Things. These things were everywhere. Ako honestly couldn't go more than five paces without seeming to run into another one. Which was why it was more of a defeated sigh when he saw the thing scuttling along the ground awkwardly toward him.

And then as he swung the weapon in a wide arc he caught the thing heavily with it and sent it staggering several paces. Sure, he'd taken a hit, but the thing didn't really stand much of a chance against him, did it?
..ironic considering that time he'd lost to one of these. Nanco heard a familiar clicking and scraping, and ran over to investigate. Another figure was fighting one of the strange creatures she'd encountered earlier. She had to admit, it didn't look like he needed much help. The thing was on its last legs anyway, but she was very intrigued by the weapon he held. Maybe if she helped him fight, he'd tell her how to get one? She ran up, and tried to punch the thing to death, but missed completely. The thing scuttled to the side, and managed to swipe at her with razor sharp claws. Feeling a little sheepish over missing, Nanco sought to make up for the mistake with another roundhouse kick at the creature. Damaged as it was, it could only take the full force of the blow. With a final hiss, it fell into pieces. "Yes!" Nanco cried triumphantly. Perhaps a little too enthusiastic for someone who'd just finished the creeper off. Nanco briefly rummaged through the thing's innards, looking for shinies, before remembering her company and her ulterior motive for coming to the battle.
She bounced over to the figure.
"Wow, you're strong! Is it that weapon? The Goddess told me I needed to get a weapon, and if they do that sort of damage to these things I can see why! How'd you get yours?"

As he was watching the thing try to regain some form of composure from his strike he watched as a girl showed up to take a swing at the thing. Which... well at first she wasn't too successful, but then it fell rather soundly. Which was good.
He paused briefly to pluck up the few items that rolled to his feet before both ears perked at the world. "Ah..." His weapon? He looked briefly to the golden touched lance, then back at it. Then a quick nod. The weapon really helped. Definitely. "Yeh." Though then they were asking how to get one? That was easy. He held up one of the two fragments he'd just gotten an smiled at that point. "Dis. Put gether ahn mix." His speech was a bit slow, but obviously deliberate. It wasn't that he didn't know the words, just that... well they all still felt like sludge when they rolled off his tongue...
But then what kind of sounds did one usually make?Zee Oddwyn Hello~ Also thanks. I wanted two different kinds to try for a blue. XD Didn't get it but I can try again shortly~! Feel free to pop in since all of my threads are 30/30's with Co-op if you need items btw.

Nanco blinked, and looked down at her own little shinies. "These make weapons?" she repeated, mulling the concept around in her head. They certainly seemed like they could be used as weapons, if combined together. But mixing them? In a bowl? How many would it take? Did more shinies mean a stronger weapon? What if she killed lots of these creeper things, and then combined all of the shinies together? A scythe the size of the Spires themselves poofed into Nanco's imagination. She had no idea how she'd hold it, but she wanted it. "Can I help you kill more things?" she asked the boy eagerly. "I'm Nanco, and I want to get lots of these." She held up her recent acquisitions as example. Raja I'll be sure to! I've got my eyes on one of them fancy weapons, and I'll need to amass a number of basic loot!

It seemed like his message had gotten across, since she was looking at them, then more questions. Which earned a few nods. Yes, they definitely made them. Then more confusion.
To which he held up both of his fragments and sort of tried to moosh them together as closely as possible. They weren't compatible so it did nothing, but she'd get the idea right. "Tis... 'hen tis." He motioned to the fragments then his own lance that he had with him. That was about as much explanation as he had. Magic made it happen. He'd left his gold fragments too close and then they became the lance. Not that he regretted it.
Oh, but help was welcome. He smiled at the question, bobbing his head just as eager as she was. "Yeh!" Then a quick pointing to himself. {b]"Ako." He added, obviously explaining who he was.
