Well.. it would have been a lot chillier had he not just finished a hot cup of hot chocolate from Molly! In fact, he was still chewing on the last of his Krispie treat. Mmm.. he could handle a creepy cellar since he'd been properly sugared up.
As he reached the bottom, he was met with no one. Silence, and a room of odd tablets adorned with runes. "Maybe I'm early.." He murmured to himself to stave off the fear and solitude. He carefully walked toward the tablets, focusing on the sounds his shoes made on the floor, echoing off the walls. Lines and rows of shining stones he passed, each one bearing those odd and fascinating symbols.
One in particular looked especially entrancing. Dylon couldn't help but outstretch a hand toward it. His finger tips traced the lines and curves of the rune emblazoned on the surface, dark grey eyes gazing almost absently.

Dylon jumped back, looking around to see whom he had offended. "Um… pardon? Hello?" Were they here all along? Maybe in the dark it was too hard to see. But as far as he could tell, the room had no obvious hiding spots.
<>
"I---I uh.. Wow, woah… Sorry?" Wait a minute. When they said "partner" did they mean… Oh no. No no no… "Woah! Um, I'm so sorry. I-I'm sure you're a nice guy but I'm not that way!" Dylon stammered, backing away from the tablets.
<
"Sorry. I'm here." He approached the tablet once more, long fingers smoothing over the surface of the stone. "This is you, right?"
<
Dylon gulped. He wasn't sure he wanted to know what that meant. However, if this was his partner… He sighed, taking up the glowing stone. It's form shifted, and Dylon felt his mind become a little busier. Someone else was there now, as if he'd never truly been whole until this very moment.
The tablet's form became a glowing blue pair of katars, adorned with an energy that resonated with his very soul.
<> The voice eccho'd, sounding a little less hostile now that he and Dylon were one. His dark and continuous loneliness was over at long last.
"My name is Dylon.." He said aloud, unsure of how to speak to a voice inside his own mind. He smiled down at the weapons in his hands, warm and at home. "I'll take good care of you."
