Ah, so your a little confused or just wondering what each stat means and how it works? Well, then you've come to the right section. Here you'll learn all about stats and what they are used for!
Baiter Stats:
B.A.I.T.R Standing: This stat is a ranking system used by B.A.I.T.R to determine the strength of both their operatives and their enemies. When you defeat an enemy in battle this stat determines the amount of bonus experience you can gain from them.
Strength + Skill + Defense / 2 = B.A.I.T.R Standing
When you defeat an enemy in battle, you gain free lines equal to this stat for yourself as well as your A.I. Cores.
Health: This is how much damage that you can receive. When you are in a fight. If your Health is reduced to zero, you will have lost too much blood and pass out. The opponent then has the opportunity to either kill you or let you live. If you are hit with 1000 damage and you are only have 700 health, the opponent still has the choice to let you survive or not. If, however, they decide to kill you, an implant in your heart will cause a teleportation field to activate and bring you back to HQ. After they reconstruct your body with the same technology used to construct the physical forms of the A.I. Cores, you will undergo a term of rehabilitation to recover. This will cause your next 100 lines to be null, as your body is mending from the recreation. This number increases by another 100 every time you die.
Control Limit: This stat represents the strength of the A.I. you are capable of binding to your will, before they will take over your soul.
Strength + Skill + Defense x 4 = Control Limit
Control limit must be greater than the B.A.I.T.R Standing of all the A.I. Cores that you have within your Code Cores multiplied by 2! If an A.I. Core would cause your Control Limit to be less than the total sum of all B.A.I.T.R Standings multiplied by 2, then it may not be bound to your Code Core.
Control Limit is the only stat an A.I. Core will not have.
Skill: This stat is how skillful you are in battle. If you are more skillful than your opponent, you will be able to strike with your weapon more fluently and more frequently.
Your Skill / Half of Opponents Skill = # of attacks (min = 1)(max = 10)
Strength: This stat tells you how physically strong your character is, the higher this stat, the more brute force and damage can be thrown into an attack.
Strength = Hit Chance
Strength x 5 = Damage
Defense: This stat shows your capability of defending yourself. You will use this to take defensive action against attacks.
Defense = Block Chance
Hit Chance - Block Chance = Defense Chance ((100 - Defense Chance = % Chance))
Defense Chance can't be lower than 1.
After you have your % chance, you roll a 100 sided dice and if your number is equal or lower than that of your % chance, you successfully avoid the attack.
Rolling a 1 is an auto-success all the time.
Rolling a 100 is always a fail.
Example:
Hit Chance = 120
Block Chance = 70
120 - 70 = 50 ((100 - 50 = 50% Chance))
You would then roll a 100 Sided die, and if you rolled 50 or lower, you would succeed in avoiding the attack. If you rolled 51 or higher, you would fail the attempt and be hit by the attack.
If you fail a block check, your Defense still soaks up Damage equal to three times its stat value.
So, say you are about to receive 300 Damage, and you have 50 in your Defense stat. It would work out like this:
50 x 3 = 150 (300-150 = 150 Total Damage)
This can not decrease damage by more than 80%.
