The weather was warm and the sun prickled LuLu's skin just enough to ease away any tension. Her lavender eyes slid shut behind a pair of sunglasses as she made her way down the shore. Her ribbon dragged in the wet sand and left a trail behind her. One of her hands toyed idly with a thin chain that dangled daintily across her body. The golden accent rested atop her new curves and framed her swimsuit top in just the right way. LuLu's other hand carried a beach bag full of essentials, most of which had been shoved upon her by her caretaker. In all honesty, she would have no clue what to bring to a beach on her own. Bodies of water just did not exist in Aekea aside from retention ponds. She was lucky Josh had some insight and enough concern to make sure she brought at least a bottle of sunscreen with her. Josh was actually the reason why she was even here. He had agreed to let Lu tag along with him on a short business errand in Gambino. At first, her guardian had been a bit hesitant to let her wander. The worry was warranted considering the boy could count on his hand the number of times the rabbit had been to the distant island. However, with some coaxing, the sigel had been given a day at the beach by herself and she was determined to enjoy it to her fullest.

It was a lovely day at the beach. Ki had given him the day to spend as he would (she'd finally started to let him have a little more freedom, after a lot of worrying and lecturing when he frequently wandered off without her permission...), and he'd opted to spend the afternoon at the seashore. After wandering around and doing some people watching (one couple had finally gotten up and moved, when he'd been too indiscreet), he'd finally settled by a rather large tidepool, and was watching a small fish swim dangerously close to a crab, almost hidden beneath a rock. His expression was intent, and distinctly predatory, as he waited to see if the crab was feeling hungry.
Leaning a little closer, he lifted a small pebble, allowing it to hover over the pool's surface for a moment before dropping it right next to where the fish was drifting closer and closer to the crab, the small splash causing it to dart off in another direction. Smiling slightly to himself, he straightened, running damp fingertips through his spiky locks. His pale skin stood out dramatically when compared to the other people enjoying the hot summer day, especially since he was wearing very little. Turning back towards the beach, he was still smiling, when he froze. Was that...another Raevan?? Cocking his head slightly to the side, he stared, unmindful of how...disconcerting the focus of his attention was likely to find that sort of scrutiny...

LuLu suddenly felt a weight upon her. Eyes peering at her. She peeked around curiously from behind the veil of her glasses to investigate where the sensation was coming from. "Oh," The sigel exclaimed as she spotted the frei. It seemed like he had spotted her first though and his intense focus had no appearance of waning. Well, LuLu should say hello then and not leave him hanging there wide eyed. That would be rude. She approached him slowly and waved her hand.
From a distance, the other raevan looked familiar. Yellow fins and red hair. Was it Varun? However, as she floated closer it became apparent to her that this was not the same person. She had not met this frei before. Her movements became a bit more reserved and hesitant now. The rabbit skirted a few feet around him before she spoke, "Good day."

He didn't move, himself, until she got close, tilting his head slightly as she skirted around him before smiling and lifting a hand in a return greeting. "Hi there." Without hesitating, he held his hand out expectantly, studying her curiously all the while. "I'm Tangaroa...what's your name?"
She wasn't the first frei he'd met, but it had been such a rare occurrence that he really wasn't sure as to how to behave--not that he was a good one for social niceties to begin with, much to Ki's endless frustration, but still. "I haven't met any other frei in a long time," He said, deciding that perhaps some explanation of his staring was merited. He might not usually care, but Ki had emphasized the point often enough that he did at least recognize that it could sometimes be a little...unnerving.shushida I AM SO SORRY, I completely forgot I hadn't replied to this, rrrrrrgh! LuLu flicked her eyes over his hand before she took it in her own. Her fingers were slim but sturdy and her palm was dwarfed by his. She gave him a soft squeeze before she dipped down in a curtsy. Her voiced chimed high and delicate as she released her hold, "LuLu." She formed the other raevan's name in her mouth slowly practically breathing it out, "Tangaroaaaa. It is a pleasure to meet you."
She toyed idly with the gold chain on her body as he explained himself. The rabbit shook her head softly to wave off his concern. "It is fine. I should be flattered you are staring. It means I am new and exciting, yes?" Her voice picked up at the end giving away her teasing tone. "You are new and exciting to me, too." Her lavender eyes trained across his bright clothing and hair as well as the eccentric way he was styled. Yes, he was certainly different from other freis she had seen. Even from Varun now that she had gotten a closer look.

Skimming his eyes over her again, he narrowed them slightly, as if in curiosity. "There's...more of you," he started, hesitating a moment before continuing, as if he'd started to speak before really realizing what he wanted to ask. "Than there is of me, I mean--why is that?"
He found he was rather jealous, if he were honest; while there were indeed advantages to having only part of a torso, there were things it made far more difficult, as well--things like slouching in a chair, or lounging behind a desk.

LuLu shook her head a sad lilt bled into her words, "Not to this one. Gambino is far from my home." Her expression seemed downcast until an idea struck her. A smile returned to her lips and her eyes went alight, "But, I can come more often to visit. Would like that? Do you live close by?" Just as Tangaroa was curious of Lu, she was curious of him. She knew not everything could be learned in one brief meeting; yet, this could be the sigel's excuse to traverse to the further ends of Gaia more often. LuLu blinked in surprise before her expression slid back into one of contentment and relaxation. So, she must have been the first sigel this frei had seen. She would be happy to indulge him a little then. It made her feel needed, like a mentor. "Yes, there is. I am not completely sure why. When I got my stomach.... I was going through a lot of difficulties. Someone told me it is a sign you have grown more mature. I suppose my maturity was won through hardship," Her eyes caught his and held them, "I am sure you will know when it is your time."LuLu brought her hand up and curled her fingers to beckon the amber closer. "Do you want to touch?" The question was more well intentioned then it seemed. To be honest, the rabbit had not been able to keep her own hands off herself for the first week. She was certain others held her same curiosity and the burning twitch in their fingers to explore.
