It was a quiet evening for Adaya - though it couldn't be called dusk quite yet it was surely after noon and well on it's way towards dusk. About dinner time, Adaya imagined it to be as she looked to the position of the sun in the cloudless sky. A soft yet cool breeze gushed past as she ambled through the woods into a small clearing. She had come to be quite content with her solitary life, and the lack of other soquili about was quite comforting to her. It was on these random trips from her mountain home to the forest below though that she became wary and slightly skittish, ever watchful of her surroundings. She still had a great love for the fruits that could be found on the foliage in the forest, and though she did not wish to converse her want for the fruit was more than enough to cause her to venture out into the open where the others roamed.

Cooper's stomach growled angrily toward the fast moving stallion. He had traveled a long while that day and hadn't allowed time for food or water as of yet. He was on a mission, but every mission needed time for recovery and food. The alicorn stretched his wings and made his way into a small meadow he'd found food previously. There was a pond nearby that wasn't too awfully dirty, and there were plenty of berry bushes. The stallion sniffed at the air, hoping for the aroma of fresh blueberries, or maybe some raspberries. Instead, the stallion smelled the familiar scent of another Soquili. He sighed lightly, as he wasn't in a particularly talkative mood. Food was significantly more important, though, and he pushed through to the clearing. Not to his disappointment, he found plenty of bushes filled with ripe berries. Cooper nickered a greeting to the mare as not to startle her with his presence before he began nibbling at one of the plants

Oh what a find this was. Adaya's eyes light up with glee for a brief moment as they fell on the assortment of fruit bearing bushes and shrubs that littered the edges and floor of the clearing, and she quickly set to work winding her way through them to mentally catalog all the possibilities and the conditions of the fruit as well. She was thoroughly pleased with all that was about, and after wandering for a good moment she selected a single bush towards the edge of the clearing to feast upon for a moment before gathering some to take home and store in the snow. She had been buried neck deep in a bush when the nicker of another soquili startled her. She had known full well that the probability of happening upon another was high, but she had still hoped that she wouldn't. She was a tad bit disappointed to tell the truth, but with so many berry bushes around the scent was bound to attract another. She huffed and sighed as she watched the male stallion continue on and select a bush of his own to eat from. After taking a moment to shake any stray leaves and twigs from her braided mane before calling out to the male. Though she was disinclined to converse, there was always useful information that could be gathered from those accustomed to the area. "Good afternoon!" She called out, fishing for a verbal response.

Cooper continued to nibble at his bush while the mare shook herself clean. Her voice only rang as disappointment in his ears, and he looked up with a polite smile. "Hello, Miss." His attention was quickly returned to the berries in front of him. After a few more moments, he sighed and decided it would be terribly rude to just leave it at that. "My name is Cooper." He went back to the bushes and got a mouth full of under ripe fruit in his distraction. Trying not to be rude, he grimaced and swallowed the bitter berries whole before quickly snatching up a bite of sweet blueberries.
