Planted in 1971 to disguise an opening of a secret passage to Shrieking Shack, in located Hogsmead the Whomping Willow is a violent tree known to attack anyone and anything that disturbs it's branches. A deciduous plant it's limbs function as arms and if damage they must be treated in such a way.
