 As the days ticked by the female had steadily become bigger and bigger. It was getting to the point where the doubt of whether or not she was just fat, could no longer exist. Still, she avoided her Father as much as possible. Which was rather easy as the demonic was oddly involved in some sort of project. Some times he went out for hours on end, coming back tired and weak. Training for sure. Others he holed up in his room and there was where the mystery was. She'd chalk it up to reading if the male had brought any books from their little 'library' in the main room with him to his chambers. Instead curiously, he brought pieces of wood, vines, and various stone tools they had created. With the thought of her father, she peeked down the long corridor where he continued with his project. I should really tell him... If she waited much longer she would have a baby to show him personally. She moved back into the kitchen to where she was fixing herself a deer meat sandwich. Raken had also done more hunting than usual, hanging the hides outside of the house to dry. Perfect timing really as she needed to eat twice the amount she usually did. She rubbed her swollen stomach lovingly. Yes, yes, I know you're hungry.

 Azure had been in a sweat every time he turned a corner in their cave. The male wondered how long they could really hide this from Raken... aka how much longer he had to live. It was difficult to make preparations for the coming child when they were harboring this lie as well. They were going to have to move to the city soon if they were going to do it, so they might have enough time As he rounded the corner into the kitchen Azure breathed a sigh of relief that it was only Dyas in there. He smiled as he came up behind her. Checking behind his shoulder to make sure Raken wasn't behind him, Azure wrapped his arms around Dyas' waist, resting his hands gently on her stomach. "How are you feeling today?" Azure whispered in her ear.

She had spooked Azure, but the male had surprised her. Completely engrossed in her sandwich making, she didn't notice the other until he was right on her. The female ended up jumping a little as soon as he touched her. Azure! It's Azure. If she wasn't a mute, the hybrid would have laughed. Instead she settled on a wide grin and planted a kiss onto his cheek. After the initial morning sickness, things had evened out and she actually felt...good. Dyas was glowing. She laid her hands over his own just in time for her stomach to give a little kick. Their little surprise was beginning to really develop. The thought made her ecstatic and anxious at the same time. Soon, they would have a real baby. That was when life would change for them forever.

Azure's eyes widened when he realized he had frightened Dyas, he hadn't meant to do that. He was about to apologize when he felt the baby kick. His grin grew super wide. "Hey!" Azure exclaimed, excited that he had gotten to feel one of the tiny earthquakes. "Don't start beating up on your old man already." He teased. "Well it looks like you feel good, mom." Azure whispered all of this quietly, not wanting to be overheard in a cave where voices carried easily. "I can finish making this for you Dyas, maybe you should sit down?" It was difficult for Azure to not coddle Dyas. He worried about her and the baby all the time. He had even stalled going back to the temple after finding out about the pregnancy, now was not the time to leave Dyas alone.

Dyas was so...so happy it was strange. Was it because of her out-of-control hormones? Or was it because of the thought of being a mother? Despite how crazy the situation was, she felt complete. There was an evolutional need to reproduce, and she was fulfilling it. She lightly tapped his nose at him offering to make her sandwich. His coddling was cute, but she was still self-sufficient. Pregnant or not. The female pulled off a piece of deer to bring it up to the males mouth if he wanted a bite. It was delicious. Unbeknownst to Raken, the male walked out of his bedroom to head towards the kitchen. He had been working all day and had worked up quite the appetite. It's a good thing I grabbed cotton the other day... His meeting with Kaiden still lingered in his head.

Azure's mouth gaped at Dyas as she bopped him on the nose. "Oh come on, Dyas." He smiled at her teasingly as he accepted the bite of deer. "Mmmm tas ghoood." Azure spoke as he chewed on the piece of meet. "I know you can do these things... but can't I help because I love you and want to show you that?" Azure asked her as he pulled back and leaned on a wall to allow Dyas to finish the sandwich. "I'm really excited Dyas... soon?" He asked her. The male had no idea how long these things took, but his mate was starting to look bigger and the bigger she got, the more the anticipation grew.

She understood his love perfectly, and it made her smile all the more. He was such a sweet pae. The female continued her sandwich making, every so often taking a piece of deer into her own mouth. She was so hungry of late, doubling her caloric intake. At his question, she looked over her shoulder at him before looking down at her stomach. It wasn't like she had ever seen another pregnant pae. She shrugged but smiled hopefully at him. Perhaps, soon. After all, the baby was now developed enough to kick.
As he closed in on the kitchen, he heard a voice drift through. He was still a little ways down and the voice was quiet, so he couldn't hear what was said. But it was enough to know that he wouldn't be alone in his quest for food. Which meant, another awkward meeting with Azure. Raken sighed as he shook his head. Ever since he found out they were married, it had changed everything. It left him feeling unsure of how to approach the other since he was now a permanent installment in his daughters life. He turned into the kitchen. "Azure...Dyas." He greeted the male promptly, but the female had come as a surprise. Truthfully, he hadn't seen much of his quiet child the past few days so didn't expect to see her now. And her stomach...was huge. His eyebrows shot up but he said nothing, wondering if either were going to comment for him.

Azure blinked, shut his mouth, and turned around at the sound of Raken's voice. "Raken," Azure acknowledged him. He still had to find the nerve to ask the other male to help him train. It was something Azure was sure he would gladly do, considering it was an opportunity to beat him up without reprimand from Dyas. Azure gave a light smile, the lie just made being around Raken more uncomfortable for the blue boy. Azure had said enough to Raken to get him into trouble, so he wasn't going to be the one to break this news. It was better that Azure kept his mouth shut around Raken after what came out of his mouth last time he had opened it.

She instantly froze when she heard her fathers voice, very slowly turning her head to look at him. Her mind went blank as she simply stared. This was the biggest he had ever seen her, and there was no way she could simply say she was fat. Gaining that much weight, in just her stomach, in such a short time? He would never buy that. The female avoided using her power now as much as possible as it rapidly drained her of late. But she could still fall back on her tried and true body language. With a big inhale, she walked towards Raken and reached out to take his hand. He didn't resist, allowing the female to put the appendage onto her stomach. As if on cue, her little baby gave another kick.
Were they really not going to say anything? Both pae simply stared at him in awkward silence. He parted his lips to comment on it when Dyas started walking to him. What is she... Very quickly that became apparent. She took his hand and put it on her stomach, letting him feel the baby within move. And no doubt to much surprise, the male smiled, almost warmly. "...I know Dyas. I've known." He looked to Azure pointedly, wanting to see his reaction most of all. "I just finished making a crib for the new arrival. Honestly. I've been through this before with Dyas' mother. Did you think I wouldn't notice her sudden weight gain?" The demonic took his hand back to cross his arms. "...Or the bottle that mysteriously appeared after Tristen's arrival which you both neglected to throw away?" Tip 1: Tristen, the most love obsessed pae he knew, randomly appeared. Tip 2: A bottle which they never have stocked materialized right after his visit. Tip 3: A suddenly very secretive, plump daughter. It didn't take a genius to figure it out, and he was an above-average intelligent pae.

Azure was silent and blushing as Dyas demonstrated for Raken the other secret they were hiding. The first secret being that they weren't really married. His eyes didn't display any sort of shock when Raken said he knew. It was why Azure had been so jumpy around every corner lately, it was only a matter of time before Dyas' father would figure it out on his own. As Raken continued, Azure did start to show surprise, Raken had been keeping a secret of his own, hiding that he knew about the pregnancy and building a crib. What else did her father know? Azure couldn't believe that Raken was helping them to prepare for their child. He glanced at Dyas, before looking back at Raken. "Thank you..." he said humbly.

Her eyes widened considerable at Rakens admission, taken off guard. She should have known they had kept the secret too long. He had been working on the project for...days. Meaning he had known for that long. The hybrid flushed with embarrassment and she met Azure's eyes briefly. She didn't give her father enough credit it seemed, and it painted them both fools. His kind actions were not lost on her, but she knew all too well he was no doubt at least irritated. He'd never show it, if anything his words held a certain mirth. But she knew. He was trying to make light of the situation, probably for her.
"I'd ask why you took so long to tell me, but that would be useless. I already know." He moved to lean against the wall, crossing his arms over his chest. "Your welcome. I don't know how much you two have prepared, but a good bed is always needed. Do you two have any idea how many?" Out of the corner of his eye he caught Dyas' eyebrows raised. For her at least, she obviously hadn't given that any thought. He sighed. I should have prepared her better for this... Instead his line of defense had been keeping her from romantic relationships. "After all, Dyas is a twin. She has twin cousins. They are not uncommon."

Azure stood himself straight again, and stepped closer to Dyas. He was just too much in the hole now, he needed to fix all of the trouble he had caused for Dyas especially. The male wondered what on Telrunya Raken thought was the reason behind them not telling. Azure wasn't going to tell Raken how little prepared he was, that was the last thing that Raken needed to here. Azure was just going to have to get on top of the preparations, much easier now that it wasn't a secret. Azure had not thought about how many babies, he assumed one. After all he didn't have a sibling as far as he knew, and his adopted sister, Trager, had been on her own... thought she did have two boys. Azure looked at Dyas... she had been the one feeling the kicks... how many did she think they were going to have. "Uh..." Azure sighed, this was not looking good for him.

How...many? That was something she had never considered. WHY had she never considered that?! Her Fathers obvious superiority of intellect was making her look like a child. The only consolation was his advantage of age an experience. He had gone through this before, while this was new to her. The female shrugged guiltily, her eyes moving to the floor to not meet anyone's gaze. How was she even to determine how many she was going to have? Perhaps she should have made a trip to the healers...maybe the would have had answers for her.
He should have known. The male sighed deeply, looking at the clueless couple. They really had no idea what was in store for them. They were unprepared, and didn't even know what they didn't know. They were floundering. "Okay...My philosophy has always been to prepare for the worst, and all of your surprises then would be good. We'll need to construct a second bed, thus having a spare if there's only one. You need to make toys that would work for a boy or girl. No dolls or the like. But things like blocks. We'll need to construct fences of sorts to block the baby from getting into more dangerous sections of the cave. And diapers. We will need...many, many diapers."
