When you walk for a long time it seems as if every step starts to make your paws feel more and more heavy. It gets to the point where your feet and legs stop hurting but if you stop for any amount of time they are going to burn. You also start to feel as if you've been everywhere but no where. And when you're looking for something, that something seems to never be found.

That's where Imoo was at his point in his journey. He really didn't have anything else in life except for this journey honestly. His father purposely had a fling to have cubs that could kill his brother. His father picked him to train every day of his life. And his father picked him to send him off on a journey to kill his uncle that he had never even met. He had an idea of what the male looked like. Imoo grew up with some of his cousins. And he was told what he looks like, but that was it. He had no clue where the uncle lived or where he was to find him. But he was wandering.

He felt like he had seen every pride the entire world had to offer and he had met every creature he could. No uncle. He was starting to get tired of this wandering. He was starting to get fed up with this mission. What good did it have for him? His father's love. And to a point that was all he cared about. He wanted to make his dad proud and he wanted his dad to love him and appreciate him and he didn't want to let him down. He was starting to get more and more doubtful about the situation and also more and more frustrated.

But he kept walking for some reason. There was something in him that just couldn't let him stop and relax and enjoy some kind of other life. His father wouldn't know. Did his father even know he was alive anymore? He wasn't sure but he kept going.

User ImageNafasi wasn't entirely sure if her pilgrimage was meant to take as long as this, but... she had yet to find her name, and thus had not yet returned to the swamp lands. She figured that was okay, given that she'd heard as much tale of people that made it back soon as those that took ages to come back to their home lands.

As such, the young lioness wasn't exactly bothered by her tardiness; if she was still out here, it meant there was more for her to do, that she hadn't yet learned her lesson, whatever it might be. The journey simply wasn't over yet and... she was actually okay with that.

The rogue lands weren't as accommodating as her pride, granted, but they were still lovely, and she'd learned a thing or two about stealth, team work (she had actually joined a group of rogues or two in taking down larger prey), and proverbial 'street smarts', per se.

All in all, Nasafi was content with her life, as it should be!

Unfortunately, she was well aware this was not the case with everyone she saw in the rogue lands. In fact, one such individual was padding her way, as she lay quietly under the shade of a tree, waiting for the heat to give in so she could set out and find herself a nice meal, "You look like you could use a friendly ear," she told Imoo as he approached; she wasn't even sure he'd seen her, in all honestly, "Something's very obviously eating at you," a pause, "Aren't you tired? And hot? I thought everyone was asleep, or at least resting, at this time of day," she wrinkled her nose cutely, "Can't even hunt like this. I wish it were dark," she was chatting without even waiting for an answer.... chatting even though she didn't know him, didn't know his name

Her friendly nature had both won her friends in the rogue lands... and gotten her into trouble more than once, "What's your name? I'm Nasafi. Though... that may change soon. I'm on a journey," she told him, "To find my name. My real name."

He really hadn't ran into many others on this 'adventure'. Or at least not lately and many of the others that he had ran into kind of just were the kind to pass by and keep walking. He hadn't run into the same kind of kindness that the lioness ran into. He hadn't met a horrible part of the rogue lands, but he didn't really have an out reach for strangers until now that is. Honestly he wasn't expecting another so much that when he heard a voice speak out to him he was confused. He saw the lioness and now he heard the lioness and its seemed like he was speaking to him. He started to slow, but it was... slowly. He almost forgot how to slow down, he forgot how to get his legs to stop moving. But the started to and he slowed to a stop.

As he stopped he listened to what she was saying, staring forward and thinking to himself. This lioness was right. He did want a friendly voice, he think he did anyway. His brows furrowed and he started to try to figure out how to figure out his words. Did he know how to speak anymore. He wasn't that sure really. He lost his words. He hadn't spoken to anyone in so long.

He turned, a confused look was still probably plastered on his face. "Ansafi." He repeated but then paused thinking a little before speaking, he was supposed to introduce himself. "My name is Imoo Jari." He said simply offering her a small bow. "I'm extremely tired and how, but I have an adventure I'm going on myself." He said simply, his voice was gruff and he was trying not to be rude but he kind of couldn't help it. He didn't really know how to... be polite

User ImageNasafi eyed the male as he approached; she watched the confusion sweep over him, the way his movements seemed to border on hesitation, and she decided he'd not met many-a-friendly faces before. Someone that reacted like that to a friendly voice could not have had many good interactions in their past, "Yup!" she chirped as he spoke, "That's my current name, alright! Still trying to find my real one, so we're just gonna go with that one for now, m'okay?" she tilted her head as he introduced himself, almost as if he'd never done so in his life, and that notion got her thinking.

What sort of lion was this, anyhow?

He didn't seem to be a threat; at least not for the current moment. In fact, he was hesitant, as if he didn't quite believe she was talking to him, "Let's go with Moo for you, kay? Sound nice," she grinned as she scooted over on her patch of shade, an obvious, but silent invitation to join her, "If you're extremely tired, you should rest. The adventure's not going anywhere! It'll still be there after you've rested your paws and the sun's heat has dwindled down, don't you think?" she patted the shaded spot beside her, just in case he was thick enough he didn't realize realize she was inviting him to rest with her, "And maybe later, we could take down larger game together. I've found hunting works a heck of a lot better when I've got a companion or two to take down bigger prey with, eh? Then we can just go on with our respective adventures; you to... whatever it is you're doing, and me to go find that sneakily elusive name of mine," she mock gasped slightly, "Or Mkodi forbid, we could even travel together for a bit!"

She was making fun of him, but it was very obviously innocent, lighthearted, and an attempt to get him to smile, relax even, "You've not had a very nice life, have you?" it was almost out of the blue, "The way you're reacting to me makes it a bit obvious."

She was pretty talkative that was for sure. He wasn't really that used to any others that talked this much that was for sure. He was warming up, he had a cold outside but he definitely had a soft inside. His tail flicked behind him as he listened to her trying to find the places where he was supposed to talk. Off the bad he found something for him to say. A Current name? That idea more than confused him. The idea of getting a different name just couldn't register with him. "What do you mean you're going to find your real one?" He asked arching his brow as he spoke, not really that sure of what else to say about that subject. He was given a name and he was called that name for his entire life with out really thinking that he was going to have another one some day.

He normally wasn't one to smile but he couldn't help but to bust a small smile, it was slight and it was more of a smirk. He didn't know how to smile, he didn't do it that often. "Moo?" He asked with the smile. It reminded him of the type of nickname his older sister gave him. she was the only lioness that he knew that was this friendly. Other than this lioness that he was talking to. As she stated that the adventure wasn't going to go anywhere his smile faded. The thing was this adventure may move somewhere else. He gritted his teeth for a moment thinking about it he wasn't going to comment on it for now. He just couldn't give away anything at the moment. "I guess it won't hurt." He said simply trying to get word in while the lioness was talking but her next comment surprised him completely. He didn't know what to say to him next.

He sat back on his haunches before arching a small brow at her. "I didn't have a horrible life." He said simply, almost snapped, his father was a great lion. He was sure of it anyway! He didn't think it was that horrible. "I just have to be strong." He stated simply his voice was followed by a nod.
