not, she needed to make another move. Her opponent called out to her, letting her know she was getting better. Well that was surprising. Niabi could only guess that since these were all battles for fun, most people were in a good mood about it. Niabi smiled a small smile. Maybe she could try to have fun with this and not be so worried about it. Niadra's attack had hit Niabi in the thigh. Well, fun or not, this definitely hurt. "Y-you seem to be getting b-better yourself..."
Niabi launched another arrow at Niadra. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all; they would both get hurt, but how different was this kind of pain from say, falling out of a tree while playing?

Niadra tried again to dance out of the way of the arrow, but failed this time. Well at least she was putting on a good show. Or at least it was some kind of battle show. Her comment seemed to do it's job and she caught a smile form on the other females face. "I guess time has made us better." she commented with a laugh.
The arrow stung where it had hit, but it was all go. She was lucky so far that nothing touched her legs, and everything else wouldn't ruin her career. This was a game to her, and a fun one. She went towards Niabi again with her daggers. This battle was coming close to ending, she could feel that much, she just hoped she would turn out victorious!

Niabi noticed how evenly matched they seemed. While Niadra wasn't very strong in her attacks and Niabi seemed to be, Niadra was also very fast and was dodging most everything that Niabi threw at her.
It was like a game. And the way Niadra ducked and dodged made it more interesting. "It j-just took a while t-to get us warmed up." Niabi laughed lightly. While hurting her opponent didn't bother her quite so much now, there was still the onlooking crowd boring through them. It made Niabi nervous and she just knew she would eventually make a mistake and make a fool of herself.
She felt the daggers take another bite at her, and shifted her stance, getting room between her and Niadra before releasing another arrow.
