The wound still hadn't healed. The hospital stitched up the injury, but there was some non-fatal damage to the linings of her organs that would cause pain - but didn't qualify as an emergency to validate a non-insured treatment. Thus, without insurance, Haley Jones was s**t out of luck for getting cured. She was back at home, laying in bed with a few different medications that her parents had tried giving her - all alternative medicines that weren't doing enough to let go of the pain or fix the problem. The problem, at least partially, was all mental - being stabbed and slashed by Painite was a harsh reminder of her previous attack from the Negaverse agents who left her for dead in that fountain two years prior. She had thought she had gotten past that, moved on, but it was just a closed wound ripped open again.

She didn't know what to do next - she couldn't remember just how she got over it, but she remembered her trip to her home planet then as part of that process. Her most recent trip was just a few weeks back, a far better experience than the previous, filled with total euphoria. Perhaps if she could just revisit she could her mind off the pain for just a little while.

That night she powered up to Super Sailor Aster in the privacy of her bedroom, late at night. Focusing hard on the sound of her planet's tone, she channeled herself to the asteroid of Aster...

...another trip, another destination. She appeared in another small hut made of sunflower materials, just like the last trip, only this hut was distanced from the small village she saw the last time. This stood alone in a field of tall sunflowers like her first trip, with a variety of sunflowers nearby. It was also a larger hut, more decadent despite its primitive materials. Although it was largely rotten and disheveled now, a faint memory stirred within her of its former beauty. This wasn't just some hut - this was her old home.

There was a comfortable looking hammock made of woven sunflower petals. She tested it carefully and laid down peacefully in it. It was total bliss - the planet's euphoria was just as strong as ever. She placed her hands onto her stomach, her fingers feeling the scar...the scar...was gone?

She pulled up her bodice to look - there was no pain, and the scar had nearly faded. Already, she felt stronger and healthy in the most unusual way. She smiled with relief as she rested back and shut her eyes drifting off into a soft nap, getting her first peaceful sleep since the attack.

When she awoke, she looked out of the hut and felt drawn to a small patch of the sunflowers.

"They're magic," her former self had said in a hazy memory. Elderly and sickly tourists and immigrants had arrived to the planet and he was welcoming them to their new home. "You'll be safe here, the sunflowers and the Sun will protect you."

That was it - the flowers! The soft warm glow to them entranced her - they were the cause of this planet's wonders. There was such good that they could do for the world, for the terrible war on Earth. If only they could be brought home...

Carefully, the Super Senshi of Sunflowers pulled a short flower from the ground and smelled its sweet and calming scent. She had a gift to bring back to Earth, something that can do actual good for the world. She just needed to hope that it would work.

Determined, Super Sailor Aster focused on her return home to Earth and reappeared in her bedroom. It was mid-afternoon back on Earth, and as soon as she reappeared she heard the urgent voices of her parents. Quickly, she powered down to her civilian form as her parents charged into the room, relieved to find their daughter home.

As it turned out, what Haley had thought to be just hours under the euphoric effects on her planet had been two days on Earth. She'd have to be more careful the next time she returned, but as for now, she brought a little piece of Aster to Earth.
