This is a private RP between Unnr (Kaitaia) and Aizuri-e (Nymphalidae), plus Gyotaku the familiar.

 Aizuri-e's hair was just starting to dry as he relaxed on the beach, curling a little as he watched Gyotaku -- his celestial envoy -- play in the waves, and with a flex of his wings Aizuri-e was up on his feet again, heading back to the water. It was warmed slightly by the summer sun, and he dove down into it, chasing after Gyotaku through the water playfully. He was laughing by the time he resurfaced, tail swishing and wings flapping to keep himself afloat. "It seems to me like you're getting slower, Gyo," he teased, the otter swimming around to climb onto the back of Aizuri-e's neck.Gyotaku gave the stallion's ear a small pinch in retaliation for the insult, but he was grinning, too. "You think so because you cheated. You didn't warn me we were going to race, so you got a head start. Is that what I'm going to paint in your stories? Aizuri-e, the Great Cheater?" He went still, suddenly, able to see better with his perch on Aizuri-e's neck, noticing a shadow in the water moving close to them. "There's someone here with his," he whispered to the stallion in warning, not sure if whatever it was could be a friend or foe, and he held on to Aizuri-e's mane as he dipped back down under water to investigate.
