 Nestled slightly on the outskirts of housing district in a more privately owned area is the house of the Yukimura Clan. If you are looking for either Ozin or Daichi, you're best bet is to go to the hospital and search there, however the rest of the lovely ladies of the Yukimura clan are usually home if not off training or on a mission. The house smells of home baked goods and sweets as Mizuki loved to cook (though be careful! She loves cooking so much that she often makes more than the family can consume so you'll likely be leaving with a bag or two full of food if you enter here.) There is an atmosphere of warmth and compassion that seems to gently waft over the area and gives you an immediate feeling that you are more than welcome to stay here... just so long as you don't cause troubles! Miss Yukimura may not look like it but she has fierce fighting spirit and can swing a frying pan better than anyone in the village~!

Kori was coming along for something to eat, but that was neither here nor there.) When they got to the door Yuzuki looked over at Kori and offered a tired smile. "Thanks for coming with me, Kori I really app-"
"Yuzuki~! heart "
Yuzuki was cut off by a more mature woman who threw the door open and quickly snatched Yuzuki into a tight hug, this woman was clearly overjoyed to see Yuzuki again and she was being rather... affectionate about it...
"Oh Yuzuki! I was so worried when the village was attacked and you didn't come home right away. You weren't caught up in it were you? Are you hurt? Are you okay? Can Mommy do anything for you?"
"Mommy can stop squeezing so tightly so that Yuzuki can breath!" Came the reply from a rather red-faced Yuzuki who was far too tired to struggle against such motherly affection that was directed at her. If there was ever a weakness that no shinobi could over come... it was the warmth and tenderness of a mother. The woman let go of Yuzuki and looked up at Kori with a gentle smile.
"Who is you're friend, sweety?"
Yuzuki straightened herself up a bit before answering. "This is Kori Shirayuki, she's one third of my team."
"Oh? Well in that case why don't you come in and make yourself at home for a little bit? I imagine that you could use a break from all the excitement that's been happening at the village lately. Please, come in, just take you're shoes off at the door and put you weapons and ninja tools in one of the shelves beside the inside of the door and to your right. Hmm... I wonder if I have any monster cookies left?..."
Yuzuki gave something of a wicked grin at Kori. "Prepare to gain ten pounds. No need to be shy either, come on in."

A cold breeze just rolled in.....
Kori made sure Yuzuki was ok to stand before letting her go. Thankfully, she didn't have to wait too long before her friend was swept up by a rather attractive woman who embraced Yuzuki very warmly, something Kori was unused to seeing. The woman began to fret over Yuzuki like a mother bird over her chick. Kori just stared. She wasn't accustomed at all to this sort of behavior. Her parents had always kept her at arms length, even her mother. Her sister was her only real family, but even their contact was gentle, not this sort.
When she was noticed, Kori snapped out of her daze and bowed in respect. "Nice to meet you, ma'am." She nodded and hastened to remove her tools and shoes and set them in the right spots. When her mother turned around, Kori gave Yuzuki a narrow-eyed look. "Mommy?", she said sarcastically.

Yuzuki shrugged her shoulders at Kori and her sarcastic tone. ”Sometimes you need to humour the woman that brought you into the world-”
”-because she can take you out of the world just as easily~!” Yuzuki’s mom replied from the kitchen. Yuzuki place her left hand on her hip, her right arm extended to the directions with the voice came from, her fingers outstretched and her palms up, a big smile spread across her face as her eyes closed. Visually confirming that her mom knew what she was talking about. Yuzuki lead her friend to the living room where Yuzuki kicked her feet up and relaxed into the sofa, it felt nice to sit back and relax after what she went though. It wasn’t too long before Mizuki came into the living room with a tray of large assortment of cookies and some ice tea for the two young ladies. Mizuki looked over at Yuzuki while placing her fists on her hips, she had a slightly worried look on her face as she brought her hand up to cover Yuzuki’s forehead.
”Are you feeling okay honey? You’re looking a little… off… for some reason.” Mizuki took her hand off of Yuzuki’s forehead and placed it on her own. After a few moments she looked down at her daughter. ”Well, you feel a touch warm but nothing serious. I’ll be in the kitchen getting dinner ready if you need me, alright?”
”Sure, thanks Mom.” Yuzuki replied before she took up her ice tea and a cookie that seemed to have come fresh out of the oven with how warm it was. This was the best time to have them, Yuzuki looked up at Kori. ”Help yourself… we have plenty so don’t be shy.”
Yuzuki leaned back again and after a sip of her drink she was about to set it on a small side table when Mizuki’s voice called out from the kitchen. ”You’d better have a coaster under that, Yuzuki!” Yuzuki paused before she moved the cup and placing it on a coaster before moving it closer to her, Yuzuki always wondered how her mom did that… it was like she was psychic or something…
It was about that time that the door open and a slightly older girl than Yuzuki came in, she took off her shoes and placed her pouch of ninja tools in a slot. ”Hey mom, I’m home.”
”Welcome back, Nori. Did your mission go alright?
”We got called back after the attack happened, but we did a successful mission.” Noriko looked around over her shoulder after she dropped her armour off at the door and set it outside to air out, Yuzuki’s older sister was wearing some short shorts and a tank top under her armour so that she was able to relax as soon as she came into the door. Nori’s eyes lit up and she gave a toothy grin at Yuzuki and her friend. ”Hey Yu-Yu! Glad to see you’re alright, who’s you’re friend?” Nori ignored the glare that Yuzuki shot her when she mentioned her ‘nickname’. Yuzuki hated that nickname, she bristled every time she heard it. Her glare was cut short when a hand fell on Yuzuki’s head and ruffled her hair, tasseling her hair in all directions much to Yuzuki’s annoyance. Nori’s other arm reached over and took a cookie that was on the tray before placing her forearms on Yuzuki’s shoulders.
”First of all don’t call me that! Second, yes I’m alright thanks for asking and third… mind geeting you boobs off of the back of my head? Fourth: This is Kori, she’s one third of my team.” Yuzuki responded with a level of annoyance that one could only reserve for their sister.”Oh you know you love it~!” Nori replied and pressed her chest further into the back of Yuzuki’s head, causing Yuzuki’s eyebrow to twitch slightly. Nori seemed to take no notice or interest with Yuzuki’s annoyance and instead placed her elbow on top of her younger sisters head while resting her chin in palm.
”Gosh you look familiar… you wouldn’t happen to be related to a Furi Shirayuki would you?” Nori asked. Yuzuki’s eyebrows raised and brought her drink over to take a drink of her ice tea while her sister and her friend converse. Yuzuki then brought her fingers to her lips and slipped an ice cube out of her mouth, closed one eye and then tossed it up and backwards. Too distracted with the conversation with Kori, Noriko didn’t notice the ice cube go down and in between the middle of her shirt. ”Hey, it’s great that you’re in a squad with my little sister, she can be moody but s-EEEEEE~!Nori was cut off midsentence with a slight shriek as the ice cube nestled itself in between her cleavage, she straightened up and shoved her hand down the middle of her shirt trying to fish the ice cube out.
”Dammit Yuzuki, I’m going to KILL you!!”
”I told you to get you’re boobs off the back of my head!”
”There will be no killing each other under this roof ladies! Nori! We have guest, watch your language and Yuzuki, stop provoking your sister!””She started it!” ”Yeah? And I’m going to finish it too, Yu-Yu!”
”Bring it on Blonde” Yuzuki stood up and placed her foot on the back of the couch while the two rival siblings glared lightning at each other. Clearly a fight was going to break out.
”Do I have to bring out The Law, girls?” Yuzuki and Nori lost all color in their faces at the mention of ‘The Law’ Muzuki leaned her head over to peak past the wall with a rather ominous look on her face only to find that Yuzuki and Nori had their arms around each other and holding hands in an almost sickly sweet manner.
”Nope, no Law required Mother dearest!”
”Nope, we’re, like… BFFs forever~!” Mizuki raised her eyebrows sceptically before slowly returning her head from around the corner, only to have Yuzuki and Nori pick up where they left off, she quickly poked her head around the corner again to catch them in the act only to see once more that they were holding hands and getting along. A sweet smile that at the same time held something terrifying behind it crossed Mizuki’s face. ”That’s great you two, sisters should get along with each other.””Yes Mom…” The sisters said in unison, their mother then came around the corner and sat down on the couch, separating the two sisters on either side of her. Nori went back to trying to fish the ice cube out of her top. ”So, Kori, how do you like being a shinobi so far? Is this your first time in a squad as well?” Yuzuki’s mother asked, showing genuine curiosity for the young woman right in front of her.

A cold breeze just rolled in.....
Kori jumped when Yuzuki's mother finished her daughter's sentence. That was creepy and unexpected. How did she do that?
She followed Yuzuki into the living room and sat down on a comfy chair across from Yuzuki's couch. She tucked in to the tea, and began to work on a few of the cookies while Mizuki fretted over her daughter. She jumped again when Mizuki called from the kitchen again. Seriously! Was her mother gifted with some sort of powerful xray vision or did she just have a sixth sense?
Some clattering at the door gained her attention and she noticed another girl with large assets. She glanced back to Yuzuki for a moment and looked her over quickly. Looks like this must run in the family....
Yuzuki received another look from Kori at the mention of "Yu-yu", this time with a smirk. Kori would remember that one for later. She watched as the sisters interacted with each other and she nodded towards Nori when she was introduced. "Nice to meet you. And yes, that's my older sister. You know her?" Kori watched Yuzuki take advantage of her sister's geology out of her peripherals as Noriko talked and smiled lightly, waiting of the inevitable result. She giggled as she watched the two begin to glare at each other as she remembered a few fights with her sister that were similar to this.
When "The Law" was mentioned and the two reacted in such a manner, Kori was perplexed, wondering what that referred to. She'd have to ask Yuzuki later if it never came up again.
When Mizuki came into the living room and separated her daughters, Kori went back to her tea, enjoying its flavor. She always did like tea. She answered Mizuki in between sips. "I like it. Helps me get away from home for a while and learn some new things. This is my first time being in a squad, but I'm glad I got paired up with your daughter." She paused for a moment and her eyes went to the floor. Yuzuki was one of the few friends she had, and she was extremely glad that she and Yuichi had found her again.

Noriko was still searching for the melting ice cube that was still down her shirt. Her cheek puffed out, spare a moment when she looked over at Kori and smiled at her before turning back to what she was doing.”Yeah, Furi and I work together on occasion. She seems really interested that I can fuse elements to create an Ice release. Dammit Yuzuki, I’m so going to cream you when I have the chance!”
”Awww~? Is the ice cube lost in the Grand Cannon?” Yuzuki taunted, sticking out her tongue at her older sister. Mizuki sighed before grasping Nori’s wrist and pulling her hand out of her shirt, she guided her daughters hands to either side of her chest and pushed together. Nori, confused just held her position as Yuzuki watched with some level of amusement and wonder as to what her mom was doing. Suddenly and without warning, Mizuki slapped the bottom of Nori’s bosom causing her to yelp with surprise, and what was left of the ice cube shot out and into the air where Mizuki caught it and then flicked it over to a nearby plant where it would do no further harm. Yuzuki just stared wide eyed at the display while Nori was also frozen as she took in what the hell just happened. Yuzuki’s mom turned her full attention back to Kori, tilting her head and smiling at her.
”Well, I’m also glad that my daughter has such a fine young woman on her team to learn from. I hope you two get along.” The comment about getting away from home wasn’t lost on the Matriarch and her smile lessened in intensity though gained softness in its place. ”Having some troubles at home, are you dear?” Yuzuki relaxed in the sofa, the kidnapping seemed to be starting to catch up with her and now that she was in a safe environment again she was starting to relax. Nori looked over at her family with gentle smile of her own. This family was tightly knit, anyone could see that. Mizuki refreshed Kori’s drink.
”I know that its none of my business, but if you need a place to stay for a while, you’re always welcomed here.” Mizuki paused for a moment before taking up a cookie of her own and nibbling on it. ”But then again, you didn’t come here to be lectured by a Mother, I’m sure, tell me more about yourself dear. I would love to understand more about Yuzuki’s team mates, she is my baby after all.”
Yuzuki gave an annoyed, soft growl at the mention of Yuzuki being ‘her baby’. It was hard to tell if Mizuki was just being curious or being a little over protective of her children and wanting to make sure that Yuzuki was in good hands. Kori nodded in interest. Knowing her sister, Furi was probably studying he, trying to figure out how to better use her own Ice Release. The clan had their own secret techniques but there were others who could use the Ice release, and it was always good to add to your arsenal.
Kori watched in fascination as Mizuki helped her daughter with her ice problem. Kori blinked as Mizuki returned her attention to her without so much as a blink. This woman was magic, she was sure.
When Mizuki addressed her comment about home, Kori looked down at her cookie, her thoughts leaving the room. Her smile dropped as she thought of her father. "My father and I.......do not agree with each other....on many things. Our position in the Yuki clan is tedious and my sister and I are looked upon by the elders as......." She stopped herself, taking a deep breath."......the "future" of our clan's prosperity. My father agrees with them and bothers my sister and I with the idea of marriage." Her eyes were stormy as she remembered some of the things her father had suggested to her and Furi. She took deep breaths and let go of her anger for the moment. She was in her friend's house after all.
She bowed her head in apology. "Sorry, I did not mean to bore you in my family issues."

Mizuki smiled, bringing her hand up to her lips in a loose fist. ”I think that all households have that from time to time, sometimes, parents get so caught up in what they think is best for their children that they forget –or perhaps don’t think- of their child’s feelings. Mizuki lowered her hand and looked over at Yuzuki who was nodding off, poor thing wasn’t able to keep her eyes open. She looked over at Kori again, she didn’t know how much longer her daughter was going to be awake and able to entertain, so it looked like she was going to be the entertainer till their guest had finished her cookies and tea. ”Try not to take things too seriously dear, and don’t worry about the future right away. Just enjoy the here and now, making new memories you can look back on and smile at when things get tough is the best way to prepare for the future. You’re still so young right now, the world is still so fresh and exciting for you, don’t let old people and tradition get in the way of adventures and fun memories. For right now, just live life to the fullest and make sure you mess up along the way… and when you do, hold your head high when making those mistakes. Learning from them will make you stronger and wiser.” A sudden weight came on her shoulder and she looked down at Yuzuki’s sleeping face with a gentle, motherly look. Most people would consider Yuzuki an utter failure, even members of their own family thought that, but Mizuki was genuinely proud of Yuzuki, even if others were not. She looked over at Kori again, raising her hand and placing her hand on her daughters head, stroking her hair gently and soothingly. ”I hope that you and Yuzuki will make those memories with each other and the other members of your team, I also hope that you will reach out to other people in the village to create those bonds and cherished memories. Kori listened carefully, absorbing the woman's wisdom. She looked over at her friend for a moment when Mizuki did, smiling as she did so. She was glad Yuzuki was doing better and getting some rest. She finished her cookie and her tea and returned her focus to the mature woman in front of her. She had a point, Kori thought. Maybe she was holding an old grudge against her father. After all, she had set aside her differences with Yuichi not too long ago for Yuzuki. Why couldn't she do that with her family?
A tear slid down Kori's face and she blinked, unsure of what had just happened. "Huh? I...." She fell silent as she brushed away the tear with her sleeve. "I can do that, Mizuki." Her face turned red from some slight embarrassment and she bowed her head. "And thank you. I think I needed that."

Mizuki offered Kori some more tea, if she accepted it the Yukimura family would make sure to do their best to entertain the young girl as best they could even though poor Yuzuki was out like a light. Mizuki placed her hand on Nori’s shoulder than pointed at a blanket not far off, the elder daughter fetched the blanket and Mizuki wrapped her youngest daughter in it. She smiled over to Kori as she thanked her with a bow. Mizuki raised her hand and waved at her a little dismissively. ”There is no need to be so formal with me hon, just treat me like you would any other friend. But you’re welcome. I’m glad that I can pass on some wisdom at least. I hope that you settle things and can make some level of peace in your household again. Sometimes it can take some time to repair a strained relationship, so… if you ever need a place to stay for a while you’re always welcome here.” If Kori wanted to go home, then Nori would walk her home. If she wanted to stay she would likely find herself in the company of Nori while Mizuki get Yuzuki to bed and worked on dinner. Thoughts: ... Feelings: Zzzzz Theme music: Zen Killer

Kori remained sitting, accepting more tea. She started to bow her head again, but stopped herself. "Thank you Mizuki. I'll keep that in mind."
When she finished up her cup, she stood up and looked over at Yuzuki's sleeping form. "Let her know if she needs anything, I can be here in a flash." With that said, she headed toward the door. It was time to head home herself and rest up. Maybe even address her family while she was at it. Mizuki's words were still ringing in her head.

In the darkness of her dreams, there was the oddest sensation. As if she were in a field of tall grass being watched. Try as she might, the more she looked around the more eerie the sensation would become and find not her onlooker. The darkness continued to grow darker and thicker until there was a collective gasp. Suddenly a deafening silence overcame her senses, in that moment she would realize that all the night life of the typical wilderness had ceased, though she hadn't heard it before, their absence was starkly apparent. There was a roar that would send true bone chilling terror through the entire being on a primordial level. The worst feeling, is that this dreadful nightmare was inescapable.

It was soon after Kori left that Mizuki brought her daughter into her bedroom and lay her down for a more comfortable sleep, though Yuzuki would have a far from comfortable sleep as nightmares seemed to dog at her heels. A deep sense of paranoia gripped Yuzuki as she looked around in the field that was in her surroundings. She felt vulnerable being out in the open like this and looking around to the inky blackness did nothing to ease such a feeling either, normally she would be fascinated by this sort of thing and try and draw in inspiration from this so that she could use it in her genjutsu… this time however, things felt very different and she knew immediately knew that something was wrong her brain struggled to find a way to escape what this thing was that was staking her in her dreams.
There was something familiar about this feeling though.
Yuzuki couldn’t quite make out where she felt it though, it seemed that she should have remembered this feeling but she couldn’t quite put her finger on it. Instead, she chose to use her instincts to get away from this ominous presence that bore down on her. She started to walk towards where the feeling was weakest, though weakest might be a bit of an exaggeration. She started to walk, walking and walking only to seem to get nowhere, the distance wasn’t getting any closer and it was like she was walking on treadmill or something. The presence just seemed to be keeping up with her. It wasn’t until she heard the howling of a jungle cat that she remembered where she felt this presence before. It was that fire cat that she fought earlier… but that was just a genjutsu right? She would have been killed if it was the real thing. Yuzuki paused, trembling for a moment before she slowly turned around to see if she could see the Azure flamed cat. The same color flame that she herself wielded with her fire style attacks, she tried not to think much more about the subject, though there was no escaping the fact that this primordial feeling was the same as earlier today. She didn’t want to, she had no desire to see that five story tall terror again, but it was one of those things that she had to confirm with herself. Despite the cold sweat that trickled down her face and neck she just had to see, she gave a nervous chuckle to herself despite the situation. How many horror novels and movies did she come across where the protagonist would find himself in a situation where knowing what was really there would drive them frothing mad? It was too many, that was for damn sure. Yuzuki fought to swallow that lump in the back of her throat as she forced herself to slowly turn around and look into the darkest of the dark spaces, trying to see if her hunch was correct.
Granted, she didn’t know if she wanted to see what was stalking her, but she was going to force herself to do it anyway. What was that old saying? If you stare into the Abyss long enough, the Abyss stares back into you? Well, it looked as though she was going to be staring into the Abyss for a while. Hopefully the Abyss though of her as a beautiful girl to fall in love with and not some midnight snack… Thoughts: I need to lay off the Horror movies for a while. =_= Feelings: Gathering the courage to face my fears...
