Her wings ached and she wasn't exactly sure, once again, where she had wound up. But her da had said she was free to travel and explore on her own, like he had, as long as she checked back in within a several days. Which meant, she didn't travel very far. But at least she didn't have to worry about her father waiting for her tonight. No, he wasn't expecting her yet. Good. It meant she could figure out where she'd wound up and which way would lead her back to the outskirts of the desert.
Ears twitching, she glanced around, keeping up a steady trot. There were trees. And more trees. And-
Alarion came to an abrupt hault. Slinking around the trees appeared a familiar dark blue fox. The mare puffed out a breath of air, waiting for Shalira to join her. "Anything?" She asked her familiar companion.
Shalira flicked her ears back and forward, sniffed the air, and then sat in front of the mare. "Yes." She said simply in a velvety voice. Nodding over her shoulder, the fox rose to her feet and lead her companion to a meadow. It was pretty and the flowers she could smell were soft and fragrant.
The winged mare stared quietly, shuffling her wings a little. It was sort of awe inducing how a meadow like this was hidden amongst the trees. Alarion was fairly sure you wouldn't find it unless it was accident or you knew where it was. Or, well, that's what she thought anyways. Curiously, with Shalira weaving cautiously about her legs, fox and soquili entered the meadow.
