Stew was so familiar with this particular brand of creature that he was able to sneak up on it with relative ease, shooting at the back of what he thought of as its head before it had noticed him at all. He darted back into the fog as it spun in place, marveling at his own relative speed. The constant questions that had plagued his mind were silenced by the hunger he felt for battle, and when he was alone, he could recognize that he hadn't yet decided if that was beneficial or not.

When he was fighting, he didn't care.

Stew could hear the thing getting closer, dragging one of its feet behind it and groaning slightly with every scrape. He raised his gun, aimed, and pulled the trigger. Nothing happened.

"s**t," he muttered, shaking the weapon and trying once more. The processor turned, tilting its screen as if it was sniffing the air. All at once, it rushed toward him, seeming to forget its injuries. Stew fell backward as it struck him, holding the gun up and shooting it for the last time. The creature pulled back, spindly arms hiding its screen just long enough for Stew to slip back into the fog.

He fully emerged from the fog then, approaching the processor with a wide grin. These things were nothing now. So weak. He was going to obliterate them all.

Stew finished it off with another show to the back of its head.
