 Axel and Riorden had set up the perfect ambush. He'd wanted to harass that librarian again since the first time he'd snuck in his camp, but it'd been so hard to get to him again, since security had tightened up and his hubby was on the watch. But they plotted and planned, and now it was coming to fruition as he spotted Rillian flitting along the ground towards his hiding spot. As the bookworm passed his location, Axel pounced, attempting to take him violently to the ground. HP: 20

 HP: 16 Rillian was so excited! He was so distracted with his thoughts that he was caught utterly unaware by Axel's tackle. The dark fae librarian hit the ground hard and with a cry of pain. "Ah!" Rillian's head turned and he found himself looking at a familar face. "AH!" He yelled again, then lashed out with a elbow. "OFF! Get off get off get off!!"

Axel was so thrilled with how well he'd tackled the librarian he never saw the rather quick elbow that came back at him. There was a crack, and his head snapped to the side violently. He cricked his neck before slowly swiveling his head back toward his prey, a slow smile stretching across his features, even as blood poured from his nose. He was sure it was broken. "Oh...well done..." he comments nasally, though he doesn't relinquish his perch and tries to backhand the downed bookworm.

Rillian's features were a mask of panic and fear. He squirmed under Axel to try and pull himself out from under his attacker. Axel tried to backhand him, but Rillian snapped a arm up to block the blow. His red eyes were still wide as he glanced to the side. He saw Marcial and he gave a small cry. "Marc!" His attention returned to Axel as he tried to strike Axel in the throat with his other hand. "Get off me! Get off!"

Axel didn't look phased as his attack was blocked, but the force of the strike to his throat surprised him, and even though it didn't hurt, he suddenly couldn't breathe. He gargled a little bit, the playfulness vanishing from his features instantly. "Yer..gonna..regret that..." he gasps out finally, and he tries to stab his knife at Rill's kidney.

Rillian wasn't a warrior, so he didn't have anything to fight back with. His eyes widened when he saw the knife. He felt it sink into him and he gave a choke of pain. He flailed out with another smack at Axel. "Ah! Stop! Get off!!"

Axel was able to mostly dodge that smack. "Oh, I will," he replies with a leer. "...when I'm good'n'ready." He tries to twist the knife deeper into the bookworm's side, grinning.

Rillian's face twisted with pain when the dagger was twisted in the wound. He gave a cry of pain, his voice breaking as he frantically fisted his hands and proceeded to lash out at Axel. "Ahhh! That hurts!! Why won't you leave me alone!?"

Axel leaned in closer as Rillian cried in pain, but it was a mistake as he was suddenly knocked for a loop by the bookworm's fists. He wobbled and toppled off his pinned foe, realizing he was already wearing out. When had the nerd learned to hit this hard? He lashed out a foot at Rill before trying to get to his feet.

Rillian would never again feel like the lessons on how to fight were worthless and a waste of Marc's time. He saw Axel fall off him,a nd began to scramble up. He was bleeding heavily from the wound in his torso. Rill felt the kick, but tried to ignore the feeling as he lunged to pounce on top of Axel. "You need to leave me alone!" He said in a tense voice.

Axel huffed as he staggered to his feet. He caught part of Rill's pounce but didn't go down. Instead he pivoted and tried to stab him in the back. "You need to stay down," he growls.

Rillian should have known he couldn't knock Axel down. he was lighter then the other. He felt the blade enter his back, and he tossed back his head with a cry of pain. Rillian leaned against Axel and clung to him in order to stay on his feet. With a pained shudder he shook his head. "No..No..I w-won't." He scrambled in his pocket, and in his desperation grabbed one of his feathered quills to jab at Axel.

Axel grinned as the blade struck home, and he let Rill cling to him and reveled in his shuddering pain. Which meant he wasn't paying attention again, and is stabbed deeply in his thigh. It quickly numbs, the bookworm musta hit a nerve, and it buckles on Axel. Before he goes down, he tries to snap a headbutt at him from behind.

Rillian's eyes were filled with tears of pain. He was glad when Axel started to fall, and he pulled back from the cursed. In doing so he saved himself from being skull cracked. Rill's wings fluttered as he looked down at Axel. "L-leave..us alone." He stammered before attempting to knee Axel in the chin.

As much as Axel was annoyed with how the fight was rather one-sided, he always appreciated when his opponent could keep up. He knew he was going to lose, but he cracked a small smile at how much better the bookworm had fought than the last time. "Proud..of ya...bookworm..." he mumbles, before Rillian's knee snaps his head back violently, causing him to sag to the ground, a smile still etched on his face.
