Lt. Teallite was out patrolling again, still very new, and fairly uncomfortable with her super power life. Considering she didn't actually HAVE any superpowers that she was aware of yet, aside from being a little stronger and a little faster. Just a teddy bear. A squeaky teddy bear.
She strolled the shopping district this time... Her last excursion had been to the forest near the higher end shopping plaza, and she had run into a senshi there... the whole experience was emberassing. A complete testament to how little she knew about what she was doing.... but then at the same time, it was a testament to how little that particular senshi knew as well. So it was probably equally emberassing for her.
And worse, a General had seen it. It was like failing in front of your manager. Just not good. She shook her head, embarrassed by her failure, and swore she would do better this time. She held her "weapon" by one of its furry little arms, letting it trail beside her. Her heels clicked loudly on the pavement... and she almost missed the sound of shouting. Tilting her head she paused and listened for a moment. Indeed, shouting, angry shouting. Frowning slightly she headed in that direction. Maybe another senshi?

Well, this was not how Aluminite had expected his first solo venture in energy gathering to go. In fact, it was the exact opposite of what he had anticipated. He was wide-eyed and bewildered as the civilian he had attempted (poorly) to drain turned on him, screaming obscenities at him.
Suddenly he found himself slamming against a building's wall, with an arm pressed up against his neck. "I don't know what the hell you were doing buddy," the man snarled putting more pressure on his neck. "But you were awful handsy and I don't appreciate that." The pressure lessened and Aluminite found that he could breath again.
"I didn't--" he started, faltering when he failed to quickly come up with some excuse. He hadn't meant to be handsy with the guy, but he didn't know any other way besides physical contact to drain energy. He hadn't meant to be dragged out of the bar and be thrown against a wall.
Yeah, things weren't really going his way so far.
How did he get roped into this business again?
He swallowed, praying the guy wouldn't mistake his hesitation as something else. "I didn't mean it! Really, it was a slip of the hand, had too many drinks!" He tried, to no avail. "Loss of inhibition and what not!" He pleaded only to be grabbed by the shirt of his cloak, spun around and then thrown into the other wall of the alley.
"Don't seem that drunk to me bud," the man countered, lowering his arms so that the balls of Aluminite's feet touched the ground again. (Why did he pick a tough guy as his first target?) He pulled an arm back, hand balled into a fist and launched right at the poor boy's face.
So the lieutenant did the only thing he could think of; shoot a hand out and try and block the oncoming fist. Imagine both of their surprise when Aluminite stopped the guy's fist inches from his face. There was no strain of muscles as the negaverse agent held the fist there.
"Yeah," Aluminite said slowly, pushing the guy back. "I'm gonna need to to back off." Almost getting the s**t beaten out of him had left him flustered and angry. So, naturally, he was inclined to be rational. <******** you," the would-be victim snarled before launching a flurry of punches.

Teallite came around the corner, her steps slow and deliberate. Yes she definitely did feel an aura of power... a strange sensation she wants quite used to. She peered down the alleyway and there was what appeared to be another negaverse agent, with his back to the wall, a rather brawny tattooed fella choking the air out of him with one beefy arm.
Wasn't this supposed to be going the other way, she took a few steps closer as the other agent stopped a blow that would have hit him square in the face, both of the men to distracted to notice the small negaverse agents approach, even with the soft click of her high heels announcing her presence.
It did look like he seemed to have it under control... she could just turn around and slip back out before she was noticed. Then the "victim" started to pummel other agent.
Um... Maybe not.
Teallite marched over and whacked him with her teddy-bear. It was her weapon, right? It made a comical squeaking sound, like something straight out of a cartoon. It was pathetic.
" What the ********? " The Bar patron turned with an angry snarl, not expecting to see a tiny little 5'2 blonde girl with a teddy bear " Oh that was a mistake little gi- "
And at that exact moment, disgusted with the complete USELESSNESS of her weapon, b***h smacked him right across the face, forgetting she was stronger in this form then her normal civilian self.

Almunite could be found on the ground, rubbing his jaw, when Teallite snuck up on the brawny man and whacked him with...a teddy bear? A teddy bear that squeaked upon impact. Were this any other time and he would have likely doubled over in laughter.
Here he thought his decorative fountain pen (that couldn't even write properly) was useless, but when compared to a teddy bear...well he'd struck gold with his weapon.
Green eyes watched in a mixture of amusement and worry as the small blonde went up against his attacker. Oh god, this wasn't going to end well. Worry slid into surprise when she bitched slapped him across the face, sending him sprawling to the ground. "Holy s**t." The words escaped his mouth before he even had a chance to consider his audience.
Had he just been rescued by a pipsqueak of an agent?
He didn't get much time to think anymore because tough guy was picking himself up off the ground adjusting his jaw. "Girly, you made a BIG mistake," he growled, charging at her.
Naturally, Aluminite did the only rational thing he could think of, which was leaping onto the man's back. His arms wrapped around the guy's neck and he willed his fountain pen into existance. The minute he could feel it in his hand he jabbed the point into his neck.
"Drain him! Drain him now! Then he can't do anything!"
He only hoped she understood his frantic yelling.

Teallite had never had someone, at least not someone this big charge her, and it startled her, making her take a step back with a little gasp. Heck, she had never had ANYONE charge at her before. She was just about to swing at him with her teddy bear, it was such a girly reflex she disgusted herself, when the other agent jumped on the bikers back.
And stabbed him with a pen. But he was still chargeing, and the agent was yelling. " Drain him? UH. UM. " Her normal eloquent grasp of the english language failed her as a tower of flailing men type people flailed at her, still on its course right to.
No one had told her how to drain anyone yet!! Why was she so underprepared for this?! She almost got hit in the face by a beefy flailing arm, but she flinched and folded her arms infront of her face, and the blow send her to her knees.
The biker make a gutteral sound, blood seeping from his neck, and turned, slamming his body against the brick wall, in an attempt to dislodge the other agent.
" Drain him, drain him, friggin' christ I don't know how " She scrambled to her feet, her teddybear laying abandoned in the alley, the biker slammed Aluminite against the wall, she ran over and smacked her hands to his chest... Only...
They went INTO his chest. Straight into them, and she felt her fingers curling around something warm and pulsing with life.
She froze, terrified, she had no clue what she just did.

Another turn of events that Aluminite didn't know how to handle because his rescuer was hit and brought to her knees. God, he sucked. He couldn't even properly defend, or help, someone aiding him. What good was he? "Oh god," he mumbled trying to scramble up the bikers back and peer over his shoulder at her, but it did him no good because he was thrown into a wall again.
The force left him wounded and his head slammed back and he was certain he heard a crack. With his head spinning and no breath in his lungs, the brunette let go and slumped into the floor in a mess of limbs. His pen was still lodged in the bikers neck and he could swear he saw stars.
"What do you mean you don't know how???" He croaked, tenderly touching his wounded head. He thought that they were supposed to be shown the ropes a little. Wasn't that procedural in a military-like structure? Of course, he was still pretty much as clueless as a new born baby when it came to...pretty much everything.
So, he was just as surprised as she was when her hand went into the guy's ******** chest. His eyes grew wide and he scrambled to his feet, back sliding up the wall (reminding him that he'd be very, very bruised in the morning). "What the ******** are you doing? HOW ARE YOU DOING THAT?" Each question included an increased level of volume. "PULL IT OUT. PULL YOUR ARM OUT!"
Cue panic mode level 6.

" They never showed me, They just kind of explained it once! "
And then her hands were in his chest. IN his chest. She was completely frozen, and for a split second, so was the biker. And then he screamed. A scream like Teallite had never heard before, and she started to breath fast, her constant state of calm cracking under his screeches in the impossibility that was her own arms.
What the ******** are you doing?
" I DONT KNOW! "
HOW ARE YOU DOING THAT?
" I DONT KNOW! "
As his voice rose, so did hers, and her panic became more evident.
PULL IT OUT. PULL YOUR ARM OUT!
She yanked her arms out, and with it came... a genstone? A shining vivid crystal filled with light.
The civilian suddenly stopped screaming, and slid slowly to the ground, his eyes vacant.

Her yelling back at him only made him wince in response, but to be fair. He'd probably be screaming the exact same words at her if their roles were reversed. And the guy was screeching a mixture of curses and sounds. ********. What the hell was going on? Why hadn't anyone prepared them for this?
As the glittering crystal was pulled from the chest the biker collapsed to the ground. Noise no longer escaped from his mouth. His eyes had glossed over and his chest didn't move. In many ways it was similar to watching someone collapse to the ground from a gunshot wound to the chest but at the same time completely different because SHE PULLED SOMETHING OUT OF HIS CHEST AND IT WASN'T HIS HEART.
He skittered over to her, finding that he'd stopped breathing until his hands circled her wrists. "What is that?" He knew she wouldn't know (she was as clueless as he was) but he couldn't help but ask. He looked down to the body. The guy looked dead. "Is he dead? Oh ********," any reservations he had about swearing around a lady had gone right through the window. "Put it back! Can you put it back? ********, do we need to do something with the body?"
All of the questions were asked in rapid fire succession. He was freaking out.

Her breath was coming a little bit, okay, a lot to fast. And she was staring at the floating crystal in her hands with wide, completely freaked out, pink eyes.
WHAT THE HELL WAS GOING ON. She could feel the crystal pulseing between her hands, but already the brilliance that it shone with when it first left, was starting to slowly face. Yes it was still vivid and beautiful, but it wasn't like a star held in her hands, she could almost see the light fadeing..
She looked up at him with wide scared eyes that made her look much younger then she actually was, as if him grabbing her wrists had suddenly snapped her back into the real world.
What is that?
" I dont know "
Is he dead?
" I DONT KNOW! "
Put it back!
" OH GOD IS HE REALLY DEAD?! "
Can you put it back?
" I DONT KNOW " It was become a panic filled ********, do we need to do something with the body?
She looked with wide terror filled eyes from him, to the body, from him, to the body, and shoved the shining floating crystal into his hands
" FIX IT! "
Her words were crammed in between his, just as rabid and clearly just as freaked out.

The panic and fear in her eyes struck Alumi like a chord. He wasn't helping, no he was probably making everything a million times worse. The realization helped him feel calmer and he found his breathing slowed.
And then she was shoving the crystal thing at him and screaming at him. FIX IT!"Okay, okay!" He told her, cradling the magical crystal thingy as if it would break just by looking at it funny. He lifted his hands to his face to better inspect it as the bright shine began to fade. He turned, intent on trotting back towards the biker's body that was growing colder with every minute, when he stepped and...tripped. He collapsed to the ground with a heavy thud, arm shooting forward and the crystal going flying.
It smacked into a wall and made the sound of glass shattering on tile. It splintered in to a thousand pieces. Mouth agape, he picked himself up and started backing up. Glancing down at the body he had no hope of reviving he turned on his heel and snatched his companions wrist.
"I think we should go. Now," he told her, tugging her along. A door began to creak open. "********. ********. RUN!" And he took off.

She watched him, and as he raised the crystal to his face, watching him eyeball it. Watching as he turned. Watching, her vision focusing so she almost watched in slow motion as he tripped and the crystal flew from his hand. Slow motion as it shattered, her breath coming in an audible indrawn breath. Pieces of crystal fell to the dirty ground of the alleyway in a sound like a dainty wind chime. She she wasn't so horrified, it would have sounded pretty. Starring at the glittering lightless pieces that slowly faded away... Her eyes glued to them, unable to look away until he once again grabbed her wrist. A roaring in her ears not even allowing her to hear what he had said to her.
He tugged on her wrist, and she stumbled along, for a couple steps suddenly clumsy on her very very high heels. A crack of light from an opening door, and one word cracking through her mind like a whip, voiced by the other agent of the negaverse. RUN.
He was already pulling her along, and it only took that one word to get through for her to will her legs to follow suit. It surprised her how quickly they moved when he wasn't having to drag her along. A Bonus of being a powered agent, the thought floated lazily through her mind, still trying to process what had just happened.

He kept running until he felt like he couldn't run any more. He skidded to a halt suddenly, letting go of his companions hand. He doubled over, hands on his knees as he tried to catch his breath. With how poorly things had gone tonight, Aluminite was convinced that he should never go out alone again.
He stayed like that for a minute, with his right hand coming to rest on the space above his heart like it would calm his rapid heart beat. He would look up at the blonde and offer a lopsided smile. "Well, that didn't go as excepted," he joked, straightening himself. "Sorry to get you caught up in all that," he apologized sweeping a hand through his hair.
He looked around and found that they were surrounded by greenery and trees. They'd made it to the park. "But I'm really glad you came by. I'm still not sure what happened but y'know. Probably woulda been worse, for me, if you hadn't come by."

Aluminite was much faster then the teeny-tiny-Teallite by virtue of having much longer legs then her, so at times, even though she was running as fast as she could, he was still pulling her along. And then suddenly he let go, and the suddenly lack of pressure almost had her run right smack into him.
With a squeak she would later ferociously deny ever escaped her, she pitched to the side and landed on her butt in the grass beside him as he doubled over, catching his breath. She was breathing had as well, to the point were for just a moment she layed back into the grass, inhaling great lungfuls of cool night air.
Her teddy bear suddenly appeared beside her hand, nestled innocently in the grass. Her conspirator raised his head and smiled at her, and she eyed him with pink eyes, still gratefully breathing in the cool air.
" Its alright... I got caught in it voluntarily enough. And I'm not quite sure what happened either... " Taking one final deep breath, she sat up slowly, at the moment not even caring that bits of green were stuck to the back of her dress and in her hair. She could tell he was a Negaverse agent like herself, by his aura, so she was glad she had helped him... but before she could say anything more, she asked he question that was really in her mind. " Did we kill him...? "
Her voice was quiet, and she suddenly sounded very small and young, more so then she actually was.

Many parts of Aluminite wanted to just flop down on the grass beside her but instead, he remained standing so that he could look at her. "I feel like I should be the one rescuing you, y'know be that knight and shining armor but," he paused to suck in a deep breath. "I'm okay with you being my lady knight."
Her question hit him rather hard and he sighed, sinking into the grass before her. He sat cross-legged and leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. "I don't know," he admitted, frowning. He played with the tassels that hung from his hood. "Maybe?" A pause and another sigh. "Probably? I have no idea but he looked really pale by the time we decided to run." He dropped his gaze, opting to look at his hands. He imagined the crystal in them. "Whatever you pulled out of his chest, I think it was tied to his lifeline."
Assumptions.
"But, I mean," he hesitated, trying to figure out how to say what he wanted to say. "It's not like we did it maliciously, it was self-defense." He looked up, green eyes staring unblinkingly at her. "He attacked me," another pause, "and tried to hurt you. That's unforgivable."
It didn't warrant death though, not in Aluminite's opinion, but punishment.

His notion of her being his Lady night almost, almost, drew a smile out of her.
She said quietly, suddenly remembering in vivid detail her corruption at the hands of Ilmenite. The thought how how easily he really could of killed her made her lightheaded, and all the more grateful that he hadn't. That he had instead he had flooded her with a surge of energy that had left her changed, but alive. And she didn't doubt at all that what he said, even if it was an assumption, was right.
" Right... Self defense " She watched him with wide eyes. She would cling to anything he gave her at this moment. Teallite, no... Leora... might be considered a cold person by many, but she certainly wasn't unfeeling. And she certainly had never wanted to kill anyone. So she would take any validation she could get, even such a thin one as self defense. " I didn't mean to it just... happened. "
Her voice cracked a little, still quiet, and her eyes were shiny with tears, that she wasn't ready to let fall. " It was self defense " And she sounded very much like she was trying to convince herself, like saying it out loud again would make it true.
