He rubbed his hand gently on the chittenous section of Redline's back more or less where a gas tank would have been and listening to the insect like Youma churr cheerfully. The sound wasn't exactly like a motor, but Redline wasn't exactly like a motorcycle.

Thin, exploring tendrils reached out from the youma, exploring in the general direction of the diminutive, but powerful presence walking toward them, then, much more quickly, whipped back up inside the protective shell with a chirpy nervous sound.

Out ahead and down below, car headlights raced, white, white-blue, or red through the darkness down the highway, and he couldn't help but think...

"The amount of damage I could do in five minutes..." He noted, almost conversationally, clinking a couple caltrops together in his off hand. "I'd bet you a hundred bucks and a steak dinner I could make at least five cars go off the road if I went down there right this minute. At. Least."

But apparently that wasn't in the cards. Not right now. Not these days. Nope, it was all Ossumlite and microphones and even, bleached smiles. Minimal energy draining.

He was about ready to give his left arm for a good fight.

“How about you focus that energy on eliminating the senshi threat from this City?”
He stepped into view, his own Youma was safely tucked away in the Rift, He wouldn’t likely need ‘Locke’ for a fight, if he did… the Youma would probably die at the hands of a senshi Royal anyhow, and the best he’d be able to hope for was a quick extraction.

“Been a while, how do you like working for Spec Ops, it seems like it’d suit you very well.” He nodded and stepped forward, coat sweeping about his ankles as he reached out to touch the Youma that Realgar sat astride of.

“Nothing stopping you from fighting senshi rather than joining them in a little ‘terrorizing the populous without purpose.”

"I'll be happy to handle them when I run into them." He growled, scowling at the lights as though they offended him with their indifference, their lack of awareness of his presence.

"I guess it suits. Lots of training, camping trip..." He twirled his finger at the last bit. Supposed to be bonding. Yay. Bonding. He didn't feel bonded. It was as much his own fault as anyone's and he knew it, but he still didn't feel like he knew most of the Spec Ops team. Maybe he didn't care. He had Redline, Redline gave a damn... kind of. Redline gave a damn that he got to go fast, and be outside the rift from time to time.

"Suits as much as anything suits."

Which was to say, not very well. He still kept returning to feeling discontent, or working too hard. He'd thrown his back out a couple weeks back trying to push the SpecOp training regime, and been stuck healing and being especially angry at the universe. Maybe that was why he was fantasizing about sharing a moment of speed and terror with Destiny City. He debated sharing that with Zinkenite, but he'd probably get scolded for that too.

He tipped his head thoughtful. “Well, since we’ve just had a recent, ruckus at the carnival you can expect I think a good deal more senshi activity. But you could always do a little freelance work if you were feeling bored?” He waved his hand and gave a small shrug.

“We’re not only looking for information on Senshi, we’re interested in the Dark Moon Court as well. They are, after all Chaos like us, but they are are, different.” He nodded.

“I’m sure you could both, spar, and make some interesting ties to them. Many people refuse to associate with them because they remember only what happened while they were Order, but there is more to that to the world. There are… other associations, ties to be made, things that go beyond suits and ties.”

He flashed a wide grin under the black fabric of his mask and then it vanished again like a shadow.

“…Even Spec Ops can use information, and I could use any information you could add to my database.”

"Different is a nice way to put it." The thin smile broke into a grin, like cracks in ice opening to cold water. "Requiem was definitely something else."

He was never going to forget the time she and Zink had tag teamed that obnoxious senshi. It was beautiful.

"So, I wasn't there for most of the s**t they pulled before they switched sides, which means I don't have the baggage, so maybe I can get a little bit out of them?" He offered his amateur dissection of the situation.

"Sounds more interesting than playing boy scouts anyway."

“Suggestion, be legitimate, find someone who legitimately interests you, since they are Chaos, it might as well be for more reasons than my…selfish suggestion.”
He rubbed the back of his neck and closed his eyes, sighing softly at the ache at the back of his skull.

“Don’t forget, you can also utilize our own people for sparring, the fact you’re skilled at fighting makes you an excellent resource to us, train those who don’t fight well already, make sure they can at least defend themselves. Better yet, consider giving driving lessons…” He grinned again and it was gone.

"Oh god. Driving lessons?" He clapped a hand to his chest and staggered in the throws of a theatrical heart attack, sitting down against Redline's side, causing the youma to make curious, anxious noises. It was considerably less powerful than the GK, and Zinkenite made Redline want to use the flight part of flight or fight.

"Shop class isn't painful enough?" He asked, only half joking. "I'm sure I -can- but damn, if you want to cause vehicular chaos that much let me go out there with my Caltrops. Get the whole mess over with faster."

He teased. With some of the other higher ranked officers, never, but it was slightly different with your corrupting officer, and one who had been in your classroom. Especially so having let them out of their locker a few times. There were a damned lot of kids out there who had no idea that they'd locked a force more dangerous than a T-rex on steroids in his locker.

Zinkenite laughed quietly. “Don’t think of it as punishment, think of it as teaching and finding your own elite team of street racing senshi fighters. The limitations are only what you make them.”

“Shop class is painful, but it’s not forever.” He shrugged, a small roll of his shoulders and a tip of his head.
“Not even if its your job, I mean… lets face it, you never know when new opportunities are going to present themselves, or where you’ll find a ally.”

"True, true." He sighed, grimaced, and looked thoughtful. Opportunities. If he survived he might make general, but General didn't pay the bills, and while shop class and working at the shop did, they were sort of pieces of things. One was exciting but didn't pay, one was boring but did.

And the idea of having a micro team of racers was kind of cool. Teleporting took energy, and not everyone could do it, so being able to beat a get away faster than even a Senshi could match wasn't a bad idea. Also just a good skill to have, even if he was sort of cringing at trying to walk a bunch of kids through 'this is the gas, this is the brake'.

"Not a half bad idea." He noted.

“Thought you might enjoy that one, why don’t you keep me posted on what Agents of Chaos you choose for your team, though despite the fact we serve ‘Chaos’, I think I’m just going to point out that ‘Sons of Anarchy’ is taken as a team name.”

He flashed a quick smile that for once reached his eyes.

“I look forward to seeing your reports.” He nodded, “But I should go, I do rather tend to make a obvious target, see you again soon Captain.”

"Duly noted sir, and thank you." He grinned that cracked ice smile again, though this time it had thawed just a bit.
"I'm sure we'll find something good if the whole street racer thing gets off the ground."
