My face is reflected in the water...
It's a shining grin full of hope...

I know that there are a lot of new updates that have been announced prior to the release of the sixth generation Pokemon games, Pokemon X and Pokemon Y, but these seem to be amongst the largest.
Of course, there are other changes such as the manner of EV training and the like, but that's not likely to affect anyone who doesn't play the game competitively. Feel free to provide your thoughts in either case, though.
The Fairy Type was the first major leak/spoiler that was released for Pokemon X and Y. It's been getting a good deal of mixed opinion, but that's only expected. I'm sure it'll all settle down once everyone had adjusted, similarly to the other times when new Types were introduced. There have been rumours as to how the Type stands amongst others, but no clarifying data has been made. The most noteable, however, being that it is super effective against Dragon Types, as well as immune to Dragon Type attacks.
The other large information drop, which was announced more recently, is Mega Evolutions. From the information provided, this has been clarified to be achieved through the use of an item, and it appears to take place during battle. The only Pokemon so far to have revealed Mega Evolutions are Absol, Blaziken, Lucario, Kangaskhan, Mawile, Mewtwo, and Ampharos. When undertaking a Mega Evolution, certain changes take place, but they do not apply to all and every Mega Pokemon. These changes include, but are not necessarily limited to: stat increase/decrease and Type change. Aside from these details, no other word has been made.

So, what do we all think of these changes??? X and Y is certainly undertaking drastic and very much different alterations in comparison to generation five, as well as the previous generations.

... Or it could be a look of somber silence struggling with fear...
What do you see reflected in your face???

Personally, I think Pokemon's been ******** up since Black& White. The bullshit they're pulling with this new Pokemon is just making a bad situation worse. Honestly, I love Pokemon, but the new ones are just awful.

Well, I wouldn't say that Pokemon is f***ed up but there certainly has been a drastic change in the overall design of the newer ones. The look rounder, angular, color-blocked, or just random. A lot of the Pokemon in the past are designed based on real animals, but I guess there's only so many species they can draw inspiration from. Can't blame them for running out of ideas, but I do miss the cute designs they used to come out with :/
