She was still not used to this damn mountain, and yes, she was still complaining about it, albeit mainly in an internal monologue of annoyance rather than anything out loud. After all, it wasn't like she or anyone else could actually do anything about it, which made complaining inherently useless except as a tool to vent. Still, she didn't want anyone to think she was being a malcontent or something like that - she really wasn't! She was just taking awhile to adjust. A long while. That was her prerogative, wasn't it?

Ari-bhiri was thinking herself in aggravated circles after the day's hunt and meal, as she relaxed and cleaned the blood from her paws. This was her being content. Really.

Gopala lazily sauntered through the new pride lands. She wasn't sure how she felt about their relocation. She'd spent her whole life in those swamps, even her name quest had only taken her a few miles beyond the pride's borders (not that she'd admit that, no she went on an epic journey...). The walk had been almost as terrible as the fire. She wished she had wings like the god she saw on one or two occasions in the swamps, always talking to a brown and blue lioness. That would have made it easier. Or maybe if one of the males she was always flirting with had carried her. Gopala hated how empty the plains were while they traveled. It made it so much harder to sneak off with boys.

Even now she was still growing accustomed to the terrain and the new climate when she saw her little niece, Ari. "ARRRIIIIII!" Gopala called loudly and somewhat obnoxiously to her kin. Gopala sometimes had a tendency to be whiny and Ari was a good choice to complain to. Family had to put up with you, after all.

She plopped down next to the younger lioness and draped her head over her shoulders. "Do you hate this mountain or do you hate this mountain?"

Gopala did not hate this mountain, but she'd say anything for a good conversation.
