But I looked around and didn't see a fic rec thread, which is a real shame, considering the level of talent in this fandom. Feel free to rec stuff, and I'll add it to this post, just for organization's sake. HANNIBAL/WILL

The Borderland State
Pairings: Hannibal/Will

Summary: Three years after Hannibal's arrest, Will Graham stands on the front porch of his Georgian seaside home and watches twin headlights navigate the winding stretch of his lane. There is only one reason Jack Crawford would travel all this way, in the rain: Hannibal Lecter has escaped from prison, and no one knows where he is.

Written for the Hannibal Kink Meme prompt: Will figured out Hannibal was the Chesapeake ripper, resulting Hannibal's imprisonment and a complete breakdown for Will. A few years later, Hannibal escapes from prison. Despite the risk, the first thing he does is go after his Mongoose. Give me obsessive, possessive, creepy as hell Hannibal who still wants Will for his own.
Notes: Not sure how I feel about the ending, but the rest of the story is really good.

every color at hand
Pairings: Hannibal/Will
Rating: E
Warnings: none mentioned
Summary: Will has long been familiar with Hannibal's expertise in the kitchen, but he isn't aware Hannibal applies himself with similar fastidiousness to the finer arts—until the day Hannibal asks him to sit for a portrait.
Notes: This feels completely natural in the way it unfolds, and the more explicit parts are really well written (as is the whole thing, but, y'know).

Falling in Love... Among Other Things
Pairings: Hannibal/Will
Rating: E
Warnings: none
Summary: Doctor Hannibal Lecter was very clumsy. It was the first thing Will noticed about the man, who tripped and stumbled his way into Will's life.

It only seemed fair that Will should fall for him in return.
Notes: An AU in which Hannibal is not a cannibal, and Will Graham doesn't need to be saved. For all your happy Hannigram needs, look no further!

Hyacinth House
Pairings: Hannibal/Will
Rating: E
Warnings: Blood/Gore, Biting, Seizures, OC Death
Summary: It all starts with an injury Will sustains while sleepwalking.
Notes: A very long and intricate story with multiple sequels, but this one is kind of the staple of the fandom!

La Maison Rouge
Pairings: Hannibal/Will
Rating: E
Warnings: none mentioned, but it's Hannibal, so at least assume cannibalism
Summary: Hannibal starts to show up at Will's house at the crack of dawn to make him breakfast, killing two birds with one stone: cooking is one of his many passions, and, honestly, Will Graham is climbing up the list.
Notes: Just a one-shot, but so beautifully written that it's perfect as is.




WILL/ALANA

Bloom's Mortal Enemy
Pairings: Will/Alana
Rating: GA-T
Warnings: Abuse, Suicide, Self-Harm, Major Character Death
Summary: "Suicide was Bloom's Mortal enemy." ~ Red Dragon, chapter seventeen

Series of three Will/Alana oneshots semi-based around the quote above. These follow each other chronologically and thematically, but also stand alone. Begins with Will's trial.
Notes: Really well-written, and an interesting look on Alana's backstory, and how that affects her relationship with Will. There's also lots of Beverly, which is always good. The story doesn't have a happy ending though, so be warned. Also not sure why Gaia insists keeping a slash in the title when I didn't put one there, but whatever, lol.




HANNIBAL/ALANA

I have the future on my tongue
Pairings: Hannibal/Alana
Rating: E
Warnings: Knives
Summary: No, but seriously, why didn't they have that affair?
In which Hannibal and Alana have more fun in the kitchen than just making tomato roses.
Notes: Pretty much just straight up porn I guess, lol, but it's really well-written porn! They make so much sense together, and I have a total soft spot for their relationship.




MULTIPLE PAIRINGS

He Who Pours Out Vengeance
Pairings: Gen for now, but it promises Hannibal/Alana and Will/Alana
Rating: T
Warnings: Drug Use, Violence, Emotional Manipulation
Summary: Post-Savoureux. Will fights back.
Notes: This is actually a really good imagining of Season 2. It's kind of everything I want from it so far.

Pairings: Hannibal/Alana, Will/Alana
Rating: M
Warnings: none mentioned
Summary: Alana Bloom is a person very sure of her own shortcomings.
Notes: I hesitated to rec this because it's a WIP that hasn't been updated in a while, but it's SO GOOD and well-written and a beautiful look in on the Hannibal/Alana/Will dynamic. It's also from Alana's perspective, which is not something you see too often, but works really well in the context of the story.

Notes: Written before release of S2. Realistic and smooth delivery, solid characters, bittersweet interactions and delicious despair!
