Imagine your worst fear manifesting into reality. What do you fear most? You can name more than one fear. I actually fear quite a lot of things.

Well I can recall in a nightmare I had a few weeks back, I was in an unfamiliar room or tunnel of some kind... and it was absolutely pitch black... and this creature kept making loud shrieks. Personally, I can be afraid of total darkness in an unfamiliar setting, and unexpected loud noises will scare the hell out of me... especially in the effect of making me panic. So in that scenario, simply let your imagination run wild as to what manner of beast may lie lurking in those shadows I really don't want to venture into.

That's really cool. It fits the silent hill I've pictured onto various places like the airport cockpit and a Lighthouse building by the sea with abandoned ships floating along the sea. These are actually places I've been to.

It's very dark in the night and you are alone by yourself. You have to collect a key in the lighthouse that is important to unlock your safety. As your are walking by a big stone bridge across the sea that connects to the lighthouse, you could hear the incessant noise of the waves splashing on the tall stone bridge. You are completely alone while walking on the bridge and irritating sound of wires screeching can be heard constantly. The sound is so loud you could hear it ringing in your ears. Being as cautious as possible you try not to run. You look out to the dark open sea and there you see an old dock built on the seawater with docked ships beside it. You swear that you just saw something that was going to appear in front of the abandoned ship.
As you keep walking...you get a horrible feeling as though something scary will pop up......but as you keep walking on the bridge, nothing happens. All you can hear is the waves and the cold wind blowing onto you.

It's a scare element where you think something is going to happen but nothing happened in the end. The surrounding atmosphere and the noises makes you feel uneasy.
By the way, the monster will appear when you enter the Lighthouse. That's when it will happen. It's a horrible feeling and I definitely don't want to experience that.

See I have actually commented on that very thing before. I love how Silent Hill really employs that scare tactic. When I am running through a forest on Silent Hill 2, and I hear these growls or shrieks... It can almost be worse than the real thing... and then nothing appears and idk... it's just very scary at times. Sometimes, it's enough to make you want to avoid an area altogether. Like in Silent Hill 4, the white noise sound the ghosts give off when they get near you used to terrify the HELL out of me!

Yea Ill admit it was a pretty good scenario. I wouldn't mind seeing that turn out in a game. Silent Hill 4 also had moments like that in its Forest World, and in Water Prison world especially.

Ever of heard of this torture method, Death by a thousand cuts???
Or how about fingernail pulling? It involves the peeling of your fingernails one by one. After all five fingernails are pulled out from your left hand, they will proceed to pull out the ones of your right hand. With the extraction of all fingernails, leaving the exposed flesh, they intensify the pain by pouring vinegar on your wounds.
After a few days, they will rub some salt onto it. They leave you there so your fingers will rot slowly and soon your fingers will feel nothing anymore.

My three biggest fears would have to be...
1) Heights
2) Being alone
3) Freakin' Shadow People

My fear of heights comes from the fact that one wrong move and I could be seriously hurt or dead. Even when there is like glass or something such as when I visited the Hancock Building in Chicago. The feeling of falling and knowing you're going to die if you did. What terrifies me the most is if I were to fall from a great height I would have time to think and know of what's coming. The fear only gets worse because of that strange feeling my mind creates. Anyone else get near ledges and they have an urge to jump even when you don't want to? It's like the mind is reminding me of the terror of doing so.

Onto being alone. I hate being home alone or in unfamiliar places all together as I always feel as if I'm being watched or something is there with me like a murderer or thug. When I'm home alone and I hear my house creak I automatically assume some killer broke in or worse.

Shadow people.....goddam shadow people...I hate them and what's worse is I believe in them. I question if it's my mind playing tricks on me or if they actually do exist. This can be incorporated to when I'm alone as I over analyze and get nervous. I tend to notice shadows moving in my peripheral vision of people when nothing is there and I get terrified, like just a quick movement of a figure zipping by. I even had a lucid dream of them or maybe it was real. I woke up around 3 AM home alone once to find a human shadow figure just sitting on my chest and I couldn't breath at all! (the couldn't breath part was definitely real) This lucid dreaming or terrifying nightmare come true only lasted for a short 5-10 seconds or so but it was the most terrifying moment in my life. I tried to thrash and get it off me and scream as soon as I noticed it but I couldn't. I was paralyzed not just with fear but that's when I saw 3 other shadow figures, two on the sides of me bed pinning my arms and beyond the one on my chest one at the bottom of my bed holding my feet down. I gave one of those night terrors shouts finally and they disappeared and I was dripping sweat. Keep in mind this was only over a period of a few seconds. Now I'm more terrified of Shadow People then ever. I don't know if they're ghosts or beings from another plane of existence or if my mind has actually manifested real ones out of my fear. All I know is I sure as hell don't want to find out. One of my favorite books of course though John Dies at The End not only made me more terrified of them but due to the books humor and story actually got me curious about them. One of my closest friends who recommended the book to me late last December also has had experiences with them, worse and more terrifying than mine actually, and he questions them as well. So our biggest fear also became our largest curiosity. Now every month we go out in the woods near a recreational park and go as he calls it Slenderman hunting just for fun. We never expect to find anything because it's usually just us goofing off and learning to laugh at our fears in case we ever do have encounters with them again. We'll still be terrified but we'll be braver as well when we do the real thing. The real thing is us going investigating in abandoned places in our city and the surrounding areas with places that are claimed to be haunted with ghosts (or as we believe shadow people) and yes it is illegal to break into some of these places as even though the cities abandoned it it's still their property but we do it anyway. It's fun and the two of us just hope we can gain information but we hope our curiosity doesn't get us in trouble or killed or worse, encountering those things that terrify us ever again.

This is all true by the way I wouldn't lie. I'll also be honest me and my friend might be crazy as we both have only had one actual encounter and like I said his was more terrifying than mine. In all honesty I really could have had a lucid dream and my mind was just playing with me. But his was real. His encounter with the thing terrified me even and I never bore witness to it. Even his mom saw the shadow person which he described like a shadow that was half man and snake like a hybrid. It was in their guest bedroom and they refused to go in it for a whole month or so. His step-dad who lives with him also never witness it in actuality but whenever he walked past the room he got a strange vibe from it for no reason. My friend and his mom told him about it and he believed them because I mean come on it is pretty weird to get a strange vibe from a room in your house when you never had one for it before. So my friend and his mom continued to avoid the room and whenever they just peeked in or walked by they still got that weird feeling. Then one day my friend went to visit his cousin out in Jackson, Michigan which is only like an hour or 2 drive away from the metro area where we live. (We live in a town outside Detroit that's really nice, not downtown to clarify) His cousin is a college drop out in a run down town with shops and almost everything else closed. I've only been out their once to visit my great-grandparents grave. His cousin who is actually really intelligent and nice was considered not smart by many including his college and family, college because of family money troubles and family because he has a gift to see a person's aura according to my friend. My friend said when his aura was read by his cousin it came out orange that symbolizes creativity and a need to learn which is really damn accurate. I think his gift is like one of those stickers or mood rocks that change color based on mood. So due to this claimed gift his parents thought he was crazy and signed him up for therapy....of which the therapist thought he was crazy so he got put into a mental hospital for a few months even though he's completely normal except for this ability to see aura. So anyway when my friend went to visit him about 9 months ago when he got out he told him about his Shadow Person experience. His cousin gave him some instructions and told him to go home and call him. When my friend arrived home he called his cousin the next day and asked him what to do. His cousin told him to plug in his mp3 and play some really motivational music so he did. Then his cousin told him to go to the room. His cousin apparently from long distance was trying to control the shadow person or my friend can't remember whom with his thoughts. His cousin told him to picture something that would give him strength so my friend pictured a set of armor made of energy around him so the thing couldn't get to him. Then his cousin sensed a horrible aura and that's when the shadow man appeared to my friend. He told me he was terrified but he kept his cool and listened to his music like his cousin told him too for motivation and kept picturing the armor on him. His cousin said it was getting difficult to control whatever he was controlling so my friend ran up and started kicking at the thing and screaming ******** you and get out of here over and over until it left. His cousin said he didn't sense anything anymore and asked what happened and he told his cousin what he did. Now whenever my friend walks by or in that room he wasn't scared or got a strange feeling anymore. I came over one day and it felt just like a normal room and his mom who wasn't home when he did what he did walked by the room once and then came back downstairs and asked him if it was just her or was she not scared of or getting a weird feeling from that room anymore to which my friend told her what had transpired. I honestly didn't believe him at first so I asked his mom and she said it was true. My friend is 20 so it's not like he's a little kid pulling a prank and having his mom cover up for him he's a really honest mature guy. I believe him not and that's how our shadow people hunt began.

Damn I'm sorry I wrote so much guys xd Didn't expect to go into detail about my fears. sweatdrop

Damn I'm sorry I wrote so much guys xd Didn't expect to go into detail about my fears. sweatdrop

Ha, you'd have to try better than to simply list excruciating pains xp Actually, it was probably wrong of me to list that as a fear... because it isn't really a fear... in fact I am quite fascinated by most things torture/death related. I think perhaps I fear an excruciating pain for someone I care deeply about... to witness it.... for instance, a best friend..

But see, I love my Viking heritage, and one of the methods they used a lot was called Blood Eagle.... they bound your feet and hands, took the skin off your back, broke your ribs across your back, and then while you were still alive and in horrific pain, they pulled your lungs out through the hole in your back. Not only is it just unbelievably brutal... but talk about creative!

Well I don't like the torture or the inflicting of pain towards others--be it animals or humans. It's disgusting to see humans do something like that to each other...That's why I don't like the character Margaret Holloway from silent hill homecoming.

Believe me when I say I wish more for a world without the violence and tortures. What interests me is the thought process that went into those methods... and then even trying to place your mind in such a dark place such as the mind of the person commiting the torture.... And that humans have such a strong capacity to do such things to begin with. It makes me think very deep on such matters. It's simply an odd curiosity, but one I wish never to witness for myself in person.
