It had been a long evening for the poor lioness. Her eyes ached, and yes, a blind ones eyes could ache, and she felt her paws starting to flop. How much longer could it be till she found somewhere to take shelter for the evening? It couldn't be much longer. But for now, she needed to rest.

Since becoming blind, her other senses had increased, and she could know hear, feel, smell, and taste ten times more than she had been able to before. And the touch would be where it came into play for her to find a place to lie down. She continued searching for approximately fifteen minutes, before setting down under a tree where there was plenty of shade to keep her out of the hot evening sun.

"Oh what I would give for a nice drink of water right now...," she mumbled as she laid her head upon her paws. It had only been a couple of hours since her last drink. Surely she could last until she found some water again. Either way, she knew she'd need to find some soon.

She stretched her hind legs out and soon began to snore. Before becoming blind, she had been a deep sleeper, and nothing could wake her up, but after it, her defense mechanisms had needed work, so she became a light sleeper, being able to wake from almost anything. Including footsteps..

Even if one's senses weren't heightened it wouldn't be hard to hear Styx coming. He was a little on the short side but he was also extremely well muscled and also pretty big in general. It was hard to miss him because of his weight he put into every step. It was hard to miss him. Not only that but he was also not really a graceful lion. A warrior was to announce themselves with every step unless they had a reason to hide. He had no reason to hide at the moment. And because he didn't need to hide right now there wasn't going to be any silencing to his foot steps.

His reason for being out at the moment and actually not even being in is pride was that he wanted to go and find himself a female to have cubs with. He was getting to the point where he felt like he needed to bring back some of his own spawn to the pride to show how strong he was and how he could produce some strong cubs as well. so he was on the hunt moving slowly and looking where he could. Everywhere he could that was.

He was wandering again today when something caught his attention. the markings of the lioness were interesting and a perfect thing hecould bring back. He didn't want to bring her bakc though... just those markings. With that idea he started to approach.

As the footsteps grew louder from the lion approaching in the distance, Kieran broke out of her light slumber, and felt uneasy. Her fur started to stick up in all directions, and she didn't enjoy the feeling. She felt like she was being looked at like a piece of meat. And she didn't enjoy that.

"Is someone there?!" She demanded. If it was someone, and they were a threat, she'd need to rely on the combat she taught herself. If not.. well she could use another person to talk to for a while, she guessed.

Styx was confused at why the lioness was asking why some one was there? He didn't even understand that was for sure. He stared at lioness the completely confused his tail flicked around behind her and then a small, smug smile grew on his lips. "Well, yes there is some one here." He said simply his tail flicking around behind him. "I'm looking for company on this fine night." He said simply once again, still smiling as he spoke. He was trying to use his manors the best he could.

Her ears flattened. His voice didn't sound of a kind lion. He sounded mean. And she didn't want to deal with that. "And what do you want from me?" She hissed. She could feel him in her presence. Her ears perked up when she heard the words company. "C-... Company?" She asked. She'd been alone for so long.. it could be nice, y'know, having a friend to talk to. Even if for a couple hours. "Well.. I mean, you'll have to be nice. I can't see." She took a breath. "Could you.. I dunno. Describe what you look like? What it looks like out here?"
