(( Uh. Yes, PRP, private RP. Yeah. Dun post 'less yer me or Amon. D: *bricked* In the jungle. XD ))

Where the heck was the cub, anyways? She'd caught a dikdik, and was now looking for a cub, not really her cub, though. It was a lion cub, wich, obviously, meant it coulden't be the dark female's, she was a leopard, sense when did they have lion cubs? Never. She'd found the cub once, he wasen't anoying, so she didn't kill him, besides, he was probably too much of a whimp to be a threat anyways. He also knew how to be quiet when he needed to, and best, he knew how to climb. Thats not something you find in a normal lion, oh no. Perhaps he could a bit because he was a cub, maybe he'd loose the ability as he got larger and heavier. But either way, he was the only non leopard or cheetah creature she didn't mind.

Karama yawns, sitting at the base of one of the many trees, leaving her kill by her paws. She wasen't particularly hungry, but killing and not eating was rong. Shhe looks around, ears twiching as the sounds of birds chattering caught into them, this place was so.. noisy. Especially if you had a kill. At least vultures weren't likely here.

(( Crappy! xD ))

While leopards were certainly capable of taking down larger prey, Keone was currently hunting small prey, searching the jungle floor for a stray rodent. The leopard froze in his tracks, ears flicking, nose twitching, he had caught the scent of something; it was...blood...and another leopard?

Cautiously, moving as silently as he could, he walked on, following the scent. His white coat wasn't the best cameoflauge against the green of the jungle, but he blended in better than one might think. It wasn't long before he caught sight of the larger leopardess and her kill. She was probably older, bigger, and stronger than him. It would be foolish to challenge her, but perhaps he could wait here and scavenge some of her kill when she was finished.

The adolescent yawns, she dosen't seem at all interested in her kill, it'd been intended for Tatu. Even though she prefers eating in trees, she finds its no need now, lions preferred savvanahs, cheetahs likewise, and hyena's were downright stupid. Wild dogs, anoying, but she could take them down. She looks around, before crouching on her stomach to lazily tug on the small antelope's leg, might as well eat it. Orange eyes scan the area after she succeeds pulling the leg out, and she notices something, not as easy as it would be, but she does.

There was a small tip of white there, wasen't it? Odd, certainly there were no clouds down here. "I saw you, might as well stop hiding. " She snorts, if it'd been a lion or hyena, it'd definatly not be hiding like that. Probably something less harmfull, like a cheetah or a wild dog.. or something.

"I wasn't hidding...I just didn't want to bother you."

Keone sat back on his haunces, emerald green eyes focused on the leopardess, watching her. She seemed relaxed despite the intact kill beside her, but why wasn't she eating it? Was she waiting for someone else, maybe there was another leopard nearby? He shrank back a bit at the thought, that was the last thing he needed. But the...why wasn't she guarding it instead of just laying there?

Ah, at least it was a leopard, not anything anoying. She could just throw the dikdik at him, then. She grabs the rest of the antelopes body, before swinging her head and releasing it in the white male's direction, she'd just keep the leg, it was all she needed. Of course, a whole carcass, even that small, woulden't go all the distance, and landed a few paws away from the male. "Keep it if ya like, didn't catch it for me, but coulden't find who it was for. " Its seems rather simple, Karama dosen't bother to speak too much, especially if someone showed up while she was eating, it did mean they wanted the meal, no? Its unlikely that after smelling blood, someone would just show up for a visit.

His first instinct was to pounce on the beast, drag it off, and devour it. But that would have been rude and maybe even dangerous.

He took a few steps forward, green eyes fixed on the leopardess, watching for any sign of movement; his ears flicking, searching for any sound that might betray another lurking nearby.

"R..really? You'd share it with me?"

"Yeah, not really hungry. "

As most of her answers, its simple. "I'm Karama, your name is? " Like there's anything else to say, before starting to gnaw on thethin leg, there was more meat at the top, but she was used to starting small. It isn't long that above the hoof there isn't skin anymore, only a few scraps stuck between thin bones witch Karama wasen't in the mood to break. Now she just needed to finish the meat left at the top, simple task, the male could get the rest.

"Thanks! My name's Keone."

The small leopard smiled before he cautiously lowered his head and took a bite from the midsection of the fallen creature. He was hungry, but still had the good manners and sense to eat cautiously, keeping the blood limited to his maw, rather than letting it spill all over him. It wasn't that he was obssessed with being clean, he just didn't want to be a slob in front of a lady who had been so nice to him.

If the leopardess had chosen to keep her kill, her muzzle would probably be all red, blending in with her brown fur, it probably woulden't be noticable that it had once been white. At least she knew how to keep it clean, carrying blood over your body was not a good idea. It wasen't long before she'd finished, legs didn't have too much meat in them.

"How'd you end up here, Keone? "

He didn't seem like most leopards she'd seen eat, he seemed rather polite, different from those slops that usually showed up. Well, not that she was so different, but mainly it was because she didn't like keeping a kill for too long, lured too many, and you'd never finish a meal quickly if you were too carefull about not getting dirty.

Speaking of wich, she started to lick her maw, getting rid of the blood that her tongue could reach, and sense she haden't had the need to stick her nose in too deep, that was all she needed to do, there wasen't any blood passing reach.

So long as he remembered he'd been in the jungle, prefering to live in the shelter of green than on the open plains. He didn't even remember his parents, did he have parents?

Sitting back, he chewed on the meat thoughtfully before swallowing.

"I guess...I just like the jungle. I was searching for mice when I met you."

Small pink tounge darted past his dark lips to lick his muzzle before he lowered his head again to take another bite of the prey, chewing each bite before swallowing.

"The jungle is a good place to be, but there isn't much prey 'round here. " Karama looks arond, this was a good place for a leopard to hide, so many trees. Pity that most of the prey also had good hideouts, and they were'n to big, either.

"It'd probably been best if my mothers first choice for a home was here, less lions. "

She muses, her tail swishes, an ear flicking back, her expression growing blank. She remembers it perfectly, finding her father dead, right at the den's entrance, and soon after, her mother chasing them away, only to be killed by hyenas. "They were jsut fools. " She mutteers, with a small snort. She still wondered about the where about of her two brothers, had they too escaped the hyenas that day?

He looked up at the leopardess and blinked, a bit confused. To him, there was plenty of prey in the jungle, it was filled with mice, rabbits, and other small rodents. True there wasn't much big game, but Keone wasn't really interested in hunting those.

"You think so? I always thought there was enough to eat here."

Truth is, no one had ever taught the young leopard how to hunt. Since cubhood he had survived off small prey, perhaps he had just grown to live that way. He had actually come to prefer the taste of small prey, it wasn't quite as tough as the larger more musclar animals.

"Lions? Are they bad?"

He tilted his head curiously, tail flicking behind him. Oh he knew what a lion was, but he'd really only seen them from a distance when he wandered near the edge of the jungle or when the occational rouge wandered in. He hadn't really had any other experiences with the larger cats.

She nods slowly, as if still thinking. "To cut it short, killed my father and made my mom go insane in the process. " She snorts.

"We hid in a hole, she stayed out, and then the hyenas came and stopped her suffering. " By we, she obviously meant her brothers. Though, it might not be obvious to him, she haden't really said who was the 'we'.

"Cheetah are toleratable, wild dogs are a little annoying, in their own way. Hyenas are just as bad as lions, but they are shameless, sometimes follow you when your hutning. " She'd been followed by a hyena before, but, sense it was young, it haden't been too hard to scare off. After that, she haden't really hunted if a hyena was present, she'd just climb up a tree and wait for it to get bored.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. The bitterness of the leopardess was completely lost on Keone. To the naive leopard, she seemed very wise and experienced. He'd had no idea lions and hyenas were so dangerous.

"That's...terrible."

It probably wasn't the best thing to say, but he didn't know that, and besides it was all he could think of. He had no similar experience to help him understand. All he remembered was being in the jungle, he knew nothing of his past, who his parents were, or where he had come from. That's not to say he had grown unhappy, far from it in fact. He had lived his life free and content, he had no idea what such a tradegy was like. He hadn't even realized such a thing could happen.

"Its actually better that way. "

She gives a sound in the mix of a snort and sigh. "If she was capable of killing us, it was actually best to not be raised by her. " She lies down, tretching her paws infont of her, and lying her chin on her left arm. "And if my father was foolish enough to hang his prey too low on the tree, I'd have ended up doing the same. "

She didn't grieve the loss of her parents, though. Her father, maybe, but she only really missed her two brothers. It was rather odd to see Karama just talking like this, but this male was far from anoying or arrogant, so it was easier to talk out. "How about you? What happened to yours? "
