It was a pretty well known fact that Arian Laith had a sweet tooth, most people who knew him knew off it and the chocolate shop had proved an irresistible lure.

He'd been out buying beads, the packaged up beads that he'd picked up from the Garden dangling from his left hand as wandered the chocolate shop.

There was a range of things on offer - too many things on offer since he was having a serious problem picking just one thing to buy. He was wandering by the section with the marzipan treats lost in his thoughts, when the frustrated sound cued him into the fact that someone close by and even then he barely managed to avoid bumping into the other.

"Sorry about that" he said turning to look at the girl that he'd almost walked into. "Are you okay?"

"I'm glad" Arian said quietly at the girl's confirmation that she was okay, relieved that he hadn't hurt her. "And I'm sorry again for almost bumping into you."

He nodded at her comment about the sweets on display, it actually matching his own thoughts "I know that feeling" there was a rueful note in his quiet voice as he spoke, half turning as he did to indicate a couple of the many shelves containing chocolate sweets. "I was planning on getting some chocolate, but all the options on display look so good that I'm having trouble picking just one."

He looked back at her "I'm Arian by the way. Arian Laith."

"Nice to meet you Chiku" Arian said quietly in answer to her introduction, lips quirking up in a slight but friendly smile.

His gazed slipped to the nearby marzipan treats and in particular a set of marzipan frogs. "To be honest those look almost too pretty to eat" he admitted. Next his gaze strayed to a set of chocolate hens "And so do those to be honest, although..."

For a moment he thought things over, his thoughts echoing Chiku's words as he tried to think of a way to narrow down choice when everything looked so tasty.

The idea, when he finally lit on one was a random one "Although maybe we could help each other - one of us each pick something for the other." He absently tugged on the end of his braid as he spoke, the idea not one that he would have suggested if not for the fact that everything looked so delicious.

However given that everything did look so nice at least it meant if they both picked for the other that they had a chance of picking something tasty.

Another thought occurred to him and he added quietly "That is if you're okay with that - you don't have to if you don't want to."

Arian's lips quirked up into another slight smile at Chiku's enthusiastic response to his suggestion "Lets go with that then - us picking something out for each other and then perhaps meet back here in about" he thought about it for a moment "Will about five minutes do for you?"

Five minutes seemed fair to him - after all even though picking out something for Chiku would be a lot more fun than dithering over picking something for himself there was still a lot of stuff to look at and Arian didn't want to have to rush-pick something.

Arian shook his head "No, no allergies on my part" he said quietly. "You?"

He waited for her answer before continuing "I'll meet you back here in 5 minutes then" and slipped off to search through for something that he thought that Chiku would like.

Even looking for someone else rather than himself, it was still difficult to pick something out of the variety of tasty treats on offer but eventually it was the panda cookies, cleverly made up with the use of white and milk chocolate, that caught his eyes.

He reached for one of the wrapped boxes and headed back to their agreed on meeting point.

It had taken all of the five minutes for him to find something.

"I found something for you too" Arian said with a small smile as he took the offered box and held out his in turn. "I hope you like it."

He waited for Chiku to take the offered box, before looking at what she had picked for him, his smile widening a tad as he saw the chocolate and peanut bark "It's a great choice, thank you" he said quietly, before admitting "It's been such an age since I've had this."

He waited to see what she thought of his choice, hoping that she liked it as well.

Arian couldn't help but feel a little nervous as Chiku took the box that he held out to her, a part of him hoping that he'd managed to pick put something that she'd like.

He'd gone for chocolate - because you couldn't go wrong with chocolate - at least he was hoping that was the case...

And well the cookies had looked pretty neat - at least to his way of thinking.

Chiku didn't leave him suspense long however, the excited sound cluing him into the fact that he seemed to have been successful in his choice, before her words confirmed it.

Her enthusiasm was somewhat infectious and whilst Arian wasn't nearly as exuberant, he did return her grin with another small smile of his own as he nodded in agreement "Definitely."
