Yes. It was like these things knew that he wanted to kill as many of them as possible. The other kinds, okay, whatever, but these ones, specifically, these needed to die, and Vane needed to kill them. The weapon in his hands was becoming more familiar to him every time he used it, and the crack of it striking the thing would have been music to his ears if he had known what music was.

Tiltek saw people gathering around and he also had a new weapon to try out. Suddenly he just came lunging forward, "HIIII YAAA~," and downward swing against the monster's side.
Very impressive, if he did say so himself.

Licraesa knew that face; one of them, and she waved back in return. "Glad to see you again," she said, surprised that it was an honest statement. Her own heart pulsed blue, a staccato among the yellow.
Three new faces, too, came from the fog.
"We left blessings, I only just got mine." The grey woman shifted the spear from one hand to another. "I'm not that used to it yet."
With a sharp thrust, Licraesa jabbed the enemy. "It gets easier, I guess."

He didn't get quite as good of a hit that time, "Hello new friends!" He said in a chipper tone. Then he focused on the one with the inquiry and then toward the one that answered it.
Tiletk gave a short laugh, "What she said! I also just now got mine!"
It was a marvelous thing.

"You left it at the shrine? I'll have to remember that. I picked up one not too long ago, hopefully, it'll help me be of more use to people."
He smirked to himself. As useful as it would be to have a weapon, it wasn't for the sake of others but for himself. With it, he would appear just as useful as them and they could do the fighting. They could be the target of the monsters they run into. But he had to admit that he was jealous that everyone else had one. He was too weak now, he needed their help. He can't do this on his own just yet.
