The air was crisp and clean in the large forest that had Acacia Winter been quietly traveling through for some time now. She smiled as she watched the birds flit between the trees, calling to one another. They and the other woodland creatures were her only company today. Her father was out on one of his trips and her mother was at home, helping Longwei tend to the oddly colored badgers that inhabited the valley they lived in. Her father had said he'd be gone for at least three weeks, and it had taken her one to get to this peaceful place. That meant she'd have plenty of time to get back. Her light steps eventually carried her to a small clearing. A large tree took up half of it, the trunk more gnarled than those she'd passed. It's leaves spread in a broad umbrella, and... Were those antlers? Acacia blinked a few times, stepping closer to inspect what she'd seen. As she circled the tree and was able to see the stream that cut through the other half, she found an even more surprising sight. There were indeed antlers in the tree--and attached to those antlers was an Azrein. "Hello," she greeted him, trying to hide her surprise. He didn't seem bothered by the fact that his antlers were stuck in the tree behind him... How odd.

╔══════════════╗ℳ℩ℬ℧ ╚══════════════╝Mibu was currently, or atleast he thought it was currently, he never could tell, anyways... He was in conversation with Tama and Mata, the two birds who lived in his tree. He listened to their chatter, nodding every few moments when appropriate. "You're kidding!" He finally exclaimed in protest, his eyes widening in shock. "There hasn't been others in this forest since I was young, so I don't believe you. Nope. Not one-" He was cut off by the fluttering away of the two birds from the stranger that approached. He turned and immediately, his brown eyes went clear and seemed to roll back in his head as the visions of this mare's past, present, and futures flashed through his mind. Several minutes passed before the stallion returned to normal, his eyes coming back to their normal resting place and color, as they drooped. His knees buckled beneath him and he stumbled to the ground, pulling the tree limbs with him as he went. His breathing came in heavy as he lay down. "Allow me to rest, Miss Winter, then we may speak to each other." He said weakly before his body forced him into slumber.

Acacia watched the stallion have his conversation with the birds, curious. He could communicate with them? It would appear so, since the birds seemed to take notice of her first. She smiled at the two birds. "Hello," she greeted them, as she'd attempted to do to the stallion. Then her snow white eyes met his brown ones, just in time for them to lose their color. "Eh?" Her eyes widened when the eyes rolled back into his head. "U-um, does this happen often?" she asked the birds, who didn't seem too bothered by it. She stood there awkwardly for several long minutes, unsure of what to do.
Then the still-nameless stallion's eyes rolled back into consciousness and brownness. For a brief moment, she was relieved. But that moment of relief quickly vanished as the Azrein nearly collapsed. Acacia instinctively moved to his side, but became even more startled when the stallion addressed her by name. "S-sure..." It didn't look like he would've stayed awake if she hadn't "allowed" him to sleep.
She sighed quietly, trying to calm her poor, caring heart down. Hopefully he was alright now... that had been so startling! She settled herself near the base of the tree, within talking distance of the peculiar male she'd found. While he slept, she took some time to inspect him and their surroundings more completely. The Azrein's antlers seemed to be not just stuck, but attached to the tree. But the stream came up right next to it... maybe that let him drink and bathe. Or maybe he simply didn't need to. Well, maybe she'd ask him when he woke up. Whenever that was...

╔══════════════╗ℳ℩ℬ℧ ╚══════════════╝Mibu dreamt of his youth, the ignorance and bliss he'd had, and the foolish way he'd been. What a foolish, stubborn, stupid azrein he'd been. He woke, feeling slightly better but still weakened, probably from that deadening of the old trees on the edge.. or maybe just because he'd met someone new. Whichever it was, he was still in pain so this would be an interesting conversation. "I live." He said loud enough to wake the female. He turned to the birds. "Tata Maka, scram for a bit will ya?" He said, his brown eyes sparkling kindly at the birds who then flew away to hunt while Mibu didn't need them. "Now uhm... Oh dear... What was your name again, my sweet?" The god asked, his mind unable to pluck the female's name from all her memories and future memories swirling in his head. She sure had a interesting life... whether it was before her or in her past.

Acacia had herself fallen into a light doze while waiting, so his first words made her jolt. And she'd just started to have such a lovely dream... she couldn't remember now what was in it, though. She blinked her eyes several times to get her vision to focus, surprised at the figure it fell on. Who was...? Oh, right. The stallion that was attached to a tree. She shook away her sleep as the two birds were sent away. She tilted her head slightly at his question. "My name?" She giggled. "First you use it without me telling you and then you can't remember it? That's an odd dilemma to have." Teasing done, she introduced herself properly. "My name is Acacia Winter. What might your name be?"
What an odd meeting. She was curious to see where this conversation ended up.

╔══════════════╗ℳ℩ℬ℧ ╚══════════════╝Mibu smiled wide at the female. So polite! He hadn't had company in so long he had forgotten how nice it was. "Ah yes, Miss Winter. Its a pleasure." he said as he dipped his head to her, well as much as he could... the tree shook a couple trees down and groaned at him for making her move. He turned to look at the tree. "My apologies Miss WhiteThorn but we have gone through this discussion before. Now, I have company so would you mind piping down?" He asked turning back to the female. He smiled at her. "What was your name again, my sweet?" He asked, forgetting that he had already asked and had gotten the answer. Though after a moment his eyes took on a troubled sheen as he tried to think. "Oh yes, my apologies. Name already established. Forgive this mind of mine." He said with a pleasant smile. Now, onto business. Wait.. what business. "What brings you here?" He asked.

Acacia couldn't stop herself from smiling as well at the sight of the male's obvious glee in her response. How cute! Though he seemed older than her... Oh well. No matter what the age, cute was cute. She stifled a second giggle at the stallion's scolding of the tree he was attached to. When he asked her what her name was a second time, she didn't mind; she was about to reply again when he seemed to remember that he'd asked already. "It's not a problem," she replied.
What brought her there? That was a good question. What had brought her there?
"My hooves." The response came out before she realized she'd opened her mouth to answer. She smiled sheepishly as she explained. "I'm not really sure what brought me here, so that's the only answer I have. I was just wandering, um..." She paused, tilting her head as she looked at him. "What was your name?" He hadn't given it to her; he'd been distracted by Miss WhiteThorn, the gnarled tree.

╔══════════════╗ℳ℩ℬ℧ ╚══════════════╝Mibu nearly pranced in place as the female replied. "Oooooh a sense of humor!" He grinned and calmed down as the tree began to protest again. "Tati! Mati! Come back! This one has a humor, she does!" He called to his birds, just as he heard her question. He tilted his head for a moment as he tried to recall. "My name? Hrm. yes.. Well... surely I have one..." He looked at her quizzically. "Do you not know, can you not tell me?" He asked, still trying to come up with a name. That was when his birds landed on his tree and chirped down to him. "AHHHH YES! I remember now, thank you Talia." he exclaimed, turning back to Acacia. "Chipchirp... Uh I mean.. Mibu. I am called Mibu." He answered, obviously pleased by his answer.

Acacia giggled at his excitement, though quieted at the tree's protests to the stallion's movements. He was like an excited foal! But that was ok. Sometimes she wished the Azrien she met while with her father would act like that. Some of them were a little too serious...
The mare smiled in amusement at his question. "Not until you tell me. Unfortunately, I lack the talent of telepathy," she informed him in a teasing tone. She listened to the birds chirping, as if it would allow her to know what they were saying. She burst into giggles again at his reply. When she calmed, she spoke again. "Mibu," she repeated. "It's a wonderful name. You should try to hold onto it a little more tightly." White eyes sparkling like snow in the sun, she continued. "Would you be able to teach me how to speak to birds?" she inquired. It was interesting... Though if she ever did learn, she'd have to be careful not to make the same mistake Mibu had just made.

╔══════════════╗ℳ℩ℬ℧ ╚══════════════╝Mibu cocked his head and eyed the female. "Talk to birds?! That would be an amazing talent, that would." he chuckled and smiled at the female. He smiled down at her as he chuckled and sang a little ditty about birds falling out of the sky, his eyes shining bright. After he finished the song he shook out the leaves on his back and turned back to her, his tail wagging enthusiastically. "Tell me dear, though I already know. Why are you here? Do you even know? Are you lost? Tut tut.. Can't be lost in these parts here... might never find your way out."

Acacia smiled. "Yes, it would!" she agreed, just going with the flow despite the oddity of it.
His little ditty about birds falling out of the sky was cute and he seemed so happy singing it. She giggled, resisting the temptation to n** at the wagging tail. "I'm just wandering. This forest looked like an interesting place, so I came here." She paused, then added, "I think I can get out. I'll just walk the same way I came in." Though not right now. Right now she was having fun talking to Mibu.

╔══════════════╗ℳ℩ℬ℧ ╚══════════════╝Mibu reached up and grabbed a fruit that was offered to him by one of the birds. He turned and offered it to Acacia. "Are you hungry, dear? Please eat and settle in and we can get down to business." He said warmly, his whole demeanor changing into something more serious, more graceful, and more... well with more marbles that was for sure. He waited until she settled in before opening his mouth again. "I have seen you. Your past, present, and future. And might I say.. those purple beast things that you associate with.. They are strange indeed."

Acacia smiled and accepted the fruit gratefully. "Thank you." She settled and ate a few bites as she listened to Mibu speak. Purple beast things? "The badgers? Hmm... I don't find them that strange." She shrugged. "But I've lived around them most of my life, so I guess that's to be expected." Her adopted mother loved helping the local dragon, Longwei, take care of them. Apparently he wanted to preserve the diversity of the oddly-colored badgers, but the predators in the area liked eating the purple, miniature badgers more than the others... At least, that's what she thought Longwei had said. "You can see the lives of others?" she inquired. She assumed that's how it worked. Maybe that was what happened when he collapsed earlier?

╔══════════════╗ℳ℩ℬ℧ ╚══════════════╝Mibu grinned and pranced in place before finally settling down on the ground. "Okay okay. Now.. business...yes..." He was quiet for a moment before continuing. "Now I am.. hm.. what was that..? Yes... I am Mibu... a deity of Visions and Knowledge. Lots of things come to me but... as you can see I am forgetful.' He finished and grinned up at the tree above him, which was apparently telling him something about the western edge of the forest near the sea. "Yes Ms WhiteThorn... I can feel it..." He turned back to Acacia, his head waving back and forth to the song in his head as her life flashed before him, including her children. "I live and experience every single bit of time, of everyone's life, though I hardly remember any of it.. and what I do remember, I can't change." He added, his brown eyes closing. It took seconds and he had dozed off asleep. A rattle from the tree above him woke him up. "Oh hello! You can ask me a question you know... Of anything... Like... how many children will you have.. Or who your mate will be... Is there something you wish to know?'

Acacia listened carefully. A deity. A powerful but forgetful deity. How peculiar... When he "woke up" and said she could ask questions about her life, she wasn't sure what to say. "I don't really have any questions about myself... if there's something you want to tell me, though, I wouldn't mind." She paused then asked, "Is it lonely being here by yourself?" How long had it been, since he'd last had a visitor like herself?
