As soon as Monty swallowed his potion it wasn't long before he saw his hands start to change color to a weird shade of pink "Whhhatt the hell?...dammit!!!" he dropped the spoon on the table and plopped in his seat, looking at his hands then back to the potion and professor Z. “Textbook!?” He looked at the corner of the table to find the book laying there. “That would have been helpful like half an hour ago.” He muttered to himself before picking up the spoon and tossing it back in the pot. “Thanks for the class...I guess.” he said to Professor Z. before he turned to walk out. Just as he reached the door he took another look at his hands and watched as they started to now turn purple. “ugh this sucks.” He tried to pull his jacket sleeves down a bit to hide his hands as he walked out of the classroom.

“At least it doesn't hurt, I guess.” he looked at his hands again, now a pale blueish. “Stupid potions, what do I need them for anyways.” He wasn't sure what to think of his side affect from his potion. It was kind of cool to watch the colors change and everything but at the same time it was kind of annoying having to walk around with hands that would randomly change every 2 minutes. As Monty was walking back to his dorm he kept watching his hands every few minutes to see what color they would be next, before he would pull his jacket back over them to try and hide them from any on lookers.

“Hey you...” Monty heard from behind him he stopped and turned around “Me?” he asked the boil “Yeah you.. how do you do that?” the other boil said as he pointed to Monty's hands, “it's cool.” Monty sighed a little and looked down at his hands before telling the boil “ It's a side effect from my potion I just did in the beginner potion making class.” Monty held out his hands a more so the boil could see them, “ We were supposed to make a memory potion but mine failed and instead did this,” He wiggled his fingers, “I think it has something to do with the Dried Chameleon Tail I used for the main ingredient.” There where a few more students that passed by as they where talking. Some of them didn't notice and others would walk past a few feet stop and look back and whisper before walking off again. “ Oh that sucks but I still think it's cool.” the boil said as he started to walk away, Monty looked at his hands again and watched as they changed from the blue they had been back to a more pinkish color. “Yeah I guess it's kind of cool in a way.”

By the time he had reached his dorm room a few others had stopped him and asked how he was able to change his hands. By the third time he got tired of telling them a failed potion and just started making things up like he touched some cursed stone, or the last version he told to a ghoul was that he had found a magic chameleon near the graveyard and it had licked him and he could now make his hands change to whatever color he wanted to.

When he finally was able to get into his dorm room he just didn't care anymore about the fact that he had color changing hands and he didn't know if he was going to have them forever or if it would go away. He dropped his stuff on his desk and went to his couch, sat down and scooped up his most favorite pet Luxur. “Hey there buddy.” He said as he went to scratch Luxur's tummy but he didn't want anything to do with that. Instead he jumped back on to his couch cushion and started to paw at Monty's hand as it changed colors again this time his fingers where a purple and the rest of his hands where blueish. Luxur jumped back a little as if he was afraid. “It's going Lux, come here.” But Luxur jumped down and went under the couch instead.

“ At least I don't croak or howl like some of the other people ended up doing from their potions.” He muttered as he sank back into the couch more and watched his hands for awhile before he dozed off.
When he woke up a few hours later Luxur had nuzzled up to him with his head on Monty's hand. It took a few minutes for Monty to realize his hands where back to normal mostly... There was still one little finger that was changing but it very pale and could hardly be noticed after a few more minutes.
