The beeping was more than frustrating, grating on his nerves within the first few seconds. He could feel more than see somebody else as they drew close to the thing, and that was enough of a push to decide that he should probably help them--after all, if this was going to be finished quickly and safely, it would do better to have multiple...people attacking, would it not?

Sharps cried out, feeling a sharp sting as the boss's arm connected hard with her left shoulder. She snarled, revealing pointed canines. She lashed out again the the boss, feeling her claws glance off of it's skin. This enemy was proving to be a bit of a hassle, if the sounds made by his fellow assailant were any indication. Imuiel moved in close again, movements sedate and calculated until he struck again. They just had to keep hitting it, and hopefully, it would--run away or something. Imuiel hadn't yet considered that death was a possibility, and while he would likely enjoy having data on it, it was just as probable that he wouldn't enjoy causing it.OOC Name of character: Imuiel. Sharps went for another claw attack when she was struck across the jaw by the creature. She fell back, landing hard on the ground and wiped a small trail of blood from the corner of her mouth. His next attack didn't have the same punch behind it, the shape having misjudged the distance yet again between himself and his target. He muttered something under his breath, more of a low snarl than anything at this point, retreating to a position near Sharps.

When he slashed at the beast again, he felt it connect in a far more solid way, the damage dealt worth what he'd taken. It seemed as if they were getting close to actually driving their mutual enemy off, though it would still take a few more hits--no matter. While Imuiel was starting to feel a bit...unpleasant, he had no doubt that they could outlast their opponent. It would only take patience and a bit of luck.OOC Name of character: Imuiel. Imuiel hadn't been anticipating a hit to his side in response to his attempt at an onslaught, and it launched the lanky shape a few feet away, letting out a sharp hiss of pain as he assessed his injuries. Pain--no, pain was not good. He did not like this, not at all. His vision swam, and he felt as if he was drawing nearer to that calm void instead of solid existence. He didn't find it terribly surprising that he missed when he attacked, and for a moment after the resulting pain from the creature's retaliation, everything abruptly stopped. Imuiel felt himself falling, and darkness rushed in to claim him once more--
And then everything was bright again.
He paused, blinking at the ground as he dragged himself to his feet a second time. He felt...better. His impromptu companion had fallen, but he felt no worry yet. Another swipe, and another miss. His enemy seemed to have far better luck actually landing any hits, with each response to Imuiel's assaults earning a solid note of discord as the pain rang out in his mind. Why was he doing this again? This was an experiment, yes, but the results were going awry, and he had very little desire to see who would come out on top at this point. Imuiel's efforts finally paid off, with his next strike landing a moderate blow to the creature. It was on its last legs, he could tell, but then again, it wasn't the only one. Breathing heavily, the tall shape pressed a hand to the site of the most recent injury, hissing at the sharp increase in pain. New note, do not touch where it hurts.OOC Name of character: Imuiel.
