It was dreadfully quite around the pride. No deadly boring! L'envoi stretched his legs in a brisk trot. He felt as thought he had to get out or he'd go mad with boredom. His familiar Lore had heartily agreed and so off they went. Hardly ever did he venture so far from the pride without being on the lookout for something. Even as he walked his eye and mind were taking note of what was around. It was hard to shake the habit.
He gave a laugh at himself. "Here I come out for a vacation and I'm still looking for things to collect." L'envoi gave a shake of his head. "I doubt that's really a good way to unwind." He turned his head slightly so he could glimps the yellow bird sitting on his back. For once she wasn't flying over head helping him look for things or acting a scout and guard.
An orange eye regarded the lion. Lore balanced easily on the broad back. L'envoi had a very easy gait and she wished she could ride more often. "Since we're out here just for the hell of it yeah that's kind of a worrying sign. Might be saying you do this too much?" She laughed. "However no one can say you slack at your job. So why don't you stop looking for things and look at things?"
She bobbed her head in a direction purposefully. Even without the advantage of height she could see something unusual in the land. "Like that green-yellow smear over there for instance?" Her ploy worked and the lion was distracted for the moment.
