And Ariane knows this because her hand had just touched Jude's booty. Butt. Bum. Behind. Bottom. Buttocks. You get the idea. While she had always freely invaded Jude's personal space for her own fun and games, what was different now was the fact that they were a thing - she hadn't been a thing with anyone since... Since so long ago that she couldn't remember when she last had a thing.
Their relationship dynamics hadn't changed much though, which she took to be a good thing. After all, you only get together with someone you get along with on various levels, so for any one of the parties to change drastically would be a rip off - like buying a box of dark chocolates only to realize that there was white chocolate inside each dark chocolate. Ugh.
Right now, they were in Jude's room - she had walked in unannounced as usual a few minutes before, giving Jude's butt a grab before sitting down on the edge of his bed, "I have a craving for sushi."

One would suspect Jude was used to the booty grabbing habits of Ariane day or night. He was bent over and picking things up, the door opening was expected and he just barely got a view of Ariane's feet as she moved toward him.
The butt grab caused him to drop what he had in his hands and reach back to swat at her after he made his usual grunt of surprise. Maybe it was just a way of telling Ariane that she won the 'Surprise Jude' game for the day.
"One day you're going to grab someone's a** and they're gonna cut your hands off," he mumbled at her with just a little amusement.
He resumed picking up some of the books he'd dropped to the floor, "...I see. We could do a sushi run, I guess."

"As long as I don't grab Caelius' a** - which I have no intention of doing because I still value my life - I don't think that would be much of a problem," Ariane replied, snorting in amusement as she watched Jude's butt from where she was seated, "If only it was that easy... Don't think we did enough to rack up enough credits to take a vacation?"
Sure, it doesn't work that way - it's more of a matter of time - but there was no way she was risking being thrown into a pod for inactivity.

He finished putting books away and dusted off his hands as he wandered to the bed and flopped over next to her. "Well. I did a mission a few weeks back. Haunted ship, spooky stuff. Don't know if that is enough to get any perks though."
Jude stretched his arms up over his head, "We could see if the cafeteria has anything that could be called sushi."

"Oooh?" Ariane turned to look at Jude, a small, amused smile on her lips, "You actually went on a mission? Voluntarily? That's somewhat of a surprise." It's not that Jude was a slacker or anything like that, but last she checked, he wasn't particularly invested or involved in much, "Would it be sushi served on a human platter though?"
She wants the exotic sushi experience.

"I felt like doing something manly to try and impress you and keep you around," he teased idly with a small shrug. It was a joke for the most part.
...It wasn't like Ariane had many places to go to avoid him. So..hah.
He then sprawled out a bit an arm obnoxiously crossing over her abdomen as he invaded her personal space just because he could, "Tell you what. If that is what you want to do? We'll earn the time off and go get some human platter style sushi."

"It's a real shame, but I don't exactly have a lot of places to escape to," Ariane voiced out his thoughts with a laugh, rolling her eyes as she flicked her fingers at his invasive hand. Eyeing it, she couldn't help but comment, "I've been a pretty bad influence on you."
Placing an arm around his shoulder - since two can play at this game - she pulled him closer until their shoulders were touching, "Ahh, I knew that you would understand my needs, Judy." Eating sushi off a human platter was apparently a need, "So, what happened at the haunted ship place you were talking about?"

"Are you complaining about it? I would think you'd be having a little party at how much of a 'bad' influence you've been on me." Jude replied with a small chuckle. When she pulled him closer he tilted his body toward the side and just pulled her into his arms in return. Since they were now invading each other's body space, might as well make it comfortable.
Jude shifted a shoulder, "I have come to accept them," he said simply as if he was long suffering with Ariane's 'conditions' and 'needs'. If anything he was slowly but surely changing into ... someone else. There were still essences of the dower young man that first joined the Hunter faction but he was now a lot less closed off to those closest to him.
"Well I played nice with some of the kids, and I didn't bite anyone that didn't deserve it," he said quietly. "I also took a rookie under my wing and looked after her as she got to learn the ropes. Her name is Maebe."

"I definitely wasn't complaining," Ariane laughed, putting her arms around his neck and pulling herself up onto his lap because why not; it's not like it's the first time she claimed his lap anyway... Holding onto his chin with her fingers, she tilted his face towards her and smirked, "Although I'm pretty sure you're not as good or innocent as you look. You can't fool me~"
Pausing, she listened to Jude's recount of the mission, raising an eyebrow when he mentioned taking a rookie under his wing, "You're just full of surprises today, aren't you? You actually reached out to someone new?"
She always had a couple of Maebe jokes in mind, but maebe she'll tell them later. Just maebe.

Suddenly Ariane was on his lap.
All according to plan... .. .. ..?
Well, mostly. Probably because he hadn't been planning any of this, just going by ear. Jude tilted his head toward Ariane and just smirked a bit and shrugged, "Maybe I am and maybe I am not. I know I'm not the guy you met ... Like..what..a year ago? Two years? I can't seem to keep track of time in this place." Jude shrugged his shoulders. What did it matter? He was just aware of things within him being different.
Things that bothered him before don't bother him now. Things that made him flustered and nervous? No longer did. Either he matured or it just became inconsequential each time he risked his life out on the field. Then again dating Ariane caused quite a few changes of mindsets within Jude.
"I know, right? Do I get a treat for doing all of these awesome things?" Jude asked with raised eyebrow, he was grinning a little at Ariane.

"The first time you met, you cringed when I touched you... Like I had girl cooties or something," Ariane couldn't help but snigger at the memory, her mind having exaggerated that first meeting and Jude's reaction to her. She had lost track of time too - between mandatory missions and voluntary ones, she was just glad that she was still alive. Still alive.
"Oh I don't know," She saw the opportunity and she was going to take it, "Maebe you might, Maebe you won't..."

"You got me used to contact or else." He replied back at her but there was nothing else to say about it other than that. "It wasn't like I disliked you touching me ... I just ... am not a touchy sort of person. It wasn't like my momma never hugged me, she hugged me lots, I just...withdrew from that at a certain point."
Things he'd never told Ariane about but now he was telling her. One could suppose it was reward for being so close to him for such a long time or it could also be considered torture.
Jude paused at Ariane's response, "..Hey now. Don't use those up before you have the chance to meet her. Can't use up all your good Maebe puns without her being here. She'll be sorely disappointed."
Most likely not.

"I did love my momma a lot," he replied as he rolled his eyes. "I adored her and she was a wonderful woman, but I can't be much of a momma's boy if I'm here right now," he laughed a bit.
He gave up the ability to hug or talk to his Mother when the day came to be a part of the Hunter group. Jude had his reasons and they were good ones.
Jude let out a small groan as he reached up a hand and put it on her mouth, "I'm going to have to get a muzzle for you before I let you meet her."
