Today, Hel was sitting in a field that was surrounded by trees just outside the school grounds. Luckily, it was not the forbidden forest…not that she was worried about getting caught, it was just that her present company wouldn’t even entertain the thought of being there. Hel was sitting on Mot’s feet.
Hel was sitting on Mot’s feet, with her lips parted in awe, as the boil exercised.
She had only become aware of the fact that Mot was training recently. Not just idly training, or doing it every once in a while, but seriously training. Scheduled exercise. You know, the kind she wished he’d been doing since their first year…
But better late than never.
“…I have to say, Motty, I am really proud of you.” She genuinely meant it too.

Mot completed one crunch after another, steadily, without rushing himself. While he had been becoming steadily better at pushing his body, he was never a fan of destroying it. Therefore, slow and steady was always the ideal method, never straining his joints or muscles more than necessary. Training alone had become depressing, so he called upon his best friend to help him out.
He smiled with a short chuckle as he worked, a flush deepening besides the work out red in his cheeks. "Thank you, Hel. It's nice to hear you say that you're proud of me." He admitted, huffing lightly after finishing twenty crunches, laying down for a moment to catch his breath before attempting another set.
"This is much more fulfilling than training on my own. I'll sit on your feet next, yeah?"

Hel just grinned at the boil, and nodded her head. “Ya! Neh, Mot? If you want to train together regularly, we can!” The ghoul then nodded her head again, and laughed. “Ha! Certainly! You can sit on my feet…though you have to pardon me if I doubt you will keep me anchored.” She stuck her tongue out at him.
“You may be getting mass, boil, but you are still a bean pole.” Hel was fairly certain she weighed more than he did…despite the fact he was nearly a foot taller than her. “Oh…OH!” Hel suddenly cried, patting his knees with her hands. “I have things to tell you!”

"Really? That would be wonderful! Are you up for being a part of my early morning workout routine then?" He asked hopefully, going in for another 15 crunches to finish his set. Her comments made him giggle, though they were often short due to his concentration on even breathing during his abdomen training. "Perhaps I ought to weigh myself down with weights while sitting on your feet." He joked lightly.
The 15 finished, Mot laughed and sat up. "What things do you have to tell me?" He asked with a toothy smile.

“Ya, certainly!” Hel replied cheerfully. “I am up early as well…so I can just work along side you.” The ghoul idly played some sort of weird ‘patty cake’ on his knees as he did his crunches, and cackled at his comment. “Ya, probably.” She agreed. Once Mot finished, Hel grinned widely, and planted her hands on his knees.
“Things.” She echoed. “First, I had a talk with Mac.” She paused for a moment. “It was not the talk I was expecting, or wanted…but it was still good. An unexpected kind of good, yanno?” Hel leaned a bit, resting her chin on top of her hands on top of Mot’s knees. “He made me figure out what my problem was…like flipping a light switch in a room! Why I had such a bad attitude for a long time now…to sum it up, I was just frustrated, at everything, and I was taking it out through…well…nagging and worrying at those closest to me…as well as being really aggressive to those younger than me.” Hel drummed her fingers on his knees.
“So, now that I know, I feel better…and I made a promise! I am going to be an ever better reaper than I was my first year!” She grinned at the boil. “No more feeling sorry for myself…but oh…do not worry, I verbally smacked him too, okay? I told him he needed to stop being cruel, and that I probably would not have nagged so bad if he had just grown a pair and talked to me.” She beamed at the cowboil. “And I know you do not like him but you are my best friend so you must tolerate me as well when I say that we are dating now.”

Mot leaned his hands back in the glass, threading his long fingers through the gentle blades. Hearing her talk about Mac made him twist his lips in distatse, but he listened anyway. It was important to Hel, after all.
Mot whined, visibly deflating to hear her say she was official with Mac. "I suppose I should be happy for you. I still feel like he is wrong for you." He puffed a cheek, "But I am glad you have found some peace and confirmations. For that I am happy."
"I'm sure you will surpass your goal, Hel. Break that barrier like glass against a concrete wall."

Mot deflated, and Hel couldn’t help but laugh. “I acknowledge your feelings on this matter…but I do not need, or want, your confirmation or approval, but I am happy that you are happy for me for the peace of mind. I will also not convince you as to why it is not wrong, either…” She shrugged. “It is what it is, ya?”
At his bit of encouragement though, Hel was back to grinning widely. “Ya!” She cheered, and threw both of her hands into the air. “I think so too! Failure is not an option!” The reaper then flopped onto her back, and assumed the position. For crunches…but wait…
This was a prime chance to troll Mot.
Hel laid her hands above her head, and lidded her eyes. Her knees were touching, but she let her feet sprawl out to the sides. “Please be gentle with me, Mot.” She breathed. “This is my first time.” First time someone holding her feet while she did crunches.

Mot blushed, flinching away from Hel as she trolled him. "Do not say such things, Hel! It is vulgar!" He scolded with a frown, not sure if he should sit on her feet anymore.

Hel just laughed, kicking her feet up and down as well. “Ahhhhh, Mot!” She cried. “Come on now, this is me we are talking about! Though I do so love to make you blush, I would think you would get used to this by now, eh?” Hel was then a good ghoul…for now…and she got into the proper position. “Ahh, come on, Motty. Sit on my feet already!”
She laced her fingers behind her head, and waited. While waiting, she was also thinking. “…Neh, Mot? Would your ghoulfriend truly be upset if she heard half of the things I said to you?” Hel asked, genuinely curious.

Mot laughed, rubbing his head and letting it all slide. Hel was Hel. She was just trying to embarrass him. And succeeding. He sat down on her feet, holding her knees in place so that she could do a proper set of exercises.
"Maybe." he answered honestly. "But I choose my own company. I don't ask for the two of you to be in the same place at the same time, right? What you say to me is our own business." he smiled softly and shrugged. "I doubt you would let it bother you anyway if it made her cross."

Once Mot had her feet pinned…Hel started to do sit ups instead. She also unlinked her hands from around her head, and just held them off to the sides in fists as she pulled herself up, only to go back down again. She was honestly touched by the sincerity of his answer. “Ya, this is true.” Hel replied, her voice appearing close and further away as she did sit ups. “Ha! Ya! I would not be bothered if she was cross, but I would be bothered if she was cross and you were bothered by it!” The ghoul grinned.
“But I think I can see the other side too. I think…nah, I am fairly certain I would be cross if ghouls teased Mac like that.”

Mot chuckled. "Well, I will cross that bridge if and when it comes."
His chuckle became slightly dry at the mention of Mac, but he continued to smile none the less. "I have a feeling a lot of people have cross things to say of Mac. But ignorance is bliss, you know."

Hel just snorted, and then laughed. “Ya! I know!” She cried. “ I have a lot of cross things to say about him.” She snickered. “Ya, ignorance is bliss, I agree…though yanno, I am certain creeple have a lot of cross things to say about me as well.” Hel shrugged once she completed another sit up, before going back down again. “But though I do not hear a lot of it, even if I did, I would not care.” She replied. She knew Mac didn’t care either. “But ah, speaking of creeple saying things…” Hel sat back up, and was grinning widely. “ I heard Professor Red is your mentor now.”

Mot grinned, clearly elated and proud to be on his way to achieving his dreams. "She is! I approached her finally in regards to the steps to be taken to become a Boogeyman. To be honest, she frightened me, and I don't think she likes me very much at all." He chuckled sheepishly. "She still remembers the battle we had with her, and holds a grudge that I attacked her then. But regardless of all of that, she agreed to mentor me! Remi is also under her mentorship. I'm so excited!"

Hel grinned, clearly very elated and even more proud of the boil for going to Red on his own. As he said she might not like him though, Hel tilted her head, and looked puzzled briefly. As he went on to explain, Hel seemed to understand it a bit better, but was still confused. “…Uh…” Her lips twisted. “To hold a grudge…but…we had to, did we not? It was either us or her…survival is a cruel thing, ya but…” The reaper shrugged a bit. “I do not know…” Plus, Red seemed to be…okay…when she encountered the professor at the vending machine…Hrm. Now Hel felt the need to be on the look out for the professor, for Mot’s sake. She wasn’t going to let anyone do anything bad to Mot, professor or no. “Well, I am very glad she accepted you regardless…” Hel looked surprised about Remi. “Him too, huh? Interesting…” Because Remi was well… Remi.
