My Story Here!

Maverick "Mav" Moriarty

Maverick Moriarty walked into HIS classroom and set his leather-bound briefcase down. He gazed around the room and gave a huff of pride. Opening his suitcase, he took out a foot long sandwich and placed it neatly in one of his drawers. “Desk sandwich,” he said with a grin and closed the drawer, locking it. He turned around and wrote basic info on the whiteboard behind him: his name, his teaching email, office hours etc. He took out a handful of syllabi and placed a copy on each of the desks. Afterwards he gave a small sigh. “I wish they gave me a class list,” he thought. As he took out a rag and polished his rings. He loved how they shone in the light and made sure he always had silver polish in his briefcase.

Kasper Kai

Got a secret, can you keep it?
Swear this one you'll save?

Stunt class was over for Kasper and so now came... Oh? Physics... He was hoping that it was gonna be a fun class... but no, it was Physics. He was sure that whoever put his schedule together just wanted to see him be miserable... Maybe there would be an interesting teacher. Besides, this was a circus school. So he was bound to have some sort of odd-ball of a teacher, he already knew that one of his teachers was. With an unamused sigh, Kasper entered the classroom. There was only a teacher there... Damn it! He came too early... Now he'd just have to wait. He made his way to a desk and sat down, noticing a name on the board. That must've been the teacher's name. Mr. Moriarty, huh? He thought. Then he noticed the paper on his desk. Kasper grabbed the paper and began to read it. As he did so, he leaned back in his chair (So that the chair was only on two legs) and put his feet up on the desk. Sure, he knew that he had horrible posture... but it wasn't like he cared.

You swore you'd never tell.
But, then again... Everybody tells.

Thinking: Tsk... Why do I have to have Physics...?

Side by side, Lilly and Rhylynne walked down the hallway; simply taking a stroll through the school. Why not? It was their school now... They could do whatever they wanted to... The two of them walked in sync, their feet hitting the ground at the exact same time... It was almost eery... Before they walked past the Physics Room, Lilly stopped; Her sister stopping right after she did. "What's the matter?" Rhylynne asked her twin. "Why don't we stop by and say hello? Hm?" Lilly suggested, referring to the two people in the classroom at the moment. One being a teacher and the other a student. The twins knew of the teacher: Maverick Moriarty... The Physics Teacher with a rough past... But they hadn't met the student before. He seemed like an odd one... Then again, this was a circus school.

The Head-Mistresses stepped into the Physics Room, both of them wearing a kind smile. "Hello, Mav." They said in unison, almost as though they had planned it all out before hand. It was funny, being able to call the teacher by their first name... Especially because the twins probably weren't much younger than the student in the room. Then again... there's always the chance that he (Maybe she, the student looked rather feminine) was a vampire or something immortal... (S)He looked like (s)he could've been...

So, here's how it's gonna work: I'm posting as L+R now, then you post, then I'll post as Kasper, then you post again. I'm just gonna rotate between the two... Until one of them exits at least. I may end up combining their posts to make things simpler, but I just don't want each post to end up being too long...

My Story Here!

Maverick "Mav" Moriarty

Mav pouted at the student who was apparently disregarding safety. “Please, no leaning in the chairs,” he said in a curt tone. He pulled out a set of quarter sized marbles from his brief case and rolled them around in his hand. Giving the boy one last stern look he turned his attention to the two women in front of him. “Hallo, guv’nas” he said in a cheery, stereotypical English accent, “Come to learn about physics, eh?” He was partially joking, but he didn’t even know how old his bosses where. He was just grateful that they accepted his application. Then again, he did hope they would attend his class. He felt very silly if all he taught was one person and that one person was already getting to his bad side. He pulled a pocket watch out and glanced at the time. TWO MINUTES! His class started in two minutes and all he had was that one student. He groaned on the inside at the prospect of it all.

Kasper made a 'tsk' sound with his tongue (Wow, that's descriptive... *sarcasm*) after the teacher told him not to lean in the chair. He took his feet off the desk and sat his chair down on all four legs. Kasper raised an eyebrow at the set of marbles that Mr. Moriarty had set out. What the bloody hell did he intend to use those for?! If it was something fun, he'd like to join. But if it was academic, then forget about it. He turned around to see that the two headmistresses were standing right behind him. He said nothing, seeing as they were already in a conversation with the teacher... And the teacher was already flirting. He didn't know whether or not to be disgusted... or impressed. Why disgusted? He did not know. Then again, he didn't know why he should be impressed either. It's too quiet in here... He thought. Kasper hated silence. Why? Because noise quiets the mind... Without noise, his mind would just lose control. And with a mind like his... the poor boy could think himself to death. So, he got out something else to occupy himself: A Deck of Cards. He began to shuffle them for no reason at all; Dealing them out and then putting them back into their original stack. If the teacher yelled at him, so be it. It wasn't like he cared.

You swore you'd never tell.

Head-Mistresses

The two of them giggled at his question. Well, they were young enough to be students here.... But, no, they weren't there to be taught. "I wish I could say that we were here to take your class." "But we were just walking by and saw that you were here." "So we figured that we should stop by and say hello." The twins replied. Oh, there they go... finishing off each other's phrases again. This was the creepy part about Lilly and Rhylynne: how... "together" they were. Always with each other, always finishing each others sentences, always moving together. It was freaky to say the very least. Rhylynne looked at her watch, seeing that his class was about to start. She looked over to the one and only student that he had... Only one? Geez. I knew the school was small but... not this small. Rhylynne thought. She looked to her sister and Lilly looked back at her. Then the two of them looked at Mav with a smile. And said nothing more.

Thinking: He doesn't have many students... Maybe the rest were just late...

Okay! So, I'm combining their posts... this is going to be a lot more difficult than I thought... *sigh*

Oh yeah! So, if you need a "guide" for Lilly and Rhylynne:
The red-bold is Lilly talking and the light purple-italics is Lilly thinking.
The dark purple bold is Rhylynne talking, the light blue italics is Rhy thinking.
The black bold is the both of them, talking in unison.
Confusing, right?

Danielle was lost...Again...She felt like stopping to ask someone which way was up. She giggled to herself "Now wouldn't that spark an interesting conversation..." She said quietly to herself and giggled once more. Danielle turned the corner and walked into the classroom. "Um, excuse me? Is this the Physics classroom with Mr. Moriarty?" She asked looking around. She saw one other student, a teacher and the headmistresses. She bowed to the two ((OOC:When she bows, she bends at the waist, in case you were wondering...)) "Hello Headmistressess. I am Danielle Scarlet, or you can call me Danni for short. It's nice to meet all of you." She said to the four and stood up straight with a cute smile.

Maverick "Mav" Moriarty
“Indeed it is, ducky,” Maverick replied to the young lady who just walked into his classroom. “Well that’s two,” he thought as he moved over to the board. “Sit anywhere ya like.” He cleared his throat and smiled as he began his intro speech. “Welcome to Physics!” he said aloud in case anyone else happened to walk into the classroom. “Today we begin to learn the fundamentals essential to anyone in the Acrobatics and Stunt tracks. I trust you’ll look over the syllabus in your own time, so then let’s begin.” Maverick turned and began to write some equations on the board. “We will be using the book,” he added as he started to write equations on the board, “So you should make that a priority buy. If you cannot afford one there is one at the library that you can review.”

Rhylynne and Lilly turned to the girl who had introduced herself to them with a bow. "Well, it's lovely to meet you Danni." "You don't have to call us by our title though. Lilly and Rhylynne will do just fine." They said to her. Then Rhylynne turned to Mav, seeing that he was already starting class. "Well, we'll leave you to your teaching, Mav." She said as she and Lilly began to walk towards the door. "We'll see you some time soon." Lilly said, walking alongside her sister. The two left in silence after that.

Kasper Kai

Got a secret, can you keep it?
Swear this one you'll save?

Kasper watched as one entered and two left. He looked around at all the empty chairs. Can't we just be let off the hook due to lack of students? He thought. But, alas, that was not the teacher's plan. No, the teacher would much rather teach than do anything else. Kasper quickly put away his deck of cards, putting them in his pocket. Then he watched as Mr. Moriarty put up an equation on the board. Apparently, it was for stunts and such... Did it involve puppets? No. Did it involve Ring leaders? No. Everything was for the acrobats and the stunts-people... Nothing for poor, poor Kasper. Nothing for the Keeper of the Secrets. Well, it wasn't like he had a choice, so he quickly began to write down the equations in his notebook in attempts to solve them. He made a metal-note-to-self to get the book. Kasper was already on the teacher's bad side as far as he was concerned, so he wanted to get the book as quickly as possible before Mr. Moriarty hated him even more... As he kept on writing, equations slowly turned into doodles and scribbles... Doodles of what he wanted his next puppet to look like.

Danielle looked around the room. She didn't want to sit alone, so she sat by the other student. "Do you know how much the books are?" She asked him curiously. "Hello" She said quietly while taking notes. Danielle was courious about this bored looking boy. "Who are you?" She asked quietly. She looked at her notes and attempted solving them once. She figured the answer was wrong, but she didn't care. "I tried it myself and thats all that matters." She thought and looked back at the boy who was now drawing. "Your a Puppet Master? Thats so cool!" Danni whispered quietly, but you could tell that she actuially thought it was cool. "Mr. Moriarty? Can you please take a look at my equation? I'm not sure if I understand it at all..." Danni looked out the window and saw that it was cloudy, and she shivered slightly.

Kasper continued doodling, attempting to solve the equations every once and awhile. Sure, he could solve them, he understood them just fine. It was just that it was troublesome for him to think them through. He'd much prefer to do something else, hence: He doodled. Kasper's pencil soon stopped as a voice was heard to the right of him. A girl's voice, to be more specific. He didn't bother to look at her, nor did he say anything at first. He began to draw again, eventually saying: "Kasper." He whispered back. Kasper was usually a very social person, but there were two things keeping him from doing that: One, the teacher... They were in the third row, after all. Two, he was kind of grumpy at the moment, being in a class that he didn't like very much... Kasper then gave a kind smirk, still not looking up at her, focusing on his drawing. "Thank you." He said, whispering again. He added more detail to the puppet drawing, making it look more realistic and adding shading and such.

This wasn't something Yuuki would usually do. Pop into a class and actually work that was. She didn't exactly Physics, it was one of her worst subjects, but it seemed like the only thing to do at the moment since nothing else was really going on. But this could only keep her attention for so long...

She was busy reading a novel as she walked down the hallway toward the classroom. That seemed to be the only thing she liked to do nowadays. It wasn't until she reached the door of her new class when she stopped, closing the book shut. Using her left hand, she twisted the door knob and pushed the door open.

There were already two others inside. She didn't want to label them as 'humans' or 'demons' or 'nekos' (that one she was surprised to see occupied the grounds also) because she soon figured out that humans were not the only creatures that inhabited this school. You could never be so sure. Not that she cared much. It would matter to her what they were; as long as they didn't bother her. And she could get ticked off easily.

Yuuki remained silent and tucked the hard cover under her armpit before heading into the room. She eventually made it to the back of the room, in the fourth row, and sat in a seat. Her shoulders were hunched as she sat and she wasn't sitting up straight, but that was a human's normal position. Slouched.

One boy in the third had pale, white hair and to her he looked a lot like a ghost. He looks kinda like that ghost Casper from that show. A thought popped into her head to call him Ghost Boy. Nicknames were so juvenile. So, she decided against and shook her head to get rid of the insensitive thought. He probably wouldn't be to keen on her calling him that either. Judging another's looks was not her style. She based her opinion off of actions not appearance. The other girl with the long, brown pigtails was looking out the window. Everything about this place said 'boring' in her eyes. No wonder the kids were just daydreaming and drawing. Yuuki sighed. "That's my cue to start reading. I'm not just going to sit here all morning." She flipped open to where she had left off, she could tell from the little doggy ear on the page, and continued reading.

As she read, she was silently hoping that the teacher would just start going over something. She had to admit even though she didn't have time for school anymore, she was too busy keeping an out for the police in case they caught up to her, but she did miss the learning bit. Even if it was a sucky subject like this. I mean, she had dropped out of her old school and after years on the run she needed somewhere to settle down. At least for awhile since people like her couldn't stay anywhere too long. People might see her, then talk. But, she was pretty sure she had gotten far enough away so that no one would suspect anything. So far there had been no causalities.

Yuuki fidgeted with her piercing, it was beginning to sting. She looked up from her book and wondered if anyone would dare speak to her, if they had the guts since usually her demeanor turned people away. If someone decided to speak to her she would most likely ignore. She was too busy thinking about other things plus the fact she was reading which caused her to tune out from the world around her. Nasty habit really. She came off as quite rude, but that was sort of how she was. Of course if they continued to pester her to speak up, she would eventually have to. Otherwise she'd slip into her crazy mode and go off on them. Then, maybe, apologize later. Unlikely as it is.

My Story Here!

Maverick "Mav" Moriarty

As Maverick was lecturing he gave a casual look up where he had strategically placed a mirror so that he could keep an eye on his students when his back was turned. “SO!” he said loudly as he clacked the marbles that were still in his hands. “You may be wondering; why do I need such a bloody boring subject?” He gave a small grin as he quickly calculated the trajectory in his head. He gently tossed one marble up in the air and caught it in his free hand. He gave a glance to the left and right marking important locations. “First you can do that perfectly! Secondly...” he paused as he flicked both his wrists sending a marble flying out of each. The left hand marble flew towards the window, hit the metal beam connecting the glass planes, richoqueted off, flew towards Kasper, it caught the end of his book and slammed it shut, and finally rebounded off towards Mav. The right marble flew towards the wall and hitting a light switch at the same time the first marble hit the metal beam. This caused all the lights in the room, save the one above Mav, to go out. It then richqueted off and flew towards Yuuki. It hit her book, causing it to close with a slam and rebounded towards Mav. “You can do wondrous tricks like this,” he said as he caught each marble, twirling them around in his hand as he pocketed them. He casually strolled over to Danielle. “That one?” he asked, “Well let me explain it a loud again. If one person doesn’t get it then most likely someone else doesn’t either.” He gave a grin as he mussed up Danielle’s hair and went back to the board and began to go over the material that was asked.

Kasper looked behind him for a second, seeing a girl with many piercing come into the room and sit in the row behind him. Her hair was a nice color... He turned around again to focus on, not the teacher, but his drawing. Paying no mind to the marbles in the teacher's hand. He moved onto the next drawing with a sigh. Sketching, sketching, sketching, sketching and then... What?! The book closed on his hand... No thanks to the marble that the teacher indirectly threw in his direction. Well, isn't that just goddamned dandy... He thought sarcastically. Only a couple of minutes into the class and this teacher was already on Kasper's bad side. Not a side you want to be on. I'd watch his shadow if I were him... The thing with Kasper, is that he had little respect for authority... Seeing as he was--without doubt--older than Mr. Moriarty anyways. Hell, he was most definitely older than everyone in this room... By a lot. But, it wasn't like he could do anything now; Nothing effective, at least. So he just glared at the teacher, crossing his arms. Kasper reopened his notebook and turned to a new page, writing down the rest of the equations and solving them with ease. He hoped he got them right...

That boy, whatever his name was, looked back at him for moment before turning around in his seat again to return to his drawing. She shrugged at his because he made no attempt to converse with her, but she didn't show any signs of her wanting him too either. She lowered her gaze back to her book and continued reading again.

At the front of the room, the teacher started talking loudly as he sat in his chair, his back to them. She heard him playing with marbles up front, but she ignored him. That was...until she saw him practically throw the marbles out of his palms causing them to both go shooting across the room. Her eyes cautiously followed one of the marbles, she didn't want them hitting her on the head. They bounced, flew, and rebounded all around the room and she found herself ducking her head down to avoid being hit by one, even though none did.

Then, a marble came flying toward her book, knocking it out of her, and it slammed shut with a thud. Yuuki frowned and crossed her arms defiantly over her chest. Was this his idea of teaching? "He could of just asked me to close it," she grumbled under her breath.

Her hand dropped to her bag, she had it around her neck, and she took out a blank piece of paper and a black mechanical pencil. Up on the board, there were several equations that had been put up. They were basic enough, she had learned some of them back home, so she scribbled down the equations and solved most of them with ease. Except for a couple which left her puzzled, but she did the best she could. And the best of her was guessing. After she had finished, she tucked her pencil behind her ear. Not the pierced one though, it still hurt after she gotten the newest piercing. She stared at the back of the teacher's head after that, just waiting for him to turn around so he could meet her hardened gaze.
