Energy on its own was a bounty he'd not had too much trouble collecting. His size, speed and already considerable strength that were added to by the power of his betters made most immediately take the flight option, and it almost always failed them.

The reservations he'd felt immediately after the Carnival, the dreams and distress, were fading slowly, and he'd found that whatever had broken in those moments had been shored up better by the time- he didn't hesitate as much now. He didn't expect the nightmares would stay. Glorious promise that he was finally becoming a soldier.

But until tonight one last rite he'd assigned himself had yet to be passed. He had not captured and brought one of the enemy to his lord as gift and tithe for the honor and rank that had been given him. He'd found the young girl that would be that sacrifice tonight.

She was young, small. Small the way middle-schoolers usually were, unless she were just a very petite high-schooler. She'd run at first, fought once he caught up to her with sudden sprays of light and magic like roman candles, but her little body hadn't taken being 'jogged'. She was still alive, and pleasantly subdued for transport. Titan brushed at some burns in his shirt before hefting the young thing onto his shoulder like a sack. He checked the aura's near, in case his lord or another higher up might be near enough to delivery the package straight away to.

"That is no Captain or General. That is a sushi near, " the feel of the aura was strong, unmistakeable. Another one was practically on top of him, and he hadn't kept abreast enough to notice.

Titan turned slowly on his heel. His grip on his prisoner tightened, like whomever was near would just appear like a ninja-fox and steal her before he had a chance to blink.

The feel of two low level signatures had not been terribly noticeable, but the fact they were so close together had drawn more attention than their levels. Ida had found herself worrying about the low level knight and had finally decided it would be a good idea to at least check on whomever it was, just in case.

It turned out to be a good thing, because when she arrived, the poor girl was over the should of... Well, a really big Negaverse agent. He had to have over a foot on her, and was easily twice her weight if she were soaking wet... Any other time, Ida might have found it worrisome, but his lower level and the fact he held a girl captive gave her all the courage she needed. Officers might be stronger than her at base level, but she had expirience on her side.

"Stop!" The senshi called as she jumped, closing the distance between them to something more conductive to skirmishing, if need be. "Put her down and step away. You are not going to be leaving here with her and it would be better for you if you didn't try."

Short, to the point... Maybe not all that convincing considering her appearance. For once, Ida found herself sort of wishing she wore more than a short skirt and wrapping scarf, anything to make her look a little less delicate than she did. It had never really mattered before, but lately a little oomph to her intimidation would have been welcome. Anything was better than nothing.

The source of the voice appeared, and he wasn't certain he was impressed. She was extra small. "You are the fun-size senshi-snack, ja? You look more like a Lady than a warrior, hooded for the night."

"This prize was hard win. I will not leave without her, not without you proving that you win her." Unloading the girl from his shoulder would just open his prisoner to being taken without having to face him. He didn't trust these these senshi girls to fight honorably, not after Leda cut and run. It might be a handicap to try to fight with having the girl still in hand, but that was a risk he'd rather take- like a war mastiff with prey already in mouth, he wasn't going to open his jaws out of charity.

"You convince me to give her up, you win her. You don't, she is already my prize." Titan lifted his hammer out and pointed it at her, hoping she wouldn't recognize the LARP foam for what it really was, "What is your name? Names exchanged is respect."

Ida was torn between two methods of approaching this situation. The old her wanted to talk this out, make him see that what he was doing was wrong and to give up the girl for the sake of that small piece of him that still held goodness. The newer, growing part of her wanted to hit him, hard, with a fist or magic, and take the girl by force. The negaverse wasnt to be trusted. They were cruel and heartless, they hurt people without mercy or empathy. It was strange, still, when she realized the bent her mind was taking. Not long ago, she wouldn't have even considered that method.

The fun-sized comment took her a little by surprise, but considering how tall he was, it must certainly seem that way to him. However he meant it, the insult didn't hold quite the burn it might have for another girl. Yes, she was small, and being called a lady was really not an insult at all. It was enough to sway her towards a more charitable mindset and she decided to answer his question.

"The Negaverse has no respect, save maybe for themselves. You must be very new, to think that. My name is Super Sailor Ida, senshi of Orchids, and this flower will not wilt!"

The using her phrase seemed a hair on the cheesy side, but whatever. Better that he should know she meant business.

"Again, I ask that you please let the girl go. If you want to fight me, then fine, but at least put her down so you can use both hands." I don't want to catch her in the crossfire, was unspoken, but hung heavy in Ida's mind. If there was one thing the delicate lookin senshi could promise and pride herself on was that she had never hurt an innocent person.

She was magic of ...orchids? That was a kind of flower they sold in grocery stores, wasn't it? And she was out playing in a war? "Titanlåvenite. We shall see if it is well met, Super Sailor Ida."

"I can say the same of Leda, and sailor honor. No, I do not trust you. You would run round, scoop her up and leave without fair battle. If you want her, you must fight me just this way. " He almost said sushi-honor, but corrected himself mentally before that slipped out. He was getting better about correct war-time vocabulary.

Not to the death. Not this time, not until bring one back alive. That is my goal. "If I win, you will be added to the prize. You win, I will surrender her to you. Make your choice, or I will take my leave."

Leda? Ida knew her, and she wondered what had happened when the pair had met. Was Leda okay? The poor girl seemed like she could use a friend or two, but she was sure that she wouldn't do something under handed... Unless maybe she were desperate. That would make sense.

"When dealing with the Negaverse, sometimes honor must be put aside in order to preserve life. I won't run away from you, though, not until the fight is over. I accept your challenge."

Titan... He certainly looked the part. Looks were only skin deep though. It was what was inside of them that would decide this. Maybe, in the process, she might make some sort of impression on this lieutenant that might help guide him back to the order side... As slim as that hope was.

Settling herself into a ready stance, she gestured to him.

"Come on then. When you're ready."

"There is no life without honor. No honor without Jarl." His expression darkened. She was stuck on insulting the honor of his people. Well, perhaps she had met that Bitchfit, which would sour anyone's opinion about them. It certainly soured his own when he tried to fathom who had decided that one was worth recruiting. But it wasn't for him to question, and it wasn't Obsidian's doing anyway, that it would really matter or not. His lord had better taste and a better eye for usefulness than whoever had brought that one in. Maybe Ida felt the same about sailors in her midst.

No group all winners, no group all losers? He'd ask Buddy or maybe even Benitoite about it sometime. They both had good heads on their shoulders. Better than his own. Hearing her resolve, Titan gave a tight-lipped nod, then shifted his weight and started into a sprint. He'd use the hammer in the try for the first blow, resolving himself to just dealing with the fact that it might bend or snap on the force of impact if it hit her in the swing at her head.

Who goes to battle wielding foam? She was going to be fast. Fast like Troy and his Lord. But how hard did she hit with those little hands?

Ida's eyes widened just slightly when the Lt. rushed at her, swinging his giant hammer... Made of foam? It looked like it, but it was hard to tell while he was swinging it. She felt like a train was barreling down on her and she dodged, using her slight frame to advantage.

Dropping down to avoid the swing at her head, the senshi kicked out at his shins with the leg she wasn't balanced on, using her hands braced on the ground and a sweeping motion intended to take him off his feet. If nothing else, he'd have to dodge or something, which could give her an opening. If he fell, maybe she could separate him from his captive.

It was hard for her to understand what he had said, mostly because she'd never heard the word jarl before, but also because his notion of honor seemed slightly off from hers... They obviously had a different set of values, even if he seemed less malicious than most. The knight over his shoulder sort of squashed that, though.

Titan grimaced when the girl vanished out of the arc, dropping from immediate sight as he felt impact on his calves. Checking his balance he managed not to sprawl, but couldn't avoid being sent with his own momentum in a Footloose double-knee slide for a few feet. Popping up from it was a little harder that he would have liked, knees stinging from impact off all his own momentum on his knees.

Had she intentionally used his size against him? He was thankful, offhand, it had been a sweep and not jabbing one of those pointy small feet somewhere unpleasant.

Tripping was no excuse, though, and as he straightened up again he hucked the hammer across at her. It was like attacking someone with a Renaissance dodgeball, really. Keep engaged and close distance again...

The impact of hitting tree stumps with her leg was enough to delay her so they came up together, the senshi forced to spin so her back wasn't to her opponent. What she didn't expect was having the hammer thrown at her and there was some impressive Matrix style action as she attempted to dodge the thrown weapon. Being not nearly as bendy as a CGI character, Ida's bend was not quite enough to get her out of range and the foam clipped her far shoulder. Thank you karma that it was only foam... No shattered bones today.

Normally, Ida prefered to keep her distance so her speed became an advantage, but he seemed to want to bring it in close, denying her the space. Her world closed down to the two of them and he had her full, undivided attention. Whatever his thoughts on honor and good versus evil, she was going to beat him soundly with her own two hands. Others might have gotten a different approach, but it would be a point of pride for her to show him what her small frame disguised.

Ida rushed Titan with her full speed and at the last minute, dodged to the side to pass him by. Using a move Aventine had taught her, she jerked her elbow at his back in passing, seeking to drive it into the (relatively) soft tissue over his kidneys.

The acrobatics were impressive- even just watching her move, independent of the dodge, was aesthetic with color and ribbons. Feminine, and approaching a deadliness that he noticeably lacked. He could break things, and he coudl do it very, very well. But he had to have them in hand first, and she was being a lot less obliging at that competition than Troy had been.

As soon as she was in a position behind him, he tensed, expecting blow to fall- and it did not disappoint. He didn't stumble forward like he would have for Troy, but he gave a surprised cough. All that force was maybe made worse by that tiny little surface area of her elbow. He growled after the air returned to his lung as he wheeled on his heel.

Titan arched his wrist out with his turn, hoping to catch her with a backhand, "There is plenty punch is in such small hands."

It was a shame the rugby move earned her only a little movement from him. The guy was built like a wall... and being swing at was like being hit with a two by four. The senshi felt his hand smack her as she moved out of range, a grimace crossing her face as she dance back and spun to face him, her arms up defensively.

"They only look small because you're huge." She threw back at him, frowning. It wasn't her fault she was so slight... and normally that didn't bother her. Ida was getting just a little tired of him reminding her how small she was. Enough. This dancing around was getting old, and though it wasn't her style to do things this way, it was time to end it.

"Beautiful Petal darts!" She shouted as she swept her hand in front of her and called up a trail of petals after hand. They hardened into needles of light and sprayed forward at him, though the basic attack was little more than annoyance. Ida couldn't risk hurting the unconscious knight with an attack that wasn't precisely accurate.

Hoping to take him by surprise, she came in close behind the attack, using it for the distraction it was to get in close and deliver a flurry of short punches towards his midsection upwards as high as she could reach.

Go down already...

In all honesty, Titan startled when she shouted her magical attack. He'd not really faced a whole lot of magic yet- Troy hadn't cast anything, Leda's odd attack had gone wide, and the carnival had been noticeably lacking in direct attacks except for the man in the skirt that had seemed exceptionally angry. Draconis and Pomona's attacks had been in protection of him, against Youma, and he was happy to not be facing down explosions and burns.

Titan immediately brought up his arm to shield his face, and the leather of his bracer helped some. His shirt, and beneath his chest and stomach, his arms, the poor captive's backside, and the front of his own thighs were now pin-cushioned with sharps like he'd gone swimming in a needle pool. What a troublesome dweomer.

But she was already in his personal space and hitting what she could get at with her hard, tiny little fists. He was going to have so many deep bruises from this. Since the senshi was right up in his business, Titan bear pawed a hand to swipe her and try to throw her to the concrete hard. It made the needles in that forearm feel tight and pull. It is exactly like Troy, she is so fast it is hard to follow her. And her hits are hard enough, even if not that hard. Drawing this out will just be a long, painful exercise.

The word attrition would have come to mind if his vocabulary was the large, but it wasn't. And much like losing his prey against Troy, who'd demanded attention away from energy gathering, escape was a door opened by giving over what he had hard won. Was he really ready for that yet?

Bluefire Dragonz

The glowing needles disappeared almost as soon as Ida finished attacking, leaving behind not even a cut to clothing or skin. That was a big reason why she'd used the basic attack and not her super one... She didn't want to hurt his captive.

The whole fight was frustrating... He took her hits and they seemed to hurt, but he didn't go down and he stubbornly refused to yield. He was like a block of wood and Ida knew she needed to end this before she tired herself out. That would be disastrous for both her and the knight.

His close range swipe was indeed like getting slapped by some large beast and the smaller girl gasped as she was hit and tossed down, landing painfully on her hands and a hip. Her scarf fell in her face and she impatiently pushed it back, freeing her brown curls to fall around her shoulders as she rolled up onto her feet again.

"I don't understand you people..." She said as she rushed him again, dancing always to the side in an attempt to keep him off balance while she struck at him with fists and feet. If she got an opening, she would hit the back of his knee and hopefully bring him down, but she was no where near ready to give in herself.

"Why do you insist on hurting innocent people..." The words were more to herself than him, and delivered between swings.

He would have been sad if he'd been privy to the wood comparison since it applied in more than one way. Titan back-stepped a pace when he successfully connected. The smart thing to do would have been to kick at her while she was still down and fussing with her hood and hair. He checked the balance of his captive on shoulder instead.

She was up again in a flash- a purple ball of fists, feet and fury. He took slow sidesteps blocking or absorbing what he could of the onslaught until the hooked kick to the back of his knee dropped him to a less looming height. It still hurt from his slide early on. Titan lifted his wide, calloused palm up in the way of her barrage, trying to catch a fist before it smacked him.

"To serve a throne is sometimes pain. Innocence is no excuse from service."

"Enough. I cannot beat you yet."
"The prize is yours."
