City Streets Field: Broken tar and faded yellow lines make up the “street” that runs down the exact center of the battle field. On either side of the road are sidewalks with pieces of concrete here and there. Fake building walls, complete with broken glass windows and grime lining the surface, limit the amount of maneuverable space on land. Trash cans and trash bags decorate the street. A sewer grate nearby continually pours a stream of fog into the air which, unfortunately, helps spread the horrible stench of the trash. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to POISON type attacks.

A ripe blast of stink air hit Zinnia as she entered the stadium; she quickly covered her mouth and nose with one hand. "Urgh... this field..." she said in a muffled tone.
Zyk the zubat quickly flew to his accustomed place on the field while Zinnia found her place in the trainer's box on her side of the stadium.
The young blue-haired trainer spotted her opponent on the other side of the field and waved. "Let's have a good battle!" she called.
((First, roll a 100-sided die or generate a random number from 1 to 100; the person who rolls the highest gets to attack first.))

Entering the stadium, the smell was just... awful! What in the world...? Schuyler walked into the stadium, covering her nose and mouth. Her companion, Sombra, a Tepig, didn't look pleased either as she wrinkled her nose in disgust.
Schuyler walked up to her place at the opposite end of the stadium, focusing on her opponent that came into view as she did. She hoped Sombra wouldn't faint just from the smell of the field.
She managed a smile to her opponent. "Yes, let's begin!"
Sombra sauntered her way out onto the field, careful of the trash bags that lined the street.

As quick as a flash, Schuyler called out, "Go, Sombra!" She pointed out to her opponent's Zubat.
Sombra didn't hesitate as she started to run toward the Zubat, dodging the trash that was scattered along the street.
Schuyler called out, "Sombra, use Ember!" If she was going to start out in a flash, she wanted to do it in a blaze.
Sombra ran as close as she could before unleashing a streak of flame, albeit a small flame, aiming at the Zubat, hoping it would hit.

((Hehe. I used to know someone named Schuyler IRL. I called him Shoo-ee-ler 'cause of how it's spelled.))
"Use Poison Fang!" Zinnia commanded.
Zyk flinched back from the heat of Sombra's flame, but he heard his beloved trainer's command and quickly recovered himself. He flapped his wings a few times to gain altitude while he gave several rapid squeaks to hone in on his opponent's location. Then, fangs dripping with venom, the tiny zubat dove, ready to sink his fangs in using his favorite attack.

((I read it in a book and called it "Shew-ler" for the longest time. xD))
Sombra watched as the attack just missed Zyk, and braced herself for the next move.
Schuyler gritted her teeth before calling out, "Sombra, Tackle!" She was determined.
Sombra nodded to herself as if Schuyler was right in front of her, and so she watched Zyk come closer to her, waiting to jump out at the opportune moment.
POUNCE!
She rushed into the air! Either this would end in a tackle or her getting bit and poisoned by the Zubat.

Zyk was nearly knocked out of the air entirely by the tepig's attack. He managed to catch himself in time, however, and beat his way madly to regain a safe altitude.
"Use another Poison Fang!" Zinnia called from below.
Zyk swooped again, using echolocation to plant his poisonous bite as accurately as possible, considering his blindness.

((How do I know if the attacks are hitting?))
"Try another Ember attack, Sombra!" Schuyler's obvious concern for her beloved Tepig was becoming... well, obvious. She was leaning on the railing of her podium, watching intensely.
Sombra had landed a decent hit with her tackle, but would she be able to hit Zyk with her fire again? She only hoped that she wouldn't be poisoned or anything.
With a great big inhale, she turned to face Zyk, blowing out fire as she did.

((The only thing you have to pay attention to as far as the numbers go, when rolling a regular six-sided die, is whether the number is a 1 or a 6. A 1 is a miss that does no damage at all. A 6 is a critical hit that does double the base damage. For example, Tackle does a base of 100 damage against Zyk, so if you rolled a 6 while using Tackle, it would be 200 damage. However, Poison Fang does 125 base damage because of the bonus the field gives, and so if I rolled a 6, it would do 250 damage. So, yes, my last attack did a regular 125 damage because I rolled a 4. Numbers 2-5 do base damage. I hope that clears that up!)) Zyk expertly dodged Sombra's attack and waited for Zinnia's command. Creatively, the young trainer shouted, "Poison Fang, again!" ((Your HP should be at 425 before this attack. Defense Curl gives you +50 defense for every attack after you actually perform defense curl. In other words, every attack I make (starting with this one) will have -50 base damage. So, 125 - 50 = 75 base damage, unless I make stat changes of my own!)) "Zyk, use Toxic!" Zinnia commanded. Zyk allowed poison to dew up on his fangs before spitting a globule of the venom in Sombra's direction. ((I wanted to be sure to go over status conditions with you. For every status condition (love, confusion, poison, paralysis, burn, curse, and frozen), you roll two 4-sided dice. The first die determines whether the attack hits or misses. A 1 or a 2 is a miss. A 3 or a 4 is a hit. The second die tells you how many turns the condition lasts, if it hits. Damage, in poison's case, is as follows: 50 damage the first turn, 100 damage the second turn, 150 damage the third turn, and 200 damage the fourth turn. In addition, something I told you earlier was erroneous. Sorry about that! Field bonuses do not, in fact, add to the base damage. They are added on in the end. So if I roll a critical hit, it would do 200 base damage, plus the 25 bonus damage from the field. Here's the official formula: [(Base Damage+ Type Dis/Advantage Bonus + Stat Change Bonus) x 2 if and only if you get a Critical Hit] + FIELD BONUS(] Hope it's not too confusing! Sombra complied, dodging the toxic attack from Zyk and unleashing another fire blast at him.
((Ah, sorry about that! I think I ended up quoting my post so I wouldn't have to keep typing the bottom part and didn't change it. lD;;
So, because the attack missed, would Sombra's HP go down at all? Or is there still a base attack?
And yeah, I'm confused. lD;; Would her HP then be... 500 instead of 425 since the field bonus counts at the end?))

((No problem. And no, the only difference the field bonus error I made was for critical hits, and neither of us have rolled one yet. It's base damage 100 + 25 field advantage = 125 damage. And you are correct; my Toxic attack did no damage because it missed.
However, please make a note of your defense curl by putting +50 DEF at the bottom of your post. I'll make an example at the end of this post.
Oh, I completely missed that you rolled on your turn where you did defense curl. You do not roll on stat changing attacks, unless your pokemon is confused or in love or something.))
"Dodge it, Zyk!" Zinnia shouted.
Zyk swerved to one side as he heard his trainer's voice; he felt the heat of the ember as it flew by, but it did no harm.
"Now use Ominous Wind!" she commanded.
Zyk flapped his wings rapidly; a chilling wind enveloped his body for several seconds, then dissipated.
