There was another who took the time to wander and explore the darker areas of his current "home". Given more substantial shape now, Nifen seemed to move with more purpose and confidence in his step. His form was now more clearly masculine, with a much stronger sense of apparel covering his frame. A long open jacket that hung low, though its edges were as yet undefined. A button up shirt, gloved hands, booted feet though in the fog it was difficult to even know.

He sensed the presence of another before he actually saw her, the blue of her core practically calling to his own.

He veered towards the cores source with barely a thought, gliding through the fog on steadier legs, the blue glow a beacon for him to follow. As he approached, he opened his mouth for greeting, the first words he would speak to anyone, when eyes instead landed beyond the other, and on the robotic like creature that approached.

"W-what is it?" His voice was light, hushed and slightly unsure. The words came, though he didn't know how he knew or understood what to say.

"Is it.....safe?"

Not safe?

Not good.

Nifen did not quite know how to react to this situation. He didn't appear to have any latent natural fighting abilities that reared up out of nowhere in the face of a hostile encounter. He had no weapon, which was simply a word that sprung to mind right at that exact moment, a tool with which to do battle.

But niether, it appeared, did she, and she was willingly enough throwing herself at the creepy creature without too much hesitation or pause.

"I....am not sure." He frowned with his newly shaped face. "We might not have a choice, though."

And so he joined her, stepping forward to do what he could to drive the thing back and away. With a wordless shout as though he might be able to startle it, he jumped forward and lifted his booted foot in a kick, his jacket flaring yet still fading to nothing more then mist behind him.

"A weapon might be nice." He scowled now, hopping on one foot as pain had shot up his other at the blow.

He then continued his weak assault, trying to look as though he was toying with the enemy more than he was failing to really get a hit in.

He was trying, folks. You could see it in his gray eyes.

"Oh, er, never gave my name. I'm Lance," he said congenially as he tried to bounce on his feet.

And then Lance flopped and Medi got tired of rolling before 3am.

"This thing's a little tougher than it looks, huh . . . ?"

Wow, he couldn't hunt and he couldn't fight. What was he even good for??

This situation seemed fairly dire, considering he really had no idea what he was dealing with, or more importantly, how to deal with it. The new comers arrival did add a bit of relief to the situation, as with growing numbers surely their safety would increase!

"Nifen." Was his reply to the one who asked. No, not just a one anymore, but a somebody with a name now. Annabell, and the other, Lance.

He felt his own mouth turn up into a....what was it? A smile? That sounded about right, he thought.

"Ok ok, we got this." He huffed, before getting closer to the thing and slapping at it with his hand.
