When Leto slipped back into her apartment after her meeting with Laurelite, she wasn't sure if she wanted to scream and hit things or sob uncontrollably. Or maybe all of the things at the same time. She quickly powered down and stared at her civilian reflection in the mirror. Was this her fault? Is there something she could have done? Her hands balled to fists at her side and she stomped to her bedroom to quickly change, brush out her hair, and grab her car keys. Her dear friend Zac owed her an explanation. Muttering and grumbling under her breath the entire time, she stormed out of her apartment, slamming the door behind her, and drove over to Zac's apartment building. When she finally arrived, she banged on his door with a fist- it wasn't often that Quinn showed up anywhere without Mirrorwalking, but she just didn't want to be Leto right now. "ZAC OPEN UP!" She yelled through the door, banging on it several more times before crossing her arms over her chest and waiting.

The banging was a surprise, at least until he heard the voice attached to it, then he just winced, a full-fledged grimace. He knew what it was likely to pertain to, stuffing sheets of music, and handfuls of notes into a desk drawer he shoved his pens with a surprisingly haphazard gesture into a corner of the rough writing desk and answered the door. “Should I put some tea on or were you planning on punching me for what I suspect you just heard first?” He opened the door anyhow though before she put any dents in it with her knuckles. “Come in…let’s talk.” He said with a hope to soothe her at least somewhat. “Have a seat, make yourself at home.”

With a huff, Quinn punched Zac in the arm and stormed past him into his apartment. "What the ********, Zac!?" Her voice was loud and high-pitched. "You knew, didn't you? Before she even said anything to me. You knew! ******** you and ******** your tea," she moved past him and walked to his couch. There were tears in her eyes and she wasn't entirely sure if it was blind rage or if she was heartbroken. "Not even a head's up..." Her voice was quiet now. She looked up at him, sadness clear on her face. "Kess knew too, didn't she? And Ever? Lena?" She swallowed hard. "All of you? We're friends, I trusted you guys. You know where I live!" She shrieked at him. "Are you going to teleport into my place and kill me in my sleep because we're not allies anymore!? What am I supposed to do now?" Quinn was panicking, that much was obvious.

“I learned, rather recently. “He said and rubbed at his arm with a small scowl. “Ever doesn’t know yet that I am aware, we haven’t had a meeting with the general officers, and this is –hardly- my choice.” He snorted. “Quinn, SIT.” He pointed to the couch. “Sit…and –think- for a moment.” He grabbed the nearest thing he could to occupy her hands, and hopefully her temper, while no one in their right mind could truly enjoy the so called ‘vodka’ that Ever brought home, you couldn’t argue its effectiveness in ‘taking the edge off’ the world. You just had to get past the fact it smelled a bit like paint thinner. “You know…where –I- live, I haven’t LEFT yet, you know who I –sleep- with, and there is a mirror big enough for you to walk through in my BATHROOM. The fact that the original alliance between our people has been called off does not mean I am your –enemy suddenly.” He thrust the drink at her, and if she had not already taken a seat he pointed once more at the couch. “We are all, Chaos, now sit… drink… and breathe.”

Quinn choked back a sob and sat down, rubbing at her eyes and taking a deep breath. Her hands clutched at the drink that Zac forced into her hands as she sunk back into the couch. Exhaling slowly, she chugged back far more of the Vodka than she probably should have. As the warm liquid settled first in her chest then in her belly, Quinn cringed and made a face. "You're a General King. Even if I did mirrorwalk in here you'd be able to take me out, especially if Ever was home as well. You know who I sleep with too! I live with two other Dark Mirror Senshi and one of your Guardian Cats lives with us! She could tell you when I'm home and... And..." A tear slid down her cheek and she swallowed back another large swig of Vodka. This weird, crying, mess of a girl was not Quinn- not the Quinn that Zac knew. Not the Quinn that most people knew, to be honest. "You could shatter that mirror or remove it any time you pleased. I can't stop any of you from getting into my apartment. It's different... What if you're ordered to kill me? There's no alliance to stop it from happening, you know that's true." She pulled her knees up to her chest and glared at him. "I can't believe you didn't tell me. I am so mad at you right now." Deep down Quinn knew that orders were orders and that it was very likely that Zinkenite couldn't tell her- she knew if it had been the other way around, no one in her Court would've lived if they spilled the beans. But it didn't stop her feelings from being hurt nevertheless.

“Quinn.” He said and crouched down in front of the couch so that he could look –up- at her. “… Quinn… I am not going to kill you. I realize I can’t speak for anyone else, but as Duty minded as Howlite is, do you really see her doing it either? Think, honestly…THINK.” He waved his hand.
“Right… just.”… He stood and walked away for a moment, returning seconds later and twisting something off a metal ring and handed it to her.
“There… and please for the LOVE of god don’t just rant that I could change the locks or I swear to –GOD- I will surrender to my lack of sleep and slap you upside the head.”
He held the key almost under her nose. “I am not… a fighter, nor am I a wind-up instrument ‘jack of trades’ like Laurelite. They couldn’t send me to tell you, or to soften this because I would have questioned it.”
He grimaced and started to reach for her and then back, a stutter steps with his hands. “…God, please stop crying, I really don’t… would you stop crying?”

With a few shaky breaths and another drink of vodka, Quinn was finally able to look Zac in the eyes when he crouched in front of her and held a key under her nose. She blinked a few times to register what exactly he was doing- an act of pure, complete trust. She took the key and nodded slowly. "Okay..." She couldn't help but crack a smile at how horribly uncomfortable he was with the fact that she was crying. An eyebrow raised as she watched him, his hand reaching out and pulling back repeatedly. In fact, Quinn actually laughed at him. "You're ridiculous. I'm sorry. I just... Without Ares and the Wraiths acting up and now this, I feel a little lost. I'm supposed to lead these people and even with my Vice Captain, it's ******** hard. I have to protect these people. I don't know how White Mooners do it- this war without a leader thing. I miss Ares." She chewed her bottom lip for a moment, then added, "And I guess I just needed to know that you still have my back." With a quick and fluid movement, Quinn snatched up the bottle of Vodka and drank it straight from the source before tipping the bottle towards Zac. "Drink?" She grinned at him.

“I have faith in you.” He said firmly. “I know faith only goes so far, but even with Ares missing, remember, unity goes further than strait power more often than not.” He started to reach for her cheek again and stopped, looking uncomfortable and then found a tissue to offer her. “White moon has a thousand leaders, they are divided…. Even alliances wouldn’t help them I don’t believe.” He shook his head. “Look.” He said and sat down on the ground, holding up his hand, the side of it covered in a web of thin white lines. “…See that?” He twisted it slightly so he could see it, a reminder of his own frustrations, the last time before this where he’d felt strangely powerless. “We have all felt powerless in our time, just don’t let it get the better of you.” He pursed his lips looking at the bottle and then tipped his chin up slightly, thinking. “…Well, hardy fair to let you suffer alone.” He took the bottle and tipped it back for a drink. “Christ…” He hissed, pressing a hand to the dip between his collarbones. “…Paint thinner under another name I swear.”

"I'm glad someone has faith in me," she muttered. "Thanks Zac." She hesitated for a minute, then added with a grin, "If you tell anyone I ******** cried I'll kick your a**." Leaning in, Quinn gave him a big ol' kiss on the cheek, then watched as he drank and cringed. "Is Ever gonna be pissed that I drank all his Vodka?" She winked at him, his actions making it very obvious that this wasn't his drink of choice. Taking the bottle from him, she took another long drink before passing it back. Apparently she was going home drunk tonight.

“So long as I restock I am sure he won’t mind,” Zac shook his head, shifting slightly like he wasn’t at all sure to do with surprise cheek kisses, but just as happy she wasn’t currently crying. He turned a light shade of pink and held up a hand that he was going to add to what he was doing. “I’m putting tea on, don’t panic.” He said in his best ‘soothing’ tone. “I’m sure, honestly, that Howlite has faith in you too, while she may generally follow orders, this one was, well, hmmm.” He shook his head slightly and did not continue. “Felt more white moon than us, but there is nothing I can do save to be patient.” He returned with hot cups of tea and set one before her before taking a seat of his own. “So, yes, thank you for… for not crying any longer. I’m happy to not mention the tears so long as we don’t continue them.”

Quinn waved a dismissive hand in the air at the mention of more tears. "Won't happen again, Scout's honor!" She grinned before sipping her tea and taking a deep breath to compose herself. As long as Zinkenite and Howlite had her back, she had nothing to be worried about- at least that's what she was trying to convince herself of at that particular point in time. Shots -- or long swigs -- of Vodka and a cup of tea was a strange mix. But whatever, the fact was that she was starting to feel a little bit better about the alliance. So Zac's own version of comforting her had obviously worked. "I hope things work out. Hopefully everyone can just sort of... Stay out of each others' way."

“Ultimately.” He said and then hesitated. “Ultimately, I’d consider it a test of character, those of us who hold a greater faith in each other, in being united by Chaos as a whole, will stand stronger beside each other than perhaps we ever might have, were the truce to have been left untouched. I really think, we will all be stronger for it.” He nodded. Such a show of faith in…well, humanity was highly unusual for him, more often than not he believed primarily in human failings, but there was something about the Negaverse, its structure, the people he drew close to him, consciously or not… that gave him some small fragment of hope. Leto, Quinn, was one of those people who would be hard pressed to loose him as a friend, and an ally.

As Quinn listened to Zac, she finished her cup of tea and pulled him into a big ol' hug. "Thanks Zac," she slurred with a grin and a hiccup. Standing up finally, she put a hand on his shoulder to steady herself. "You're a good friend, I'm lucky to have you on my side!" Her entire body swayed and she burst out in a fit of giggles.
"I need to go home," she snickered and sloppily brushed her hair away from her eyes. "I'm gonna leave my car here, I'll come get it tomorrow!" She bent down to kiss him on the cheek and stumbled her way over to his front door- completely forgeting that she could power up and mirrorwalk home. "NIGHT LOVEEEE~" she called in a sing-song tone as she pulled her cellphone out of her pocket to call herself a cab.
